When the company Analise Summers works for announces it’s being acquired, the last thing she expects is for Warren Mitchell to come walking through the conference room door.

Not only did Warren break her heart six and a half years ago, but his plans for the merger will undo the revolutionary work she’s spent years developing as the Chief Actuary of Transcend Consulting. But since he’s the CFO she’s been tasked to show around and collaborate with, she’s stuck working with him to find a way to keep her company intact.

But working together again means dredging up the past—their past—and all the unanswered questions Analise was left with after Warren unexpectedly broke things off and moved away. Now, Warren is willing to do whatever it takes to earn her forgiveness and finally explain what happened back then. But Analise is afraid of getting hurt again, so she vows to “keep things professional.”

A vow that gets harder to keep with each day that passes.

As the pair falls back into old habits, more than just their hearts are at stake. Not only are they battling against looming business concerns and the pull between them that never went away, but family issues and long-kept secrets surface with the potential to change everything. With only a two-week time frame before Warren leaves again, are they bound to make the same mistakes, or can the key to their future be found in the past?

Thank you Literary Lane for providing me a digital arc of this book

2.5 🌟
I loved the concept of a second-chance romance set in a workplace environment. It was a first for me, so I was really excited to read it
This book is divided into two temporal lines: the past and the present. I have to say that I loved reading about their past and the way the two main characters met, and how they developed their relationship at that time. However, I felt that, in the present, not only was their chemistry lacking, but also everything happened too quickly - they were too quick to get back together and "solve" their problems.

This was a cute read that started with a sense of hurt and longing. The FMC Analise was stuck in the past, stuck on a moment of heartbreak, centred around Warren. She'd moved on with her job, her friend group but her love life had stayed static. Warren unexpectedly reappeared in her life in a work context again.

This was a dual POV, second chance romance with past and present timelines. I preferred the contemporary to the past timeline but this format delivered on a gradual reveal on what went wrong and how they circled back to their connection. There was a sweetness to these two and this was a low angst tale with a solid plot.

Thank you to Literary Lane for the eARC.

I may be biased because of my real-life work place romance 🤭 I loooved this!

I flew through it. I loved the banter, the corporate setting, Analise being a badass work girlie, and the perfect amount of spice.

Dual timelines aren’t usually my fav, but I really enjoyed how it was set up! I feel like everything flowed well together.

My favorite quote: “You have a reputation for being the best, and quite frankly I think even that undersells what you can do. But I’m starting to think the rumors that you’re hard to work with come from narrow minded men who couldn’t accept the fact that a woman, let alone a subordinate, was smarter than them.” 👏

Thank you to Literary Lane for the e-ARC. To preface, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and the tropes really drew me into the story. Unfortunately, I have had to DNF at 51%. From what I’ve so far read, I’ve found it a bit difficult to connect with the fmc; perhaps it’s just me, but she seems quite defined by her relationship, and I struggled to see much of her beyond that. I got that sense from Analise early on, and as the story progressed, it didn’t really shift.

It’s been six years since Warren, the man she loved and hoped to marry, ended things, yet she still seems caught in the same emotional space. There’s a real lack of communication between them, which through the flashbacks and now they’ve reconnected, you get to see. I would have loved to see Analise hold her own more, shown more resilience and emotional growth, especially given how hurt she was by how things ended. It felt like a missed opportunity for her to step into her own strength.

Spice: Open Door, 🌶️ 🌶️

➕I’m always excited to read stories where the FMC is a woman in STEM because I’m a woman in STEM😉

I really enjoyed this story so much. It delved into deeper topics such as parental loss and workplace sexism. It gave such an excellent portrayal of a smart, strong woman in STEM and the implications that has in the workplace. It’s clear the author had mastery of the content because it is reflected in how Analise, the FMC, is passionate about her work. In the past I’ve read women in STEM characters and just felt it was more of a caricature or stereotype. I felt this author portrayed these characters as authentic people in STEM without making them super nerdy or simple.

The dual timeline was done very well. It made me understand why both characters struggled both in the past and present. I do think that Warren, the MMC, I needed him to grovel more but honestly, these two were just so in love that I get it. Professionally, Warren was so supportive and such a champion of Analise. I ate it up!

Then the friend group, I felt like they were real people that I worked with and hung out with. They were imperfect in the best way.

The conversation around grief and how it affects people or even divorce was heart felt as well as alcoholism. I resonated with so much about what was written.

Honestly there were so many parts of this book that I loved and enjoyed. It is definitely one of my top reads of 2025.

Thank you @brookenoelauthor and @literarylanemarketing for this eARC.

☕️Blurb: Analise is haunted by the man that broke her heart six years ago. On the professional side, the company she works for is being acquired and she is gearing up to meet the new team she will work with for the transition. What she doesn’t expect is to see the man who broke her heart walk in. It just so happens she is paired with him as well. But everything’s fine, she can deal with this, right?

5⭐️/ 3🌶️ I literally read 90% of this book in less than 12 hours. I could not put it down. I typically don’t love books with dual timelines where you go back & forth between a past timeline’s story for the characters, and then the current… It gets confusing and usually ends up taking some of the enjoyment out of it for me— giving me whiplash with my emotions. BUT! I really think this author did that style of storytelling really really well in this book. I also loved that there was no 3rd act breakup (hallelujah!) …AND I felt like the main characters, Warren & Analise, got together earlier in the book than is typically done…so you actually had time to see their relationship grow & progress, while also getting lots of yummy romantic, sweet, and spicy moments with them too. One of my biggest pet peeves in so many romances is that 80% of the book is the slow burn buildup & tension, then 15% drama, and maybe 5% of the main characters actually being a couple & happy & in love…And then BAM the book is over. But in this book, I felt it was a lot heavier on the parts of them as a couple. So basically, it was more balanced with the buildup & drama vs happy-couple time.
I just loved it! These two are the pinnacle of an insta-love, soulmate, dream team, #couplegoals duo! They are madly in love and just the sweetest couple ever! But also are very sarcastic and playful with each other too. It was so much fun reading their love story! There was so much feet-kicking, swooning over Warren’s confessions of love, cheeks-burning with the hot & spicy scenes, emotions soaring over the amazing found-family vibes & support that was received within their friend group, fist-pumping for Analise in her fierce boss-babe moments… just all so so good.
Highly recommend! I can’t believe this is only this author’s 2nd book! I’m dying to read her first book now, and am definitely first in line for her future books as well!

Thank you Literary Lane for selecting me for this ARC review. This is an unbiased review on my thoughts reading.

I have rated the book 4 ⭐️'s I did like how easy going and light hearted the book was overall. I loved the overall tension and build of Warren and Analise's relationship and the dual time hop of past and present showing their relationship development from these time points. I loved that Analise was a woman in STEM and that Warren no matter where their relationship was at. He fully supported her being a strong stand up woman!! Although I was glad that Warren was equally obsessed with Analise and she was him. I do wish there was more heavy grovel and I was so mad at him for leaving that I felt there was a lot of making up to do.

I also loved that Warren although he made that decision to leave actually worked on himself over that time in therapy it was really refreshing to see a man openly talk about needing and getting the help needed.
Also loved that little Peter and Mac drop sooo wanna see more of them and the couples friendship!

Although the spice build up was hot 🥵 I think I was a bit hopeful for some more but that's just me being greedy 😂.

Throughly enjoyed and loved the couples banter and the strong boss vibes this book was giving!

second chance romances are usually a hit or miss for me but this one knocked it out of the park. I am talking home run, slam dunk, give this author a promotion! I honestly did not know where this story was gonna go but I’m happy I went on this journey. This was just such a heartfelt read that explored many sensitive and necessary topics! The FMC is a complete corporate baddie and the MMC sure had his work cut out for him groveling! It explored layers of grief and growth! Don’t even get me started on the tulips 🥹🥹

You are my sun, and you are my summer! Love it so much 🤍

Such a talented author and can’t wait to see more!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I went into this book excited, thinking that it’d be a book I’d really enjoy. Instead not even 4% in I was thinking about DNF’ing it. I am very adamant to give books a fair chance, and was hoping things would get better, so I promised myself I’d at least get 20-30% through before I’d allow myself to DNF it. Well, the more I read the more I wanted to DNF, and I finally allowed myself to around 46%.

The reasons why I DNF’d:

To start off something about the writing felt weird and forced to me. I am not sure what it was, but the way it was written was just not for me. It was very well edited from what I read, so that was not the problem. Also, while it was well edited something about certain sentence structures were a little weird. Some of the sentences were too wordy, or could have been worded in a way where flowed better.

Pretty much the first few pages of the book in my opinion was information overload. I understand that you have to provide background, but it felt like that’s all the first few pages were. The plot would start, then practically stop all together for a multiple page info dump. I feel like some of the info could have been spread out a little better, to make it not so much at once.

The biggest reasons for why I DNF’d:

To me the FMC Analise, was obnoxious to no end. She was insanely hung up on a man (Warren) who left her 6 years ago, and would cry at just the mention of the word summer… (again 6 years after he left her) which just so happens to be her last name. She bought herself two tulips regularly because that’s what Warren gave her, she’d make blondie cookies because they were his favorite, she couldn’t look at the leaderboard for trivia night because their team was somehow in 6 years still the #1 spot on the board, and other just extremely over the top things.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, come to find out one of her friends was practically stalking the guy on her behalf. Which was just extremely weird because her friends seemed to want her to move on. Even going so far as to having an entire conversation about setting her up on a blind date. So I’m not sure why the friend was feeding into the obsession with Warren 6 years after he left Analise.

After Warren explains his, in my opinion horrible, reason for leaving her, not asking her to move with him, telling her not to visit and ending things with her, and bringing up the fact before he got the job offer he was going to propose to Analise. She runs out of the hotel bar crying and devastated and within a few pages is practically ripping his clothes off outside of the hotel immediately after crying about how he was going to propose and ended things with her instead. The very next day everything is perfectly fine and she was able to process it and get over it in less than 24 hours, even though she acted like her world was ending the night before.

I’m not sure what it was about this book, but it just was too cringy for me to even want to keep reading. I was so looking forward to it, and it takes a LOT for me to DNF a book… but this one was just not for me.

Thank you to Literary Lane for selecting me to receive a copy of The Probability of Us by Brooke Noel to review. I promise that this review is unbiased and reflects our own opinions of the book.

I rated this book 4 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and the light hearted style. It was easy to read and keep up with but also allowed for some twists and turns to take place to keep me guessing. The spice was light compared to my normal reads (god forbid a girl has a hobby!) but still hits nonetheless 😍.

The story follows a young woman - Analise who works at a company that is being taken over by another - whilst supporting to acquisition, she finds out she has to work with her ex - Warren. As the story develops, we find out more about how Analise and Warren met and their previous relationship through flashbacks to 6 years ago when they were madly in love. Over time, we begin to learn why Warren split from Analise upon this move to another city for work and why he didn’t ask her to live with him. He never gave Analise a reason as to their split. You get to find out more from both sides of the story and reasonings behind the story as it develops and pieces together.

I enjoyed the dual timeline point of view from the main female character Analise. As the plot thickens on the present day relationship rebuilding, you find out more as to what life was life pre-breakup.

At the beginning, I found myself not liking Warren for dumping Analise all those years ago when they broke up and that she never got over him. But as the plot progresses, it becomes clear he’s equally as infatuated with her as she is with him.

This is the first workplace romance book I’ve personally read and really enjoyed this trope as well as Analise being a fellow woman in STEM…you can’t help but love this book! I loved the banter between these two from both timelines and had me giggling and kicking my feet 🙊.

Content warnings to be advised upon before reading are loss of a parent (in the past tense - off page), alcoholic parental discussions, attempted sexual assault, frequent language and open door romance with explicit descriptions.

Available on Kindle Unlimited 28th April 2025. This one you don’t want to miss!

wow wow wow wow-WOW. (quotes below)

this fucking book man. i’m biased but i LOVE a second chance trope and then add in them being soul mates?!
“novaleigh they are human how do you know they are soulmat-
SHUTUP I CAN FEEL IT CAUSE THE AUTHOR WROTE THEM THAT WAY!!!!

warren and analise meet 8 years ago when analise becomes warrens cubicle neighbor at work, the two of them INSTANTLY click together and the rest is them falling in love.
UGH I DONT WANT TO SPOIL THE PLOT, HOW DO SOME OF YOU WRITE SUCH GOOD REVIEWS?!
basically warren has to get a new job and turns out the one he gets is out of state, he ends things with analise.
analise was not expecting six years later that the company that would buy her company would have warren involved and his thrusted back into her life.

THEY ARE SOUL MATES!!!!! can’t tell me otherwise.

tropes:
work place romance x 2 (past and present)
friends to lovers to strangers to lovers
second chance
soul mates
(maybe ?) touch and her die (he doesn’t kill anyone but only gets mad when people hurt her)

"You know, I never believed them when they told me what you and Warren were like," he says. "I always hated him solely because of how he hurt you."
"What do you mean?"
"They'd always talk about you and Warren like it was some mythic, legendary, untouchable thing, and I'd laugh because it sounded so absurd. It had to be an exagger-ation, but seeing you two together today, I got it." He shakes his head like he's still grappling with this change in his opinion of War-ren. "What you two have is what everyone envisions for themselves back in their fairytale age, back when we believe anything is possible and that soulmates and a one true love are what we're looking for."
"Is that not what you and Sterling have?" I ask.
"I love Sterling, and I will love him for the rest of my life, but we will never have what you guys have. That connection, that pull you have is the stuff of fairytales.

Thank you to The Literary Lane for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Probability of Us has that perfect mix of emotional tension, flirty banter, and a bit of workplace drama with a side of “oh no, not him again” energy.

The story follows Analise, who’s working at a company going through an acquisition. Totally normal, until she finds out she has to team up with her ex, Warren. Yep, the same Warren who broke her heart six years ago and never told her why. As the story flips between their present-day interactions and flashbacks to their relationship years ago, you slowly get the full picture of what went down—and why things fell apart.

At first, I was not a Warren fan. I mean, who breaks up with someone and doesn’t even explain why?! But as the story goes on and you get more of his side, it’s hard not to soften up toward him. The chemistry between them is still very much alive, and the more you learn, the more you want them to just figure it out already.

One of my favorite things was the dual timeline—it gives you that emotional depth while also keeping the pace moving. Plus, Analise is a smart, capable female lead who still feels relatable.

There’s something about exes navigating awkward meetings and unresolved feelings that really works. Also, the banter? Top-tier. Had me grinning and kicking my feet a few times, not gonna lie.

Quick heads-up though—there are some heavier themes in this one, so please check your trigger warnings. Just something to keep in mind before diving in.

Overall, if you're into second chances, messy-but-real love stories, and characters who grow on you, definitely give this one a shot. It’s emotional, fun, and just the right amount of angsty.

4.5 Stars!!!

This is my first Brooke Noel book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! 💙🩵 I love a good office romance to get me over a reading slump.

The office romance element was such a strong part of the story. Watching Analise navigate her career while dealing with a complex relationship dynamic in the workplace added layers to her character and made the emotional moments hit even harder. There is something so compelling about seeing a woman in STEM being respected and supported professionally, especially when that support comes from someone who clearly admires her strength and brilliance. 📊

The second chance romance was also beautifully done. Warren, might have needed to grovel a little more for my taste, but the chemistry and history between him and Analise was undeniable. Their connection felt intense, raw, and deeply emotional. You could feel the weight of their past and how much was at stake if they tried again. His support for her, especially in her professional journey, was one of my favorite parts. It was subtle, steady, and really touching. 💖

The dual timeline was beautifully handled. It gave depth to both characters and made me feel fully invested in who they were and who they were trying to become. The friend group added a lot of warmth and heart to the story. They felt like real people, messy, funny, loyal, and honest. The way topics like grief, divorce, and addiction were explored felt thoughtful and authentic.

There were so many moments in this book that hit me emotionally and stayed with me after I finished. The Probability of Us was more than just a romance. It was a story about healing, growth, and finding the courage to try again, both in love and in life.

The Probability of Us is a light and engaging second-chance workplace romance centered around Analise Summers and Warren Mitchell—former lovers who unexpectedly find themselves working together again after a company merger. The story opens with Annalise out with friends, emotionally vulnerable, and reminiscing about her past relationship with Warren, the man who, despite the years, still holds her heart. Warren, likewise, is still deeply in love with Analise, making their reunion at work both inevitable and emotionally charged. As the narrative unfolds, the chemistry is palpable, and their deep history adds a layer of longing and tenderness to their interactions. The workplace setting is a key part of the story, with the author weaving in realistic details about office dynamics, professional rules, and the challenges of rekindling a romance under the watchful eye of corporate policy.

I would have loved to see a little more conflict between the main characters before reconnecting. I felt that Annalise and Warren’s reunion happened very quickly and lacked the emotional buildup, which made their getting back together feel a bit rushed and unearned. I would have loved more back-and-forth and development in the rekindling of their relationship. Overall, I loved Analise's emotional vulnerability, Analise & Warren together, the friend group, & the realistic handling of workplace complications.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

a second chance, work place romance?? what more could a gal ask for??

To start, I really liked the aspects of the story and loved how the chemistry between Analise and Warren was still present after all the time that's passed. From their banter to Analise's confidence in her work to Warren acknowledging how smart & driven his girl, like c'mon?? I think their actual relationship is beautiful, and I loved reading how much they loved one another. It was also touching to see how many people that surrounded them knew they were end game.

I think a part of me just wished Analise made Warren grovel a bit more. As someone who is so confident in her work and went through so many obstacles that came her way in life, I felt like she took that man back so quickly. Don't get me wrong, I think in some aspects both are to blame for what happened that caused their drift, but I think I would've enjoyed the story a bit more had she made him work for it. I understand at the end of the day she really loved Warren and knew he was the one, but I wish she just pulled through a bit more in the beginning and gave him that hard time.

Nonetheless, I did enjoy this book and overall, I think the relationship they had was cute to read. To The Summers!! I hope they get to finally enjoy their time together.

Thank you to the author and Literary Lane for the eARC! I love expressing my own opinion, and if you happen to read this book, I hope to hear your thoughts as well!

The Probability of Us is a second chance, workplace romance and is story of Analise and Warren.

This book absolutely grabbed me from the beginning and had me hooked. Analise's reluctance to move on from her love for Warren and then the twist that she was now partnered with Warren in the buyout of the company she has been working at. The dual timelines gave you the insight needed to understand the relationship they shared in the past and why everything happened like it did. The dual timeline were well written and the depth of the characters to explain their reasoning and past traumas that influenced the decisions they made.

I really enjoyed how Warren took responsibility for his decision to leave 6 years ago and explain to Analise and not try to downplay her feelings and the hurt he caused. The rebuilding of their relationship was beautiful and how they learned communication was important to not make the same mistakes of the past.

There are some topics that may be sensitive for some readers such as off page death of a parent, on page alcoholism of a parent and attempted workplace assault. There is spice to the story and some spicy language as well but it is done in context. I highly recommend this book, I loved the open communication, how the workplace dynamic was handled and the way Warren completely supported Analise in everything she did and was.

my ARC review

I really enjoyed the slow burn and tension between Warren and Analise. The way their relationship unfolded through the dual timelines made their connection feel even deeper. Seeing their bond evolve from past to present added so much emotional weight, and I loved every second of it.

Analise being a woman in STEM was absolute queen behavior. And no matter where they stood romantically, Warren always supported her strength and independence, which made me love him even more. Their mutual obsession was clear, but I won’t lie, I was still mad at Warren for leaving. I definitely craved a bit more groveling because that man had some serious making up to do.

That said, I really appreciated that Warren took time to work on himself. Seeing him go to therapy and actually grow as a person was such a refreshing and important touch. It made his journey feel real.

Also, the little cameo from Peter and Mac? Obsessed. I need more of them and the whole friendship dynamic with the couples added so much heart.

And while the spice buildup was definitely hot, I wouldn’t have complained if there was a little more… but that’s just my greedy self talking. The banter, the strong characters, the emotional depth, this book had it all. I loved every minute of it.

Check Trigger warning: some off camera and on camera.

I received this book as an Arc but all onions are my own.

Second chance, office romance, forced proximity.

Warren and Analise

This was such a cute second chance romance. Warren and Analise were definitely soulmates and they made it back to each other. The characters had growth especially Warren. His actions showed that he really took the time to think and what happened 6 years ago and where his mistakes were.

I love a good wish place romance. I enjoyed the banter and the chemistry the characters had. The storing characters added to the story without over shadowing the main characters. I love that they played up on goes much of a badass Analise was and goes everyone looked up to her.

I enjoyed the past and present timeline it gave insight and allowed us to understand the characters better. This may be unpopular opinion but i understand why Warren did what he did 6 years ago. Could he have gone about it a different way? Absolutely! But it added to the plot.

There is some spice to the book but not a whole lot. Was really hoping for more.

And that last lil tid bit Peter! We need the story behind that!

Definitely go check this book out.

I really enjoyed The Probability of Us! This was my first time reading a workplace second-chance romance, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I ended up really liking it. The story follows Analise Summers, a driven Chief Actuary who suddenly finds herself working alongside Warren Mitchell—the man who broke her heart years ago. Having to navigate old feelings while trying to keep things professional made for such a fun and emotional read.

I loved the banter between them and how their history slowly came back into play as they spent more time together. Their chemistry was so natural, and I appreciated how both of them had grown since their breakup, even if it wasn’t always easy to see eye to eye.

The writing was really easy to get into, and I found myself highlighting a few quotes that felt super relatable. I also liked how the story shifted between the present and their past—it helped me understand what went wrong before and made it feel more meaningful to see how they’d both changed and grown.

Overall, The Probability of Us is a heartwarming, emotional read with just the right mix of tension and sweetness, and I loved seeing these two characters find their way back to each other.

[ARC review]

As someone who’s about to become a woman in STEM, I loved this book—it felt so personal and powerful. Brooke Noel did a phenomenal job creating a lead character who is not only intelligent and driven but also deeply human. Analise, the FMC, is portrayed as a passionate and capable woman navigating grief, professional challenges, and love in a way that felt real and relatable.

The dual timeline was beautifully executed, giving depth to both the past and present struggles of the main characters. Warren, the MMC, definitely could’ve grovelled a bit more for my taste imo, but their connection was so intense and heartfelt that I understood why things unfolded the way they did. His support for Analise, especially in her professional life, was genuinely moving.

The friend group felt like real people—flawed, funny, and full of heart—and the discussions around grief, divorce, and alcoholism were handled with care and authenticity. There were so many emotional and insightful moments throughout the story that stayed with me.

Thank you to Brooke Noel and Literary Lane Marketing for the eARC. The Probability of Us was such a meaningful and enjoyable read. Definitely a standout in my 2025 list!

Thank you Literary Lane and Brooke Noel for this ARC and the chance to leave a positive review.

Because, for me, this book was nothing short of wonderful and magical and more than that! I've already expressed in my review of this authors debut novel how much I was able to connect with it on so many levels and this was the same. There are so many ongoing challenges one experiences in their professional life and sometimes, that is brought into our personal lives. With this book and the characters, the main characters work in a STEM field that connects with my professional field as a therapist and it was amazing to see what goes on in the background. I loved the MCs banter, their smiles, their personalities. I loved the way the book was written, where you see them falling in love in the past and their journey in the present. I liked how synchronous it was. Analise and Warren were amazing characters and I loved their story and their personal journeys towards each other. I loved the ending and the potential for more, though I wish it had ended with something else to add to their HEA. It was a wonderful story and will, for sure, buy it when it comes out!

A big thanks to literary lane & author brooke noel for trusting me with this ARC — what a ride! I didn’t just read this book—I felt it. Somewhere between the first page and the last, I forgot this was fiction and started rooting for Analise and Warren like they were my real-life OTP. The way Brooke writes…it’s like she peeked inside my brain and gave life to every “what if we meet again” scenario I’ve ever dreamed of. There’s tension, there’s heart, there’s a slow unraveling that made me hold my breath more than once. Analise is that rare kind of character who’s brilliant and vulnerable, tough and tender and Warren is the kind of man you swear you’d never forgive... until he speaks, and suddenly you’re like “okay maybe just one more chance.” Every glance. Every almost-confession. Every soft moment hidden beneath sarcasm. It’s not just a romance—it’s a whole emotional rollercoaster dressed up as a love story.

I loved this book! 🩵

The FMC was an absolute delight, and it was such a joy to have the narrative led by such a strong and inspiring woman like Ana. Brooke did a fantastic job showcasing Ana’s brilliance while also highlighting the very real challenges she faces as a woman in a male-dominated STEM field.

This is how you do second chance romance! Take notes 👏🏻 I can’t believe how much this book managed to cover in less than 300 pages. The beauty of dual timelines 😍 and Warren? I just adored him. He was so supportive of Ana, not only in her personal life, but as her biggest cheerleader in the workplace too. Honestly, more male leads like this, please.

I think I’m becoming a fan of workplace romance this year because I ate this up! 😍

This was such a cute read. I absolutely loved it.

Second chance, office romance, and banter? Perfection. There is a slight spice added, but nothing over the top. It was just enough to keep this story on a plot and make it even cuter.

The romance and the conversations between both characters are just *chefs kiss*. The MMC talks so highly of the FMC and it's just adorable.

You're definitely going to hate him and then love him. I sat here and was like, this guy is the worst and deserves slaps 🤣

I usually don't like when a story goes back and forth between present and past, but this was done SO well.

It didn't stop me from continuing to read. The past and present were done in the right order and helped fill in gaps to keep up with the growth of the characters and how they are.

These two are adorable and perfect like the sun during summer (IYKYK)

100% chance you’ll kick your feet

Analise and Warren were that once in a lifetime love everyone wanted to believe in… once upon a time. Now, Ana is bracing for a company acquisition and shocked to find that her contact, Mitch, is actually Warren Mitchell. Oops.

The first couple of chapters were a little dry for a girly like me who has no interest in finance, business, all those things. Ana was all in on the business side, and I almost quit reading, but I’m SO happy I didn’t! It picked up in chapter three, and stayed up. In this dual timeline the story of Ana and Warren is told completely, and you feel such a connection with both characters and their relationship. I didn’t expect to be so invested, but was dragged in to their cheesy (in the best way…) little legendary romance so completely, I’m not sure how I’ll recover.

3.5 stars

This is a dual POV second chance workplace romance, a little bit of a sunshine/sunshine, with a lot of emotion. Analise and Warren have this instant love, intense relationship, but then breakup and are reunited after 6.5 years. Ultimately, it was a good time, but I definitely preferred the timeline of them in the past. I feel like their reunion was a little unearned- I could’ve done with some more pining/groveling/working to get things back. The characters also have a tendency to monologue their feelings often which isn’t my favorite. They had a lot of good tension and buildup and ultimately faced very realistic issues in their relationship. This one is definitely big on the emotions and tugging on the heartstrings

🖤 Women in Stem
🖤 Second Chance Romance
🖤 Workplace Romance
🖤 He Falls First
🖤 Found Family
🖤 Forced Proximity

This story was a heartfelt emotional read on second chance romance. You felt the raw emotions for the FMC, Analise and MMC, Warren. Their love story from the beginning was a fairytale but ended abruptly with no closure and lots of what ifs. Analise and Warren are definitely soul mates and they made it back to each other. Throughout the story we saw both of the characters growth and willingness to work out their issues. I loved their flirty banter and the empowerment Analise had in her workplace. Warren’s love and devotion for Analise was swoon-worthy.

Thank you to the Author Brooke Noel & Literary Lane for the ARC of this book.

"You really want to set her up with someone when she still cries like he left yesterday? It's been, what, six years? I don't know if she's ever going to get over it at this point."

Analise and Warren. I'm going to start off right away and tell you I loved this book. The MCs are lovable, relatable, and make you want to hug them. The side characters are perfectly written, not too much to keep track of, and are the people you want to hang out with on the weekend. What I loved most about this book is that the miscommunication happened off screen - it happened before I even picked up the book and this MMC is coming to right his wrongs. From start to finish I loved the storyline, the characters, the banter, and it's spicy.

Brooke Noel knocked it out of the park with this book and I'm off to read Pick Me Up which released last year.

"These are tears that show you truths about yourself you're not ready to acknowledge."

*I read the ARC of this book and all opinions are my own. I'd like to thank Brooke Noel and Literary Lane for sending me this eARC.

I loved this book so, so much. ♥️♥️

I had never heard of this author before, but I am certainly looking forward to reading more of her work. It is not dual POV, but it is dual timeline going back and forth between their past and the present.

I loved Warren and Analise. You can’t help but root for their happy ending when you can see how much they still love each other so many years later. And their banter/first meeting is so amazing. The way he loved and supported her the first time as well as this go around are utterly swoon worthy.

This book just made me happy and reminded me of why I love love stories. It was wonderfully amazing from start to finish. 💜💜
