A short and sweet little romp in the Marvel Rivals universe.
I'll admit, I've never played Marvel Rivals, and I've also never really dove into the Webtoon style format for comics...but even still this was a great introduction to both!
The constant scroll was more intuitive than I first thought, and it allowed for some really dynamic visual storytelling. Sure, the main conflict was paper thin, and the main reason for this was to see a bunch of our favourite Marvel characters kick each others butt. Does it make sense? Not really? Do I care? Also, not really.
This might skew a bit on the young side, but still, I had a great time with it and will continue this series, since it looks like it's an on going thing. Plus, my girl Squirrel Girl made an appearance so that alone is enough to make me keep reading :D
This was fun little issue. It was a fairly interesting conflict and the writers were smart pitting the two spiders against each other. Jeff and Namor’s subplot was fun and I liked how all the characters were, well, characterized. Galacta got on my nerve a little, but there’s definitely been worse characters. I definitely had fun while reading this. 3.75/5
It wasn't until I went to write this review that I saw this was a collection of the webtoon. That explains a lot, especially the choppy storytelling. This wasn't *bad* per se but it sure wasn't good either. I'll be passing on the rest of this.
