In the dreamy summer heat, anything seems possible…
Twenty-seven-year-old Ryan finally sells his dating app after years of the big-city grind. With millions in his account, the future is wide open. He hits the road, searching for something he can’t quite name.
When he stops in a secluded Southern town and checks into a B&B by the river, he doesn’t plan on staying long. But the beautiful hostess Caroline makes him feel right at home.
And she’s not the only one eager to feed him. There’s Sofia next door, a gorgeous Latina who keeps finding reasons to come over.
As Ryan helps these stunning older women with their troubles—making repairs on their properties and getting to know them—he finds himself drawn deeper into their world.
Maybe he’s finally found what he’s always been looking for.
KING OF THE BLOCK is an age-gap romance for men, with multiple Love Interests, and no cheating.
There’s nothing in this book to set it apart from any of the other generic slice of life harem stories.
Well. Maybe one tiny thing.
As usual, the main character is notoriously dull. He’s good looking,(but like; in a surprising way!) super muscular and ripped with a large rooster. Cool.
But where this spectacular piece of deeply discounted beef spectacularly stupends is not with his lack lustre sex skills (they are amazing! But the sex scenes are easily skipped, boring, short, and apparently women are just good to be holes) but in his planning skills.
He dropped out of college at age 20 to make his fortune. With what?
An app! He decided. So he went and made an app. Didn’t know what it was for or who his audience was going to be. It wasn’t until years later in his 7 year journey to wealth and leisure that he decided what market he was going to go towards.
Probably should have finished the last 2 years of college, maybe they would have covered brainstorming or something.
The pages where he describes his path to riches are 2 pages of stupid douchey tech bro. Painful to read, but hey, he got his money!
Overall? I’d pass on this. Needs to be rewritten 2-3 more times with a good editor.
Also, Kilgore should maybe interact with a few women at some point.
Refreshing in a way that the MC has no superpowers and is only up against beuracracy but still unrealistic in terms of how the love interests progressed so fast....but then this is fiction fantasy.
Great storytelling. The background using a typical small town in decline and a self made entrepreneur looking for some place to leave the rat race of the city and recover from seven years of hard work. The people he finds there and the situations he finds himself in make for good reading. Can’t wait to read the next installment in this tale.
I actually don't know if this book is any good or not since I jut started reading it so ill just give it 5 stars, but I HAD to comment on something. In the beginning when she's showing him around the house and she pulls cookies out of the oven she says, "perfect, nice and crispy". All I could think was, "she must be a sociopath" lol
Soft cookies ftw

Loved how the MC, just an ordinary guy, rolls into town, starts spreading his kindness and caring, and is rewarded in kind. Sweet, wholesome, and a little bit naughty. Just how I like 'em! Ready to start reading book 2.
This is a wonderful and unique entry in this genre. A contemporary setting which is rare in this genre. Great characters and great romance. Plus I loved the older women representation.
This collaboration of authors provides the perfect blend of perspectives. Smart dialogue, searingly hot interaction , In my humble opinion, well worth your time and attention. I off to King of The Block 2
was a fun book can't wait to see where the story goes from here and how he will help save the town with out making it worse then what they are planning now
