As excited as I was for this book, I feel like it just didn't completely deliver. To me it was just a bridge book, bringing together the first book and the third (which is not yet released). The story continues exactly where it left off in book one, but gets cut off at the end. There is a fine line between a cliffhanger and cutting a story off right in the middle, and I think that this was not the time to end the story. The book almost did a complete 360 as it started out with people being kidnapped and ended the exact same way, so in the end I didn't feel like too much progress was made.
I still like the writing style of T. L. Coulter and I love the storyline and the characters - I just think the book should have been longer.
Unlike book one, this one takes place more in the wizard realm. It gave me more of an idea about the setting these characters are in. We are introduced to new characters that I found easy to love (and hate). I also loved how it took a vision that Kailee had in book one, and made it come true in this book - I completely forgot about that!
I would say that since this is an easy read that has a pretty simple storyline, this would be an ideal read for an audience of middle schoolers or young teens.
Overall I think this book could have used a bit more work but it is successful in making me want to read the next one.
I was super excited to get my hands onto this, after reading the first book in the series ('The Key') and being left with such a tense cliffhanger it quickly became one of my favourite reads. T. L. Coulter writing style is just as great, again I loved that it wasn't just in one point of view or even two point of views. We get apart of everyone's point of views, making it so much more interesting! So, apart from the characters we have the realms. The worlds created and how it's described are spot on, reading about them just makes you want to jump in and explore them to.
Now, I don't want to go to much into the storyline of 'The Oracle' because for anyone who hasn't read 'The Key', you need to. Saying that, this book is truly a fantastic read. There was so many adorable love connections being made and mended and also the big group of characters that we mainly follow come across just like they are a group of teenagers in a regular high school, just with amazing powers and the fact they don't live in the mortal world. T. L. Coulter keeps you hooked from start to end. Once you start reading this series, you don't want to stop.
'The Oracle' has everything in it. Love, action, comedy (Gabe!), sadness, betrayal, everything! I highly recommend this series to everyone. I, for one cannot wait for the third and final book in the series 'The Warrior'!
Another crazy ending leaving you with one surprise after the next. So much happens in this book and all the different love connections are addicting! I cannot wait to find out what happens next!! The author knows how to keep you wanting more with these endings!! Very entertaining and I could not set the book down until I was finished. I loved the new characters introduced, they all have such great chemistry together it's easy to feel like you could be a part of their group. You get to travel to a new realm and get a close look at the vampires and werewolves. Astrid and Gabe are still my favorite characters and I hope everything works out for them after all the twists in this book. Looking forward to the next book in The Arcadian Series!
I definitely enjoyed this book. It pretty much has everything in it. I love how the world in this series is created, the idea of realms sounds good to me. Also, in this book, I got to get some of the answers to my previous questions from The Key..but I think I got more questions too from reading The Oracle.
There is just also a major cliffie at the end.. and I just cannot with everything. My wait for the last book in the series will be long. I hope nothing that bad happens to my fave characters.
Excellent book! I couldn't wait for this book to come out. The first in this series was awesome but this book took it to a new level. I loved the new characters that were introduced. The ending was great. Hopefully the next one will come out soon.
This book answers some of the questions I had from the first book. I love how the plot thickens and more characters are introduced. This book was hard to put down! I can't wait to read the next one. This one leaves you hanging at the end. Definitely a must read. Great book!
WHAT A CLIFF-HANGER! That ending left me so speechless it's not even funny. T. L. Coulter has succeeded once again in delivering a great story with an amazing ending.
The story continues with Rek, Astrid and Gabe in search of Kailee and Audric after finding out they are very much alive. Along the way, a few other new characters are introduced and have joined in on this journey. What they didn't anticipate was the turn of events with the prophecy and how it changes everything, even if not recognized by wizard law. In order to complete this prophecy, sacrifices need to be made: a key, an oracle and a warrior. We already know who the key is and the oracle is introduced in this book, but the warrior? Everyone knows who is the warrior and that is why things will escalate and blow a gasket on the third book.
I love the new characters because each of them play a big role throughout the story and it wouldn't have been the same without them. I love Gabe and Astrid. From this series, I believe they have become my true favorite pair. How can it not? Gabe is the most hilarious character of all of them.
Can I now talk about that cliff-hanger? Awesome! So the cliff-hanger happens on the last two pages, the last two paragraphs.....yes, very heartbreaking and I cannot wait until I get The Warrior. I guess I suspected something but then I completely forgot about it and when I would remember, I would deem myself crazy and once again, forget about it. Still, it came as such a huge shock when reading it that I couldn't deal. I was literally screaming "what?!" for a few minutes.
Great story and great continuation of this series. THE WARRIOR was published yesterday on Amazon Kindle and will soon be available in hardbacks :) Don't forget to buy the book! You will love it!
