Harold Leffall is a wellness advocate, cancer survivor, motivational speaker and entrepreneur. I’ve been following him on Instagram for about 2 years. He is the reason I now own a Kuvings cold press juicer. I guess you can say I was influenced by the influencer😊.

When he announced back in January that he had published this book, I added it to my TBR. It took some time for me to finally get to it. But I truly believe books find us when we’re ready for them.

This was a quick read at 124 pages. What stood out to me most was the beautiful design. Great quality and very visually pleasing.

The content blends memoir, personal development, and cookbook elements. Aside from the recipes, I can’t say that I learned anything new. The information served mostly as a reminder that food can either heal or kill!

Here’s a few gems I picked up from Harold during this journey:

💎 Disease doesn’t run in families-habits do…only about 10% of chronic illnesses are genetic the other 90% are influenced by lifestyle, choices, including diet.

💎You don’t know how sick you are until you feel better.

💎As we age, our sense of thirst, diminishes making dehydration, more common. Staying hydrated is crucial for one main maintaining energy levels to supporting digestion and nutrient absorption three reducing joint pain and preventing stiffness.

💎 Continuing unhealthy habits, while hoping for healing is like planting weeds and expecting flowers.

💎Emotional eating may provide temporary comfort, but it often leads to guilt, shame, and further emotional distress.

💎What we eat influences, not just our physical health, but also our mood, mindset, and a sense of connection to ourselves and the world around us.
