Starts amazing and keeps going really true-feeling to the then Russia. The protagonist is a shallow guy who is not interested in much but to whom happen the must credible / incredible things, who wants to make money and disrespects human beings to the extent that there is little sympathy left for him.
It’s a brilliant description of oligarch life in Russia in the 1990s.
