Jonathan Hickman is an American comic book writer and artist. He is known for creating the Image Comics series The Nightly News, The Manhattan Projects and East of West, as well as working on Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four, FF, and S.H.I.E.L.D. titles. In 2012, Hickman ended his run on the Fantastic Four titles to write The Avengers and The New Avengers, as part the "Marvel NOW!" relaunch. In 2013, Hickman wrote a six-part miniseries, Infinity, plus Avengers tie-ins for Marvel Comics. In 2015, he wrote the crossover event Secret Wars. - Wikipedia

Damn good issue. We find out who mysterio is...and it's way different than I expected. More so the mytho building with him/them is amazing. Overall a great issue to build up the background/world building. Shit's about to get messy.

Tras ese gran cliffhanger, este número se centra por completo en revelar el cómo Gwen Stacey puede ser Mysterio en este Universo... Y la verdad es que es uno de los descubrimientos más estimulantes por parte de Jonathan Hickman. Dando una nueva entidad a este archienemigo clásico del trepamuros en esta descomunal y ominosa narrativa de una realidad deformada en favor de los designios del Hacedor. Por supuesto, el gancho emocional está en poder asistir a la relación entre Gwen y Harry que les lleva a ese matrimonio y empresa en común en torno al Duende Verde que no parece que haya quedado enterrado en la Tierra Salvaje de Kraven.

Ojalá nunca te tuvieses que ausentar de la colección, Checchetto.

In this issue, Hickman reveals somewhat thr mystery of Mysterio and who is under the bowl-helmet in a masterful and page turning way with excellent pencil work from Checchetto. With now 8 more issues to go of this just announced two year run the secrets are being discovered and the drama ramped up. The back third of this incredible run should be spectacular. It is the mark of a great book when the main character isn’t much in the issue at all and yet it still comes off as a great read with twists and turns I didn’t see coming.

Hate that I’m caught up on the series now because i want to keep taking it all in.

Through every deception, Mysterio just using a revolver was kinda hilarious. This issue felt like the end reveals to an Agatha Christie novel. Love the reveal of Mysterio and knew I shouldn’t’ve trusted Gobbie’s fate.

Did Gwen Stacy just become the most important person in the new Ultimate line? And Mysterio as the the person driven to uncover the truth of the lies of reality...inspired. The most interesting Mysterio ever has been and will be.

Gwen being Mysterio is such a cool twist and wow is she cool. Didn’t expect so much lore in this issue and how Gwen’s character compared to the main timeline to be so vastly different. It’s crazy seeing so many of Spider-Man’s iconic villains becoming his ally like wow!
