Cassandra Carr is a multi-award winning romance writer. When not writing she enjoys watching hockey and hanging out online. Cassandra's books have won numerous "Best Book Of" awards and her novella Unexpected Top was nominated in the E-book Erotic Romance category of RT's Reviewers' Choice Awards.
She thinks the best part of being a writer is penning stories about love and sex while most others struggle with commutes, micro-managing bosses and cranky co-workers.
This was a quick and fun read. It is a novella, so everything goes in high speed. From them meeting, sleeping together and gaining a HEA. I liked both characters and the fact that we have a sports hero who doesn’t sleep around and isn’t surrounded by women. I’m more for a slow burn though, but knowing this was a novella I already knew that wouldn’t be the case. They made a sweet couple together.
Novellas are a double edge sword. I love that they are short and I can read a few quickly , I dislike them when I fall for characters that I would love to read more about. This was especially true for this novella. I could have read more about these two.
I enjoyed this brief glimpse about how Scott hooked Hannah. It was a cute read. The author, Cassandra Carr, knows how to draw the reader into the story line quickly. I liked the chemistry of the two main characters. You could feel the held a connection throughout the book. It was especially evident when Scott went on a road trip. You could feel their longing for each other during their phone call. I also appreciate the realistic romance of the two. It's something that you can see happening when two people can build their relationship.

I really enjoyed this Novella. It was short and I did find that some of it went by fast but it was easy to follow. I thought it was well written and the storyline was really good. I like Scott and I thought he was swoon-worthy. He is a hockey player who at the end of a game met Hannah a player sister-in-law. She doesn’t want that life of being with a hockey player. But what happens when she meets and gets to know Scott more? I really love ready this authors books, she never disappoints. Over all I give this book 4 stars!
This was a very short and sweet read with a little bit of steam.
I liked Hannah and Scott. They were very cute together. I love how confident Scott is but with Hannah he had a bit of a shy side. He really liked her and wanted her to like him for him and not just because he's this rich hockey player.
They moved really fast as a couple but it was sweet. It was a lot of lust at first site with the possibility of being love really soon.
It was just a very cute read and very informative on hockey.
Hooking Hannah was a short and sweet story. I really liked the characters, Hannah Howard and Scott Richards. Both were sexy and intelligent with great chemistry.
Within the boundaries of a novella, Carr was able to provide a semi-detailed storyline that included some description into the NHL world to keep it authentic. I was craving more depth and dimension within both the storyline and the characters that only a more in depth novel could provide. A deeper dive into their relationship beyond a few weeks was also desired.
All in all, a quick and enjoyable read for a lazy afternoon.
Over the past few months I've read many books by Cassandra Carr. Her stories vary in romance themes and heat levels but I have enjoyed them all. Hooking Hannah is by far my favorite so far, and I want more of Hannah and Scott's story. I really didn't want the book to end and can't wait for the next part.
Scott is a hockey player and Hannah is leery to get involved with him as she has heard all kinds of stories about the players, but their instant attraction is too strong to ignore.
I read this book in one short afternoon. It was just a quick fun read. There wasn't a ton of time for character development... but I was still given enough to absolutely fall in love with Scott. On top of being a hot hockey player... he was just a sweetie (don't tell his team mates!). I could completely understand Hannah struggling with her "no dating hockey players" rule once she met Scott. Cassandra Carr just writes these great little romance novellas. LOVE.
I know this is a novella, but the pace of it moved at whip-lashing speed. It was a quick read with a few grammatical errors. Hannah's sister is married to a pro-hockey player and is invited to the all-star game where she catches the eye of Scott. The two meet, get hot and heavy, and attempt to navigate what comes next. A close call has them reevaluating feelings and priorities.
*I received this free in exchange for an honest review* This is a great sports story. These two authors make a great writing team. This book is well written, sexy, and I'm begging for more. The authors really know the sport and you can tell. The details make it a great story. If you like sports, or if you like hot athletes, grab this book. It's bound to make you smile!
FIRST TIME I HAVE READ ANYTHING FROM THIS AUTHOR AND CERTAINLY WONT BE MY LAST. LOVED THE STORY SWEET BUT WITH PLENTY OF SEXY PASSION. I FEEL SCOTT HAD A HIDDEN PAST HIDING HURT. WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WITH THESE CHARACTERS.
5 stars. I absolutely loved reading Hooking Hannah. It was a short read but I definitely loved meeting Scott and Hannah. I absolutely recommend this book, buy it you won't be disappointed.
Cassandra Carr never disappoints, and she has done it again. This book was sexy, romantic and extremely lovely to read. I loved the characters and the story line.
