"Why Are You Crying? Tell Me and I'll Kill Them."
A Mafia Love Story

Malia Rose Carter
At just 20 years old, Malia is trapped in a nightmare she calls home. Her father's fists and her stepmother's cruel words have left her scarred-inside and out. Yet, beneath the bruises and tears, lies a quiet determination. She works tirelessly, holding onto the faint hope of one day escaping her abusive life. But with every dollar she saves, she wonders why they despise her so much. What had she done to deserve their hatred?

Donatello Dante Ferrari
Donatello, a ruthless 28-year-old mafia don, commands fear and respect. Born into power, he inherited his father's empire and the brutal legacy that came with it. Yet, beneath the cold exterior lies a man who believes in love. His father's words echo in his "There's a queen out there for you. Don't settle for anyone less." But years of searching have left him waiting, wondering if love is even in the cards for someone like him.

Their Worlds Collide.

When Donatello travels from Italy to Chicago to settle a business deal, fate intervenes. He meets Malia by chance, noticing the bruises she tries so hard to hide. Something about her vulnerability-and her silent strength-pulls at his guarded heart.

But Donatello's world is far from safe. His enemies are always watching, waiting for a moment of weakness. And Malia's past isn't so easily left behind.

Will Donatello risk everything to protect her? Can Malia trust him with her broken heart?

As passion ignites and enemies close in, they'll have to fight for their love-and their lives.

A story of pain, power, and redemption. Two souls from different worlds, brought together by fate. Can love conquer all in a world where loyalty is everything and trust is a dangerous game?

SPOILERS! Fast Pace Mafia Romance (Lots of Plot Twist!/TW’s)

This book started off so sad. I felt extremely saddened for the female MC, Malia. She had been through so much from early Childhood to the beginning of her twenties with her Mothers “Death” and being raised by her physically/verbally abusive Father and Stepmother. She went through hell and back living under their household. That was until her Knight and shining Armor A.K.A Italian Mafia Boss, Donatello came to her rescue and saved her from it all. He moved her instantly to Italy with him and it was love at first sight. Their relationship was amazing and she started to find a new family for herself through Don and his Sister, Valentina.

The book and writing style quickly took a turn for the worst half way into the book and before I knew it Malia had suffered Childhood, been shot and placed in a coma due to being put at risk because of Donatello, physically abused, cheated on, and was being verbally controlled by Donatello which made her run away two times throughout the course of the book to escape him and find her inner peace but, each time DONATELLO FOLLOWED HER and would find her place of solidarity. Malia was never able to fully heal from this because he was consistently disrupting her peace of mind.

I felt as though Donatello was supposed to be her “Savior” but it was very contradicting due to the way that he treated her. Knowing that she came from an abusive background already because he saved her from it.

Malia deserved so much more better!
