Magic? Aliens? There's no freaking way this is real.
Matt’s Monday turns from bad to weird when intergalactic space miners accidentally blow up the Earth. Dropped into a Human Preserve, he gains magic and a mace, a deadly AI, and a new corporate overlord that might be just as dangerous.
When Matt and his unlikely companions—a quirky cat-man, a brilliant engineer, and a perilously optimistic princess—discover a relic that could neutralize the AI’s gravemist threat, they’re thrust into a mission to save what’s left of humanity.
Stumbling through the mysteries of what really happened to Earth, Matt must grapple with who the real monsters are and make a bid to join the rest of the universe.
Earth Aspect is an action-packed LitRPG Adventure that goes light on stats, blending vivid fantasy and sci-fi world-building with tense progression, laugh-out-loud banter, plot twists, memorable companions, and the kind of loot you’ll want to fight for!
Earth Aspect is an interesting story. It begins in a way somewhat remeniscent of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where the earth is destroyed at the start of the book, and it all goes downhill from there for the characters in the story. We do get hints near the end of the book, that it wasn't exactly an accident, but any revelations on that front will have to wait until book 2 is released in October. I found it a mildly interesting book, if a bit contrived at times, along with introduction of characters that weren't first involved in the story, and honestly, I'm still not sure what their purpose is, the story moves at a somewhat reasonable pace, even if it does seem to be pushed in one direction or the other from time to time. I'm hoping there will be less of that in the next book. It's not bad as a light/quick read though.
If Legend of Zelda was crossed with Sword Art Online, you'd get Earth Aspect, but even more awesome! Despite it being a lengthy book, the pacing was spot on and the plot kept me hooked throughout. I loved the four main characters, especially Val's beaver companion, it was so cute. With regards to the world building and array of weird and wonderful creatures and characters, Nick is a genius! The Pomeranians may be evil, but I would still pet them. As a reader and indie author, his work is inspiring and you can see how much planning and effort went into crafting this fantastical book. The pop culture references were a nice touch if you're a nerd like myself. Finally, that cliffhanger at the end...we need the next book quick!
Amazing. I have never read a novel about so many things. The end of the world. A matrix like world with videogame enemies. Main characters with story arcs that inspire heroism. A deep burocratic alien trial for the fate of mankind. This has everything I like.
This story is a thought provoking, action romp of a story wrapped into a heroes quest to save humanity. At one point it is tongue-in -cheek the next nail biting action. Nick has written quite a novel and I can't wait to see where he takes us in the next book of the Continuance series.

This story was a hoot to read. It starts out as the end of a typical day then...boom everyone wakes up and seem to be in a game. And then there is the guy in the ship. Just a crazy time as everyone tries to figure out what is really going on. Intrigue, craziness, a game, hidden agendas, surprises and the unknown happening too. Had me laughing and trying to figure it all out as in the beginning it seems straight forward the takes a turn and things are not quite right. fun times.
…I found this to be a delightful literary romp. I enjoyed the rapid-fire dialogue immensely! Hats (and helmets) off to Nick Scrawls for creating a most excellent adventure!
