Erualis' time is running out and now Rumpelstiltskin says there are only two who can save him...
Lilith Wolf, the daughter of the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood has a problem, she's an unmated female in heat. She has to get away from the males of her village unless she wants to find herself involuntarily hand fasted to the first one to tame her wolf. So when Giles Damien comes to her calling due the pact she'd signed with Rumpelstiltskin years ago, she doesn't really think twice about the fact that she'll be journeying to Fyre Mountain, even though that means she'll be crossing paths with an angry water dragon, a pub full of rowdy Merry Men, and rock dwarves with a taste for flesh... For an alpha female that's an adventure. No problem. Find the Chalice of Hope, come back home, and life will return back to normal again.
But she hadn't counted on an honorable Giles Damien to intrigue not only her female sensibilities, but her wolf too. He's a warrior, but he's sweet, he's patient, and he's altogether different from the aggressive, rough males of her village. Problem is Giles is a demone, and everyone knows they don't mingle outside of their species. But now her sights are set on him and she's going to make it her mission to prove to the stubborn headed demone that sometimes love can come from the most unexpected of circumstances...
Marie Hall is a USA Today Bestselling author and has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm... Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.
Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there'd be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project.
Her Mad Hatter is the first book of her Kingdom Series.

I liked elements of this story, but there were times where it didn't gel as smoothly as I would have liked. Lilith and Giles were a great match and I was glad they worked things out together. Lilith is headstrong and independent and Giles tempers her rough edges. She gives him hope that he can have more in his life. Of course my favorite fairy had to make her appearances as well. Heck her interaction with Giles, while talking to her man in the moon was probably my favorite moment in the story. The ending had a nice emotional impact as Lilith did everything possible to make sure Giles succeed at the quest they were on to save Rumpel's son.
This story was somewhat unremarkable, it wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. I didn't remember much of the previous books, so it was rather confusing throughout. The events at the end weren't well explained either, only adding to my confusion. There wasn't really much to the romance either, and so there wasn't a lot of wooing that went on. However, I was engaged in the story, and invested in their quest, so the book wasn't worthy of a lesser rating than this. I'm really hesitant to continue on with the series after this read.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I have to say I'm in love and the fact I got to read about little wolf and the knights story was even better.
The storyline is addictive and the characters draw you in leave you wanting more if you haven't read this series yet I would suggest you get on to it ASAP. I can't wait to read the other stories n see what happens next.
Thankyou for choosing me and letting me read your book I'm honored an grateful n so glad I have found another awesome author who puts her heart into her books and it shows.
Ooh I am kind of a fan of Giles & Lilith, they are fun! Nice storyline tie-in from previous books. Oh & Robin Hood seems a bit creepy, should be interesting to see how I feel about him in the next book.
Every book in this series amazes me. None of the character's stories thus far seem to repeat. What I mean is, each love match seems to be uniquely flawed and beautiful. I also want to mention that while each princesses story follows more closely what their parents should have been, I'm finding that each princess has a sliver of another fairy tale attached to them too, and I'm loving these little hidden gems. Finally, if you don't want any fun plot twists ruined, I beg that you read the Kingdom Series from book one, Her Mad Hatter, and move forward chronologically. Still, each tale can be read on their own, if you wish to be stubborn that way. Marie Hall's books are like a candy that I can't stop eating. I finish one and find myself looking for just one more to read. Luckily, I've just started reading her books and there are plenty more to read before I catch up to her current book release dates. So, I'm signing off now, getting ready to start another Kingdom adventure. See you on the flip side!
Bored and didn't finish. I began loving the series, but I am so tired of her style. Her heroines are brash and although that is meant to denote strength, it just comes across as common and lacking in manners. Her heroes are supposed to be classy for the most part, but everything is so ostentatious and déclassé. This isn't a problem in itself, but coupled with repetition, bad punctuation and tedious writing, I just couldn't continue. I am disappointed in myself, her plots are very entertaining.
This was a good story. My only wish, not just with this book, but with the whole series is that there is so much sexism. Its always she's a wench, a bitch, a slut. Don't go here cause you will be raped. In all these stories they have fairly strong female leads but no one tries to change anything or make anything better. This happens in most of the books but this book really showed it. Example its ok to rape women if they are unmated. He beats his wife but that's just the wolves way. How can the fairies punish Gerard so harshly but do nothing about the wolves.
This book had some good scenes but I felt a lot of it was slow/boring. I liked both Giles and Lilith and their slow building romance, it was the rest of the story that didn't do it for me.
It was great. I really enjoyed this book. I can not wait to read more in this series. Although I'm not sure the title for this one is correct, it implies that Robin Hood would be a main character, but he was only mentioned briefly.
meh, probably my least favorite of the stories so far... And while I do like Giles, Lilith fell flat for me, as did most of the story. Just wasn't much there in my opinion.
U absolutely love this book. This book is felled with excitement and adventure. On Their quest Lilith and Giles encounters a lot of hardship but find love along the way
Another wonderful book in the utterly fabulous Kingdom series, Hood's Obsession was a lovely read. With magic, secrets, and a sweet romance, this book was great and I really liked it.
Both characters were likable. Lilith was strong willed and determined to be seen as independent. She had to learn over the course of the book, however, that relying on others wasn't a show of weakness, but of trust and that growth made her an interesting character. Giles was very sweet and a very loyal man by nature. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for the people he cared about. I thought they were both wonderful characters.
The romance was lovely. Lilith and Giles were well matched and made each other better. And, there were sparks constantly flying between them. I thought they were a perfect couple.
The plot was fast paced and I was kept interested, though not totally hooked, the entire way through. I enjoyed the story and the ending was perfect.
Hood's Obsession was a lovely fantasy romance. It was a delightful addition to an already fantastic series. Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out.

First of all, what's with this title? It makes you think it'll involve Robin Hood, but he only makes a brief appearance that ends up being the foreshadowing for the next book. Is it supposed to reference the fact that she's Red Riding Hood ' s daughter and wears the red cloak throughout the story? Other than that, I enjoyed this one as much as the others. And I see much potential coming out of this one. Not only is Robin the next leading male, but I think the Pied Piper and Lilith ' s brother will be the feature couple in a future book. It'd be great if we could see all of Red' s children hitched, since so far she's the only one to have multiple. Perhaps to all three of the dangerous three? I would have liked to have seen more response from Giles during Lilith ' s heat. I've always loved the animalistic desire that can cause. But I did enjoy how Giles broke the spell, not with true love's kiss but with his admission.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf have been busy during the past twenty years. With three boys and one girl, they've been blessed. But Lilith, their daughter never felt that way. It's hard on an alpha female when your folks are the only ones in shifter territory to be of two separate races. At thirteen she made a deal with Rumpelstiltskin. Years later, Rumpel's butler, Giles finds a nineteen year old Lilith as she is about to experience a nightmare situation. You see, Rumpel has sent Giles to collect on Lilith's debt. He is both her salvation and her curse. The two must learn to trust each other if they are going to survive Rumple's quest. Overall, I enjoyed this story. It was very different than the previous ones. Hope you love it too!
I loved Red and Wolf's story so it stands to reason that the story based on their daughter, Lilith would be just as good and it was. Yeah she was a bit of a brat but she is a wolf and they are a prideful bunch! Giles was just all kinds of yummy especially since he wasn't all caveman, he was a bit uptight but I loved how well him and Lily got along and had each other's backs! This was yet another great addition to this wonderful series!
(I hope there is going to be a story on the deadly three because there was something about those three women that I really liked, they were fierce but it was obvious how loyal they also are, so I hope there will be a future story for them!)
Read in Shifters After Dark set. I have not read this author before.
I liked this book. Lilith is the daughter of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. I am assuming they got together in a previous book since this is book 9. She made a deal with Rumplestiltskin and now it has been called due. Giles is not of her race or even her world. They have to travel together to get a chalice to save Rumple's child.
Lots of previous couples make cameos - which did not mean much to me since I have not read their stories. The author did a good job of making this a stand alone and I was able to follow the world and the story even this late in the series.
Loved it as per usual. I rarely find anything wrong with Marie Hall's books, I kind of feel like I should find something bad to say since I can be so harsh with other authors sometimes but these books are lined up perfectly with my wave length and I just can't find fault, none worthy of remembrance at least. Marie just serves up everything I look for in a fairytale ... including the juicy bits. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the next one.
edit. I know what's wrong with them! The story ends! I hate that! haha
A decent read. Giles and Lilith were likeable enough, and the quest motif was done well. I particularly liked Rayale, and would have liked to have seen more of her. The scene with the mice and rats made me shiver though. One thing that left me confused was the title of this instalment. Hood's book, I believe, is the next one in the series, and while he appears (briefly) in this book, I don't see why it's named after him. Nonetheless, a good contribution to the Kingdom series and another excellent example of the author's world-building skills.
I actually really liked this one of the series. Might even say one of my favorites. Giles was great. I really liked him in Rumpel's book and I liked him even more in this one. I really liked Lilith as well.
It was nice to see less grammar and punctuation mistakes that have plagued some of the other books in the series. The plot had a few issues but the characters were really strong in this one for me.
All of the previous books in this series caught me up in the story line & held me... This one, for some reason, made me want to finish it just to get to another book & another story line. It was not a horrible book, don't get me wrong, but it failed to be captivating like the other stories in the series.
I absolutely love this story. I love the entire series. It is well written with a great plot and well developed characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
