There are a few books on BGP that one must have in their toolbox and this is one of them. In fact, if you are just going to by one book, this is it.

Mostly of historical significance, from the times where the global routing table was 75k entries (instead of the 1m+ now).

The first 8 chapters or so were pretty dry. But the last few chapters did have very good BGP concepts and examples of different configurations. I like how the author used Basic router names and kept using the same routers to make different configurations possible. Thanks Sam!
