From the bestselling author of WAIT FOR YOU, prepare to be blown away by her next New Adult story of love, lust and longing - containing an exclusive bonus scene that isn’t in the ebook that you won’t want to miss!

There are a lot of reasons why Teresa and Jase should steer clear of each other…

Firstly, Teresa is Jase’s best friend’s little sister – and Jase has a pretty good idea of how Cam will feel about anyone messing her around.

Secondly, Teresa’s dreams of being a dancer have just been put on hold – maybe permanently. The last thing she needs is a player like Jase distracting her when she needs to find direction.

Thirdly, Jase has a secret. A big one. And he’s not ready to risk sharing it with anyone apart from the people closest to his heart.

But there is one electric reason why they can’t stay away from each other…

This is how I felt when I found out about this book

And this is my disappointment while reading it

I absolutely love JLA and her YA paranormal series and I adored book #1 in this series - Wait for You - but I have to admit that she lost her touch in this book. Story was not captivating enough and characters were driving me crazy (not in a good way) so I just couldn't finish it.

Jase wasn't able to make up his mind. He repeatedly rejected Tess only to be behaving like a jelaous childlish prick afterwards. His constant hot&cold behaviour didn't help to build up anticipation or angst, it was just plain annoying! And don't make start about his lame reasons for all of that...

Moreover, Tess and Jase were boring together as a couple in my eyes and they never grew on me. Cam and Avery stole every moment they were present in the story. And it is not a good sign when I care about supporting character more than about main ones.

Apparently, this book was not for me. But who knows, you may feel different about it yourselves!

This book was really good! Read it in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Jase annoyed me with his hot and cold attitude initially but he grew on me. I adored Theresa and the character growth she undergoes. Loved that we got to see glimpses of Cam and Avery too :D

Update: 29th September 2013

Would you look at that cover?!

Gorgeous!
Wish it was February already.

---------
More teasers:
He shot me a look that scorched. “I wanted to make this perfect. I wanted to wait, but I can’t now.”
---
He closed his eyes and a deep sound came from the back of his throat. “God, Tess…”
I swallowed hard and then tilted my head, lining up our mouths. “Jase?”
There was a moment of hesitation and then he kissed me softly, a gently sweep of his lips over mine. A barely there touch that somehow effected me more than any of the other kisses. “I know you’ve been drinking. I don’t want that hanging between us.”
“But—”
“We’ll talk more later. Okay? Right now, let me just get your not-drunk-but-slightly-tipsy cute ass upstairs.”
“You think my ass is cute?”
He pulled away, laughing. “Baby, your ass is like my own personal holy ground.”
----

Update 29/5/2013
Teaser: “Is Spring Mills even a town?” At Jase’s confused stare, I shrugged. “I mean, isn’t it really just Hedgesville or Falling Waters? Just because you build a super Wal-Mart, that doesn’t make it a town.”
Jase stared at me a moment longer and then he laughed deeply.
God help me, but I loved it when he laughed like that. No matter how irritated I was with him or how badly I wanted to karate kick him between the legs, when he laughed, it was like the sun was shining in my eyes.
Leaning over, he wrapped an arm around my waist, tugging me closer—close enough that if I lifted my head, our mouths would be inches apart. My heart literally did several pliés in my chest. If talking about fake towns and Wal-Marts got him in the hugging mood, I’d start naming other places like Darksville and Shanghai and—
“Sometimes I don’t think you’re right in the head.” He squeezed me as he dropped his chin to the top of my head and my breath caught in my throat. “But I like that. I really do. Not sure what that says about me.”
“That you’re awesome?”
He chuckled. “Yeah, something like that.”

Update 8/5/2013
JLA just said that Jase is her favorite guy and that's taking into account Daemon, Aiden and Cam :0 Be prepared to swoon over Jase :D

"Love can heal. Love can also kill."

Teaser:

OMG! Another book? This just made my day. I want more of Cam, Avery, Brit, Jacob, Ollie, Jase and Theresa.
The story is about Theresa....and hopefully Jase?

Now I'll just have to patiently wait for the blurb, cover and release date the book! *Le Sigh*

Be with Me is the story of Teresa (Tess) and Jase. Jase is Cam’s best friend and Tess is Cam’s little sister. You can see where this is going, right? Although Jase and Tess have had feelings for one another since that shared kiss over a year ago, Jase has stayed away. Now that Tess is on the same college campus as Jase, it is so much harder for him to keep his distance. He wants Tess, it’s obvious, but he can’t have her. For so many reasons, he feels they can’t be together. He can’t have Tess, but what he doesn’t realize is that he already does. No one compares to Jase for her.
“I’m sorry. What happened between us? It shouldn’t have, and I am so very fucking sorry.”

description
“You’re Cam’s little sister. You’re untouchable.”

Tess and Jase do the friendship thing for a while. Tess is at that college for one reason. She injured her knee and can’t dance at the moment. After learning she shares a class with Jase, he offers to chauffeur her around campus to make it easier for her. This means they spend a lot of time together. The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for Jase to resist her. He still has so many reservations, but he can’t control himself around her. He can’t continue to push her away.

description

Tess and Jase enter in a relationship, but they keep it to themselves for now. When is a good time to tell Cam that his best friend (who used to be somewhat of a ladies man) and his baby sister are together? Cam is extra protective of Tess, especially after the situation with her last boyfriend. Things are different with Tess than any other girl. So different. He is all in with her. Jase takes her to meet his parents, and the little boy who means everything to him, his little brother Jack. He doesn’t do things like that. Not ever. Tess is special. He can see a future with her.
“I didn’t care about them. Not like I care about you, Tess. I want this- I want us to be different. I want us to mean more than sex. I need us to mean more than that. Okay?”

description

What will the future hold? When or if Tess’s knee injury heals, will she take off to dance? Jase has obligations that keep him where he is. He can’t leave the area. Before they get to delve too deep into any of that, a lot of crazy things go down. When we found out Jase’s secret early on, I have to say I wasn’t surprised. It was fairly predictable. But this? When we hit that 60-65% mark, I can truthfully say I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! And I cried. And it changed everything. From the 65% mark on, it became very fast paced, a little angsty, and kept me completely on the edge of my seat!

Jase and Tess made a fantastic couple. Once they faced some of the obstacles that were between them, I adored them together. Jase was the sweetest. The cupcake thing... made me melt! And he was HOT! The scenes between the two of them were much steamier than the first book imo. I liked the quote that Jase said about good things coming from the unexpected. I think that was the best thing about this book. Everything that happened to each of the mc’s was something unexpected. Things that they never wanted or expected, but things that ended up working out just fine.

Wait for You was one of my favorite NA books of last year. I loved everything about it. Be with Me was a great read too. It was sexy, sweet, funny and even a bit suspenseful. For some reason, I just didn’t get into it as much as book one. The beginning half was a bit slow for me. It was very well written, and still a great story, it just didn’t hit my five star buttons. Still, I would recommend it to any JLA and NA fans. I see that Calla’s book will be next (Stay with Me- due sometime September 2014) and I’m looking forward to that. She seemed like a good friend to Tess and after hearing a little of her story, I’m interested to see whats going to happen with her.

ME ENCANTA.

It's always a pleasure to read Jennifer Armentrout's books. Her works are simply amazing and are filled with lots of interesting and swoony characters boys. She simply has that writing style that makes everything in the book delightful. I wasn't able to read more books written by her during the past few months after reading White Hot Kiss and now that I've read this novel, I felt refreshed in a way.

Be with Me is quite an enjoyable, guilty-pleasure, New Adult book. It's the second book in the Wait for You series. This time around, we get to discover Jase and Tess's story. Jase is Cam's (from Wait for You) best friend while Teresa is Cam's sister. Their story started off when Tess was sixteen and they kissed accidentally which made the tension between them become more intense as the years went by. Now Teresa is an 18 year old college girl and is trying to move on from her experience with her abusive ex-boyfriend. And Jase, is Jase. A seriously intense, hottie-mc-hotters frat guy who, unfortunately carries some heavy, emotional baggage with him. They meet again because they're now attending the same college and also shares the same class in a particular subject.

I find their love story sweet and emotionally driven. At times, I even find myself pausing for a while because I just have to feel all the feels. There's certainly chemistry between Jase and Tess and I also find their push and pull relationship so cute.

However, I still feel like I love the first book even better than this. Be with Me is quite different compared to Wait for You because Be With Me seems a bit heavier and it's overloaded with too many conflicts and dramas-- which I think, is a major drawback. I love dramas and angst because those are the qualities that made me feel drawn to New Adult books but this book-- there was just too much of it! Both the main characters carry heavy issues that I guess, will never be resolved in just one book. Aside from that, there were also serious issues carried by the secondary characters (Debbie and Erik) which is NOT at all necessary. C'mon, why don't we just focus on Jase and Tess alone? They're already having so many problems and yet, there are nuisances around them which make the overall story even more difficult to take. My emotions are all over the place! It could have been better if the story just focused on the main characters alone. Also, I think the story will be much more beautiful if all the dramas and the conflicts were less overwhelming, because too much of everything isn't good.

In spite of my issues with this book, however, I can say that I still enjoyed it. The romantic scenes between Jase and Tess are sweet and hot. They're definitely one those book couples that make me smile and feel awed just because. :)

I'll Take "Drama" for $200, Alex!

Ever since reading Cam and Avery's story in book one of this series, "Wait For You," I was anxious to read about Jace and Teresa. Jace is Cam's best friend, and Teresa is his younger sister. This is a stand alone, but I encourage you to read book one, as I sure wouldn't want you to miss out on Cam and Avery's HEA.

I must admit though, I wish this was written in dual POV's to really delve deeper into Jace's thought process. I would much rather hear the H's point of view vs. the h, but a dual is the ultimate, IMHO. I really liked both characters. Jace is 22 years old, and Teresa nearly nineteen. I would categorize it as a NA read.

This was a drama filled, sometimes frustrating read, but all in all, I really enjoyed. I do wish there would have been an epilogue to get some clear cut answers concerning some issues, but maybe as the series progresses we will see them in upcoming books and hear how "things" are coming along, instead of making our own assumptions.

Teresa Hamilton's dreams of becoming a professional dancer were on put on hiatus the day she tore her ACL. Her full scholarship to attend a prestigious ballet school is also put on hold. She is now enrolled in the same college as her brother, Cam, and the one guy who could make all of Teresa's girl fantasies come true. The guy she has been crushing on for three years. The guy who kissed her a year ago and rocked her world. The guy who hasn't returned one single text or email since that kiss. The guy who is presently standing in front of her and apologizing for kissing her. Telling her it was a mistake and that he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing. Oh, but Teresa knows better. He wasn't drunk, but he is now totally rejecting her. It is a devastating blow.

"You've had a crush on me for how long? Of course you'd think it meant something amazing. Tess, why do you think I haven't talked to you this entire time. I knew you would think there was more behind it," he said, and heat poured across my cheeks. "It was a mistake. I'm not attracted to you. Not like that."

I jerked back as if I'd been slapped. And God knows I knew what it felt like to be slapped. Hurt and embarrassment crawled up my throat, filling my eyes.

Jase Winstead has been infatuated with Teresa for nearly three years, but she is his best friend's sister, meaning she is off limits. He met her when he would go along home with Cam on weekends to visit his family. She is a stunningly beautiful girl whom he has had an awfully hard time keeping his hands off of. The more he visited with Teresa on weekends the more he wanted to touch and claim as his. She means more to him than just a 'roll in the hay.' Although he knows Cam will go off the deep end if he finds out he has it bad for his sister, there is one ultimate reason he can never be with her, a reason that has been kept under wraps from nearly everyone. A reason he knows will eventually crush Teresa's heart.

Title: Be With Me
Series: Wait for You #2
Author: J. Lynn
Release Date: February 4th, 2014
Rating: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: No
HEA:

I love J Lynn’s books, and it’s not a secret. I think I’d read a tour guide if she wrote it. Her novels are just so damn fantastic, it’s very hard not to fall in love with them. Not only Jennifer L Armentrout can write a good damn romance, she can phenomenally mix it with drama, suspense and fill me with all those fluffy, fuzzy emotions in a matter of hours. Be With Me was no exception. Although, I didn’t love it as much as Cam and Avery’s story, because how can you out write perfection? I was still enjoying myself and swooning and laughing J Lynn’s style.

Be with Me is Tess & Jase story. Tess is Cam’s younger sister and very strong character. I connected with her immediately. I couldn’t stop myself from liking her very much. Like every female protagonist Armentrout created Tess is funny, sweet, has a temper and doesn’t take any bullshit.

Tess is madly in love with her brother’s best friend. For as long as she remembers, Jase made her blush, and woke thousands of butterflies in her stomach. After perfect, steamy and incredibly amazing kiss Jase and Tess shared, her feelings only skyrocketed. But after that they've been practically ignoring each other and a year’s passed before they finally had a chance to talk about it.

Jase was attracted to Tess since she was sixteen, but he just couldn’t do anything about it. Not only Cam’s stood on the way.. there were many more obstacles that made it impossible for him to win Teresa’s heart. Now, when she is in the same campus as he is things started to be more complicated than ever.

”I want you to be with me.”

I’m still all fuzzy inside. This is what JLA’s books do to me. What can I say? I had this big grin on my face while reading Be With Me nonstop, I swear I looked like Joker. My mouth is still hurting from it. The romance, the suspense, the characters… everything was 100% swoon worthy. You can't help but feel connected to each character and engrossed in the story so much the real world doesn’t matter at all.

The intense heat that blazed from the pages left me burning up and needing more. Tess and Jase’s chemistry was instantaneous and they're quickly tapped into it. All book was a crazy roller coaster of secrets, longing and love.

The only reason I dropped the rating to four stars is the fact that I couldn’t stop myself from comparing Tess and Jase to Cam and Avery. Sadly, the couple we met in sequel as fantastic as it was didn’t hold a candle to *sigh* Cam’s cookies and Avery’s intense story.

Overall, this book was very good NA read! Packed with witty lines, heart pounding suspense, romance, HOT SEX and yummy hero, Be With Me was great read!

4 Beautiful Stars.

This books tells us the story of Teresa (Tess) and Jase. As you must remember Tess is Cam’s younger sister and Jase’s his best-friend.
Tess has an abusive ex-boyfriend and since that she was never able to trust a boy again… until Jase. They both has feelings for each other but neither of them acts on them for a long time.
First Tess thinks Jase has afraid of Cam’s reaction since he tends to be a little overprotective. Little being an understatement.
But now they’re at the same college and spending more time together she realizes then there’s more to it than it seems initially.
Jase not only has his own demons but he’s also not ready to expurgate them, so will Tess be able to deal with her demons and help Jase with his?

Okay, let me honest: this was a pretty good NA book. But it didn’t came even close to the first one in the series: Wait for you.
It was nice, endearing, the story hooked me but it just didn’t felt like a Jennifer Armentrout book. It lacked the “wow factor” that she is a pro art. (If you’re a fan of her you totally understand what I’m saying.)
Nevertheless, this still is one of my favorites NA series and I can’t wait to read Calla’s story. And hopefully know more about that “thing” between Brit and Ollie.

description

Rating: 4 Stars. (Three for the story, half for regular Cam appearances and the other half for Jennifer Armentrout awesomeness. I still love her!)
Storyline: Good, engaging but lacking some coherence at some moments.
Writing Style: First person, female POV. Considering who wrote it, this book is basically perfect writing. It’s sweet, fun and completely addictive. The writing was not the problem, some aspect of the storyline were.
Character Development: I believe this is probably the first time I like the female MC more than the male. Tess was pretty good and I loved how she wasn’t a whiny heroine and didn’t self-pity herself through the whole book. (And there was a lot of ground for her to do so.)
Jase was sweet, sexy but the whole “Now I want you. Now I don’t. Now I don’t deserve you but you can’t be with anyone else. Now I want you again.” Got on my nerves and I couldn’t get through it. Jase, from the previous book, I was expecting more from you!!
The supportive cast was excellent and I loved to see more of Cam and Avery. But then again, I always love to see more of Cam.
Steam: Some real hot moments.

I consider "Be with me" the best of the series, although I love the first one, I connected more with this and maybe because of the characters.
Avery was very fragile and vulnerable, but I was in the mood of reading something about a determined and stubborn heroine. Teresa was it:)

The book follows Teresa and Jase, Cam's little sister and best friend.
They have a history together, sharing a kiss some time ago but keeping it friendly after that. Jase was drunk and confused, but Teresa knew what she was doing. She was secretly in love in with and wanted a chance to make him happy. Jase on the other hand was guarded and kept his distance, partly because we are talking about his best friend litte sister, but mainly because he has a well guarded secret that once revealed, it would change Teresa's opinion about him.

I liked Teresa so much. She was the typical straight forward style, determined, passionate and committed. She was in love with Jase and once feeling they may have a chance, she went full throttle to win him over. She was not afraid of his brother and defended her love for Jase.
She was very brave, but also fragile, and made me admire her more for it. She also accepted anything that came with Jase, because she loved him without judging.

Jase was a very tormented guy, with a mysterious past and with a heavy baggage. He was also attracted to Terasa, but his responsibilities were more important than love. He was committed to a role he had for years, and once letting someone in might have consequences. He was very mature for his age and didn't put his needs first. He gave up a lot in his life and I really believe he deserves to be happy with a person that can accept and see him for what he is.

The love scenes between them were intense and passionate. I loved the way Jennifer made them click so well, although at first their relationship was impossible.
I enjoyed seeing Cam and Avery back, but Cam really managed to upset me with this overprotective side. In the end I understood his position, that this is what big brothers do.

Overall, I love this series for the amazing characters it provides us and for the amazing and original stories we witnessed.
5 stars!!

Well.... this is another one for my "I liked it but didn't love it" shelf. Honestly it wasn't a bad read at all, it just pissed me off more than making me smile. Let me rephrase that, Jase pissed me off.

It probably is a case of it is just me, my mood..... but dang it, I loved Jace. I really liked Teresa. I wanted to love this story. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel different. But for now, I have to move on and get more to this growing group!!!!! Still loving the series though!!!!

 photo 106fa69f-ca7c-45fd-981c-ae481f1d3d42_zps1a3a2c03.jpg

Teresa Hamilton aka Tess always dreamed of being a dancer until an injury has left her future uncertain. She is now going to have to go with her back up plan, and attend college. She heads to Shepherd where her big brother Cam is going to school. Also attending Shepherd is her brother's best friend Jase Winstead who she has had a crush on for the past three years. In Teresa's eyes Jase was everything she'd ever wanted in a guy, and absolute physical perfection.

 photo 5c7cec52-1a0c-4fd7-97f4-7366f717d8e2_zps2eeb7c92.jpg

Jase often would come home with her brother to visit. He was always kind & funny, and they grew close as friends. One evening they crossed that line and shared an unbelievable kiss that Teresa could never forget. It was amazing, and just made her long for more.

 photo e26db18f-a27c-4699-ae3a-eda0f73c7260_zps025134cd.jpg

After they share that incredible kiss, Teresa doesn't see or hear from Jase for a year. She is excited that she will be close to him now at the same school. She hopes she can get some answers, and just maybe have a chance with him. He is still her ultimate guy of her fantasies, and she just can't seem to get him out of her system. She wants to see if there's still anything between them.

 photo a5ea3f90-2d12-458e-90c9-99671398720f_zps356f0f09.jpg

Jase is shocked to see Teresa on campus. He feels bad he hasn't talked to her in so long, but he feels the kiss they shared was a mistake. As his best friends little sister, she should be untouchable to him, & off limits. So he panicked & decided to put some distance between them.

 photo fd14397f-cf44-4a07-999b-2b77697f6d3e_zps6099317a.jpg

So the problem is the more Jase is around Teresa, the more he wants her & has trouble resisting her. He runs hot and cold with her. One minute he is giving in to his attraction & growing feelings, & they next minute he's pushing her away.

 photo 6570a875-db11-4c40-98bf-40e70a80193b_zps3e8c0225.jpg

-Over three years of crushing on him, a year since the last time our lips met, and Jase... oh God, he was finally kissing me.

-This kiss went on forever as he tasted and explored. I never knew it was possible for a kiss to be so powerful, but it was.

 photo a7d18c8c-c518-44de-835f-525d3a7e25ee_zps9567279d.jpg

Their chemistry is amazing, and they quickly realize they have real feelings for each other. They struggle because of Jase's past, him feeling he isn't good enough for her, & the issue of her brother, & have to decide if they have something worth fighting for. This was another fabulous book in this series. I just love a falling for the brothers yummy best friend story! :D

Second book in the series and I fell in love again. ❤️
This book had some black parts and Erik was so cruel, but I’m so happy the ending was happy. And that trio... so cute! Happy family and all that. Perfect!
P. S. I missed Cam and it was so good to read about him again. 😏

If we can't get more Cam, then we get the next best thing...Cam's best friend, Jase, and Cam's little sister, Tess.

Likes:

• Tess! I really enjoyed her much more than I thought I would even if she had sex on the brain when Jase was around.

• Jase - I loved getting to see his vulnerable side and I sure didn't see the twist coming.

• Calla - I thought she was great! And I'm really curious about the scar although I think we got a good idea of how she got it. I would love a story about her.

• LOVED getting all the Cam and Avery parts! And sooo excited about the "surprise"!

• Cupcakes! Loved that the "baked good" theme continues...

• Jase's parents, especially his Dad, and Jack!

• Thunder and Lightning...aka Bubba 1 and Bubba 2.

• Some steamy scenes and it doesn't hurt that Jase is a dirty talker! ;)

description

Dislikes:

• The back and forth between Jase and Tess got to be a bit much.

• This book has some seriously heavy subject matter! And not just one thing but several...maybe it was too much.

• Erik - that was easy to figure out.

• I could've done without the million different shades of Jase's eyes...ugh!

• And hearing about all of Tess' tingles!

• Really? the no condom/birth control scene...really??

One scene with Ollie and Brittany...wth??

description

Overall:

I enjoyed the story even if it was a bit depressing at times. I wish more focus/time was spent on Jase and Tess. I had heard the next story was suppose to be Ollie and Brittany's but with them hardly in this book, I really questioned that. After looking around a bit, looks like the next one will be Calla and ...Brandon? Guess we'll find out more about that scar after all!

He nodded. “Yep. That’s good shit right there, huh?”

“I want to marry it.”

♥ “Actually, it’s experience. Things come along you don’t expect all the time, Tess. Trust me. Things that change everything about your life—about what you thought you wanted, who you thought you were. Things that make you reevaluate everything and even if it doesn’t sound like a good thing in the beginning?” He shrugged as he settled his gaze on Thunder. “Sometimes they turn out better than you could’ve ever imagined.”

Teresa has always had one dream, simply to dance. But when she injures her knee she's on to plan B, attending college, the same college that Cam, Avery and Jase attend. She's been harboring feelings for her brother's best friend ever since that night that he kissed her a year ago, the night that he took her mind off of the abusive relationship she escaped and the events that would change her brother's life.

Jase can't seem to stop his attraction to Tess, his life is far too complicated though for him to allow himself to fall for this girl. Saddled with his own secrets and fears of what loving someone can do; he pushes Tess away. But he can only push so much until he is dragging her back.

Both Jase and Tess have their own struggles they'll have to deal with. Her injury has taken away so much already and things just seem to get worse. As for Jase, his secret is not just a painful memory, but a daily reminder. When they're pushed to their limits they finally are forced to face their feelings. Letting go isn't as simple as he thought it would be when his heart wants her to stay.

Jennifer set the bar pretty high with Cam and those damn cookies, so Jase had a lot to live up to. He fell a little bit short for me, but I still enjoyed this story. I love the little sister/best friend romances and loved that we finally got to know Jase. His big reveal was a tad bit predictable, for those that have read each of the books in this series - I guess that most were already sorting this out pretty early on. But that did not diminish the story for me one bit.

Tess was a likable all the way around - she wasn't overly insecure and she knew what she wanted from the start. I love when the heroine is more on the stable side of things even when things in her life seem to be heading south. As for Jase, he was broken... but not enough for my taste. I wanted either the angst that comes with the man-whore or the damage that comes from past trauma... he was just a little banged up - I like them shattered.

I adore Jennifer's writing style and how she develops the story. As a reader, you just can't go wrong when it comes to selecting something from this author. Did I want a bit more to this story? Yes. I wanted Jase to blow Cam out of the water... but that was not the case this time around. And although this can be read as a stand alone, you'll get more of a complete picture if you read the prior books in the series.

We are also introduced to Calla, who is an intriguing character. I am hoping that she'll end up with Brandon who seems to be just a tad bit damaged.

I devoured this book in one sitting.

Be With Me is Teresa and Jase's story. Jase is Cam's bestfriend and Teresa is Cam's sister. Sounds really simple and predictable, right? But it's really not. Sometimes, it's simple stories like these that can trip an author up. But not Jennifer Armentrout. In fact, some of her most unforgettable stories, at least for me, follows pretty much a simple patter of boy meets girl and they fall in love, conquer their obstacles and lived happily ever after. :)

This was a perfect blend of sweet with a dash of angst and a pinch of suspense thrown in. It was the perfect read for me. I loved, loved Jase Winstead. I enjoyed Teresa too!

It was sweet and the banter was fun. It was wonderful to see Cam, Avery, Brit and Brodie plus new characters like Brandon and Calla. It didn't hurt that Jase and Teresa's chemistry was sizzling hot!

It was really fun and enjoyable read. I definitely recommend it.

Squeezing in as many books as I can before going back to uni.

This was an awesome, quick and heart-pounding read. The story was unpredictable. The writing was witty and fun. The romance made my eyes rolled out of its sockets a couple of times but it turned out great and made me turn green with jealousy. Oh, and it had a bit of suspense too.

I had a love and hate relationship with Jase though. But he's redeemed.

What more can I say about a Jennifer Armentrout book that hasn't already been said?

With all the talk about cupcakes.

“He was going to make me gain ten pounds this way, but so far I’d had a variety of cupcakes—Twix, Oreos, strawberry, white chocolate, Skittles—that was kind of gross—banana and chocolate, and a dark chocolate cupcake that was so decadent I felt like I had to go to church after eating it.”

“Today we shared a red velvet cupcake with some kind of cream cheese icing.”

“It’s peanut butter icing and filling.”

“It’s vanilla with strawberry icing.”

All I can say is I NEED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY CUPCAKE RUN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!

(That's right! I just quoted the ones about cupcake. So sue me.)

4 Super Cute Stars

I really like this series and although Be With Me didn’t leave me shocked and awed like Wait for You, I still enjoyed Be with Me a lot.

Teresa is your typical college gal. She’s in love with her brother’s best friend and knows Jase will never be with her. Jase has past issues and because of that he doesn’t let anyone get close to him. Now, that Teresa is in college and they go to school together, it’s harder for Jase to keep Teresa at arm’s length.

This book is super cute, it’s a no fuss, no muss kind of book that is perfect if you are ever in the mood for that. I really like the storyline.

Teresa

The Heroine isn’t anything special, but she isn’t annoying. I liked her, she’s cute and who doesn’t like a Heroine who has a crush on the Hero. She wants to be a dancer, but she struggles with her knee. Very … like I say it again, cute right?

Jase

Oh Jase, the guy with a lot of baggage and issues. Jase has a secret and it keeps him very guarded. You can see his struggles with his feelings with Teresa and it’s very interesting to read. There’s crazy tension and you just want them to work it out!

Overall

I really like the banter between the main characters and it’s pretty fast pace read. There’s no annoying parts or dragging scenes. You find out Jase’s past fairly quickly and it’s a good one too. If you are a fan of Jennifer’s works, like I am, you will not be disappointed.

I think because Cameron Hamilton and his damn cookies were met first...there was pretty high bar set, so although I love Jase and Tess...it wasnt as fabulous as book 1!

This however does not take away how much I truly liked this. Jase and Tess's tale has a much harsher feel to it, a more emotional tone, and definitely more intense themes. There was still a bit of humor and good banter, but again...more complex/intense characers!

I really like Jase...

How truly heartbreaking his past is. He is a big bad teddy bear, he struggles so hard to do the right thing at all times, but his heart is so big and he really, really wants his best friend's little sister! His passion and his needs/wants for Tess were super, hot and sensual...this man has to have the worst case of blue balls ever experienced! That or he has the patience of an absolute saint!

As for Tess...this beautiful little broken dancer....

I was kind of in the middle with her...I will acknowledge the fact that she was young, and that she has had a forever crush on Jase, but she was bit drama for me with about everything. I felt bad for all the shit she had dumped on her from her injury, past abusive relationship, and traumatic roomie experiences. I did appreciated her all out attitude towards Jase, but I just felt she was too young to really "know" what her future would be, esp after losing her dreams!

But both were inherently good...both were a balm to each other's souls. One young and naïve...one older and experienced, but both on a level playing field.

That being said, i am still a fan of this series! I love Jase and his pink cupcake boxes, and I hope he and Tess make it...i guess time will tell! I am really hoping Ollie gets some love...and Calla is an amazing character i think should def be explored!

OMIGOSH!! I WANT THIS BOOK!!! This is the second book in the Wait For You series!

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

4/5⭐

The plot twists were great, fully surprising but unfortunately, a lot of serious issues were handled poorly. It could have been a really great story but the author was unable to express the perfect emotions through her work. I enjoyed the book, but I still think Theresa forgave Jase very easily. Nonetheless, it's a good book.

4 Stars for Be With Me (audiobook) by Jennifer L. Armentrout read by Sophie Eastlake.

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough time of it. Her ballet career is on hold as she is recovering from an injury and she is having to give college a try. Then she falls in love with her brother’s best friend and his life is way more complicated than she had realized.
