The minotaur; ancient mythical beast or a deadly reality? This is the question that confronts private investigator, Jerry King, as he delves into the mystery of a series of recent murders. What he discovers astounds him, and the more he digs the further he is thrust into a world of horror he never dreamt could ever really exist!
Born in Sydney, Australia, and now living on the Gold Coast, I have been writing for more than 30 years. I've written numerous full length and short works of fiction and non-fiction, and have had many articles and short stories published in major Australian and international publications.
Minotaur is a horror novel in the classic mode. It's extremely creepy, scary, tense and a little blood-thirsty. Everything you want and expect when you read horror.
Private Detective Jerry King is hired to investigate the recent alleged murder of two teenage boys. It's as he delves deeper into the case, with the aid of his reporter girlfriend, that he realizes these are no ordinary murders. Something way more sinister is at play, way more horrific and terrifying than a mere madman on the loose. A madman is behind the gruesome attacks, but it's what he has created that is the really frightening part.
Some scenes in this book are so creepy and tense that you will be constantly looking over your shoulder as you read. The author creates imagery for his scenes that really puts you in the story alongside the characters.
I'm fast becoming a bit of a fan of this writer, having now read three of his books. It's a rare skill that an author can adeptly write both fiction and non-fiction as this writer cleverly does. Definitely worth reading.
A very gripping tale but I found the happy end didn't fit well with the rest of the story. Saying that I did find the rest of this twisting tale a story that would keep you entertained and hold your attention well. You follow Jerry King, a PI, and his reporter girlfriend as the hunt for the savage killer stacking the Gold Coast of Australia. Unknown to them what the are after is a creature from mythology. As I said I didn't like the end of this story yet found that the rest of it a entertaining read and for this reason gave it four stars though with the right ending I would have given it five.
