Jake Knight came home one night to find trouble on his doorstep. Times two. With infant twins to take care of and no idea of how to do it, he reaches out to the one woman whose heart he broke eight years earlier.

In no mood to play nanny or to do anything remotely kind, Olivia does her best to keep her distance. But with guilt being thrown at her from every angle, she agrees to a temporary arrangement. The only problem? It means living under Jake's roof for the entire time.

Jake has too much on his plate to even begin to contemplate making things up to Olivia for his past mistakes but the more time he spends with her, the more he wants their arrangement to be permanent. Can he convince her that he's sincere in his feelings and that he is looking for a woman to love and not just a live-in nanny?

I really struggled with this installment of the series, which stinks because I enjoyed the first 2 and was looking forward to reading this one. The plot had the potential to be great but fell short. Jake is immature, impatient, and his temper... He has a short fuse. As far as Olivia goes, she'd be patient, wise, and understanding one minute, then miffed, offended, and hurt the next. And the fighting and bickering... they acted so childish I wanted to put them both on time-out! Truth be told, from what I could see, neither of them are ready to be parents without some counseling and parenting classes.

I'm sad to report that this one really disappointed me.

It was a swing and a miss for Baby, Be Mine, by Samantha Chase. A big miss unfortunately. Jake’s ex drops their twins on his doorstep—he didn’t even know she was pregnant—and offers to terminate her parental rights for a lump sum. Completely unprepared, he asks his best friend Mike for help. Mike enlists his sister Olivia. Liv has loved Jake her whole life but hasn’t spoken to him for 7 or 8 years following his rejection of her on her 18th birthday. She reluctantly agrees to help after her mother guilts her into it. The temporary fix begins to feel a lot more permanent, but one of them has to take a chance to make it that way.

So yeah, I wasn’t really onboard with the premise. Just like in The Baby Arrangement, the birth mother is villainized, a scapegoat if you will. I didn’t like that very much in either story, but in this one it just seemed over the top. It made me wonder about the sort of man that Jake was to have been involved with someone who would hide a pregnancy and then ask for money to go away. That aside, it was the third novella in the book, so I dug in. I liked Liv and Jake. I liked watching them learn about the babies together and let go so they could become more than friends. The definitely had chemistry. It was the plot the fell short for me. It simply lacked depth. It felt drawn out with the themes of ‘I can’t stand in the way of her dreams’ and ‘he doesn’t love me’ repeating over and over again. In fact, if you removed the feedings and diaper changes and baby routine, there wouldn’t be much left in this story. You get a little of Liv’s background, even less of Jake’s, and this sucky situation that doesn’t seem to have a solution unless someone is willing to risk something.

And that ending? What the hell was that? I hate accidental reconciliations, and while this one wasn’t exactly accidental—thanks Mike—it may as well have been. The whole thing felt incredibly unromantic and anticlimactic for me. Blah. Totally ruined the story for me. At least we got some emotion from Liv.

Baby, Be Mine (Life, Love and Babies book 3) by Samantha Chase

Wow! It doesn't get much better than this. Samantha Chase has proven over and over she an write. this story has everything. This story is emotional and passionate and sweet and intense all in one. Can we say Awesome!!!

In Baby, Be Mine we meet Jake and Olivia. Two people with history. Jake is best friend's with Olivia's older brother Mike. Olivia has been in love with Jake forever. Olivia has not spoken with Jake in years since his rejection of her on her 18th birthday. Jake discovers he is a father to twin babies by his former fiancé. Suddenly Jake enters a world he has no knowledge of and finds he desperately needs help in the form of Olivia. Olivia agrees to temporarily help Jake adjust to being a single dad she struggles with hurts of the past and an attraction for Jake. Things begin to heat up as they spend more time together.

I love romance novels that involve a single parent. Samantha Chase really wrote a great book. I loved every aspect of this book. It is clear to see why Samantha Chase is a great author.
I give this 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. I highly recommend this book.

Jake’s girlfriend of two years drops their twins on his doorstep for a lump sum, and he is thrown for a loop. Turning to the woman whose heart he broke, he asks Olivia to help him by being his live-in nanny until he can figure out his next steps.

He broke her heart 8 years ago, and being his nanny is the last thing Olivia wants to do for Jake. However, she can let these little ones down, so she agrees.

The more time they spend together, the closer they get. While Oliva fears for her heart again, Jake searches for ways to show her how much she truly means to him.

I love a good second-chance romance, and this one was sweet. However, the idea that Jake wouldn't recognize Olivia is a bit far-fetched since they were involved with each other several years ago. And the fact that the twins’ mother just drops off the kids while he says he never even knew she was pregnant is even worse because they lived in the same town and hung out in the same circles.

As sweet as the story is, it’s so far out in left field that it’s hard to give it more than three stars for entertainment value.

I usually am not a big fan of the Hero having kids with someone else. But I found that I wasn’t completely invested with these characters. I don’t know why, but I kind of didn’t care. It could be because I find this authors make characters to be sort of wimpy. They are just not attractive to me for whatever reason.

If you’re just looking for a quick story without a lot of angst. This is the story, actually this is the series. This series would be great to listen to after a heavy, emotional book that leaves you feeling wrecked and you just need a light unemotional read. And it helps that these are free with audible plus.

Great read...

Jake had his life thrown upside down when his ex fiance leaves his unknown twins with him. His best friend, Mike calls in a favor from his little sister. When Olivia shows up things start to heat up. Mike was quite devious at the end, I didn't see that coming haha.

The story idea was a bit tired and unrealistic with the way the babies were just "dropped off". There's always more to it and that part was ignored.
The narration was pretty much the same as the other books in the series. It was an easy listen but not spectacular.

I enjoyed this cute story though I wished Jake had more interactions with the twins like Olivia did. Also I would have liked more romance between Jake and Olivia.

Giving up

Been and Madison's mom didn't want anything to do with them didn't want to be pregnant didn't want the child definitely didn't want twins.

Jake was stunned into fatherhood at a drop of a dime. His girlfriend of 2 years shows up on his doorstep with the twins and tells him she wants a lump sum of money to turn over full parental consent of the twins and she will never look back. Ben accepts the offer and he is now the proud full sole custody of Ben and Madison.

Jake's best. friend Mike calls his sister Olivia to come to Jake's house they had an emergency and needed help right away. After some persuasion Liv decided to go. When she got there she was shocked to see two grown men basically as white as a ghost. She is told the story about the kids and she changed them feed them and they were now quiet and ready to sleep. They tried to talk Liv into staying until Jake could figure something out he didn't want a nanny due to what his childhood life was like.

Liv comes back the next day and helps Jake while she was on her sabbatical from being a photographer for Actresses and Actor's and as they talk she asked Jake why he pushed her away on her 18th birthday when she kissed him. He saw her brother Mike coming and didn't want to ruin her birthday by him and Mike getting Into a fight over him kissing her.

Here's a good question Liv and Jake pick-up where they left off 8 years earlier. She has fallen in love with Ben and Maddie. So its time for her to go back to work in LA. Does Olivia leave the twins and Jack behind and return to work or does she given them up her career to stay with them? Read the entire book for all the ups and downs and the answer to the question.

Happy reading!

"Who knew such tiny people could turn lives upside down so fast?"

I love second chance/friends to lovers romances!!

Olivia had spent most of her life attracted to a guy she thought she couldn't have. It was her brother's best friend, Jake. On her 18th birthday, the took the plunge and made a move...only to be shoved away, literally.

Now, years later, Jake needs her help. It seems he became a father overnight to twins and he can't do it alone. He needs the one person he trusts more than anyone besides his best friend.

Let the games begin....

"For years he tried to forget her, but he never could. She was always there in the back of his mind."

I loved the push and pull/give and take situation they had going on. She was still feeling the hurt of rejection from all those years ago, but couldn't stop the love she suddenly felt for those sweet babies...and Jake.

He fought hard not to let his attraction to Olivia cloud his mind from doing his best for his children, but she was quickly becoming the missing piece to his crazy puzzle.

"I'm still not going anywhere."
"Olivia, I'm telling you a relationship of any kind between us would be wrong."
"So you're saying that I should just forget that I have feelings for you? That I never had feelings for you?...It's not gonna happen."
"But--"
"Let me worry about what's right and what's wrong for me, okay?"

This book had so much heart!

I think I was falling in love with those babies myself!! ;)

I loved this storyline so much! Olivia and Jake were a match made in heaven, but they needed time to grow up and find themselves, and each other, again.

So sweet!

"I just can't believe you're actually here and I'm really touching you."
"I feel the exact same way."

Samantha Chase writes the sweetest of love stories. The final installment in her “Life, Love and Babies” trilogy, “Baby, Be Mine” is one of her stellar works of sweet romance throwing in an unsuspecting alpha male into fatherhood, with not one but twins!!!! Now isn’t that a perfect Father’s Day gift!!!!!

Here’s one handsome, sexy construction owner Jake Knight, getting hammered and nailed with the unexpected package of twins, his twins and add to the mix, his one and only, longtime love of his life Olivia, and he is one royally cemented guy!!!!!

This is one down-to-earth, utterly delicious book, not to be missed. Olivia is the super ace babysitter blackmailed into helping Jake with the babies, and Jake is on a crash course of Fatherhood 101. As they make adjustments, find a routine, reconnect with each other and bond with the babies, it is a delightful ride of romance, sleepless nights of lust and need, not to forget the feedings and the diaper changes, lifestyle changes and renovations, I had so much fun reading this book.

As much as books are fun to read, I love when an author injects a certain element of learning that applies to our daily lives, share personal experiences or bring to life emotions that we go through everyday. Jake Knight as a man thrown into fatherhood was so well etched – his fear, frustrations and insecurities, were so clearly penned, you could picture it happening to any of your male friends.
It’s always been a pleasure to read Samantha Chase.

Baby Be Mine by Samantha Chase is just as good the two romance stories before it. Wow, Samantha Chase really knows how to create worlds of fiction that pop to life and drag readers deep into her words. This new story is about a young woman who finally gets the courage to kiss her crush. A crush who happens to be her brother’s best friend. However, all goes wrong. For the split seconds that the kiss lasted, her crush pushed her away from him. This has left a sour note in Liv’s mouth when it comes to seeing her crush once more. Except this time due to her brother’s way, she ends up helping her crush take care of two babies. Twins are a handful especially for a bachelor who know nothing about how to care for them. Surprisingly, Liv doesn’t know it yet but her crush has liked her just as much as she has always liked him. But the question lies on what’s going to happen between them now? Baby Be Mine is suspenseful and addictive. Readers will love these characters and the adorable banters as well as the babies. Overall, Baby Be Mine by Samantha Chase is also, a must read for all.

This is just one of the sweetest love stories that makes you smile and feel warm and gooey inside. It is a sweet clean read full of passion. There is no doubt these two have a powerful chemistry pull that has been there for years. The author grabs your heartstring from the start and holds them throughout the read. The ending has your heart in your mouth and you saying NO NO NO this can’t be. Than the author throws a little twist to bring it all home to give you a wonderful heartwarming romance.

When your best friend has twins dumped on his doorstep the only thing left to do is call your little sister for help. When that sister had her heart crushed by the best friend years ago she doesn’t want to have anything to do with it. The pull of the twins and her brother makes her take on the job of helping out with the twins. Not much has changed from years ago she still has a crush on her brothers best friend. One thing leads to another and life just got complicated. Which made this one of the best reads that is hard to put down. I loved it.

A great story of reconnecting. What would you do if your high school crush needed your help? Could you step up? I don't think I could. But The chemistry is great, the story is touching. Jake and Olivia have such a fascinating history. They shared a kiss, once upon a time. She thought he was repulsed by her, so she fled, left the state and began a life on the other side of the country. She returns home for a mental vacation, just to be summoned by her brother for help. If she doesn't help her brother's best friend, her mom would leave her life to come care for Jake and his twins. The two spend some time bumping heads. It takes some time for Jake to come around, but he's a good guy. This was, I think, my favorite story in the set.
I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't wait to read this book and I was not disappointed. Another great book by Samantha Chase. I am always drawn into her books by how well she writes her characters. You get to really know them and become invested in their lives. I find myself rooting them on. She has a knack for making you fall in love with her leading men who may not be a hero to start but always win you over. This is great story of how something unexpected turns out to be exactly what you needed. Don't want to put out any spoilers...so let me just say this.... it's a feel good story and a must read! One click and enjoy!!!

I can honestly say this was a down right good book. It grabbed a hold of my heart strings and never let go. It even had me crying but those tears were well worth it.

I have never read anything by Samantha Chase before, nor had I even heard of her as an author until someone recommended the book on facebook. I thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. Needless to say I bought another one of her books and I will probably be buying even more than that too.

I think you will truly be happy with this book.

When Olivia comes home for her month long sabbatical from work, she never thought she would end up helping Jake, the object of her school girl crush, its his week old twins that were left n his doorstep. But being the nanny also means late night feedings and close contact with Jake. When sparks fly will the relationship turn into one big family or will Jake push her away like he did when they were younger? This was an emotional read, filled with great characters and a beautiful story of finding not only love but family as well. Another awesome read.

Baby, Be Mine is comically led by the interfering brother. What a great brother and friend to match his sister and his best friend. I must add that he had nothing to do with the twins sudden appearance but he did make the most of the opportunity. Olivia was never going to speak to Jake again after the debacle that soured her 18th birthday. Even she can't turn away from the adorable twins and their father's obvious need.

Thank you #Netgalley for the ARC.

With Baby, Be Mine, Jake Knight comes home to find infant twins on his porch. He has no idea how to care for these twins. Jake comes the one woman that he broke her heart to help him. Will they work through their problems from the past? This book once again had me hooked from the first page.
