Murder in the Lighthouse

Rate this book
Juggling personal issues like discovering a newfound sibling and questions about her DNA results—Lucien Sutter and Brogan Cole—seem forever destined to take on the hard-to-crack cases. Thrown into a disappearance that turns into a complex murder investigation, they need to learn how Sam Heywood ended up dead inside a locked lighthouse and if his senseless murder is connected to his sister’s disappearance just three weeks earlier. Of course, the two cases are connected. But proving it to skeptical law enforcement becomes almost an insurmountable task. As they navigate through a maze of cynics and roadblocks, they uncover a shocking connection to a serial killer from 1999. But will anyone believe them before their suspect continues adding to his victim count?

Vickie's novels have consistently appeared on Amazon’s Top 100 lists in Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense and mystery / thriller. She writes what she loves to read -- heartwarming romance laced with suspense, heart-pounding thrillers, and riveting mysteries. Vickie loves to write about compelling and down-to-earth characters in settings that stay with her readers long after they've finished her books.

She's the author of twenty novels and numerous short stories with no plans to slow down. She's looking at a busy 2017, adding a new book, Beneath Winter Sand, to her Pelican Pointe Series and releasing a fifth Skye Cree book, Truth in the Bones. Plus, she has plans to begin a brand new series, in a brand new setting. Stay tuned for updates by subscribing to her mailing list.

Vickie writes full-time. But when she does take a break from banging out the next novel, she loves to get outside. Even though hanging out at the beach is at the top of her list, there's nothing quite like a long, soul-searching walk through the woods, daylight preferred, of course.

Entertaining and Complex

While investigating the disappearance of a young woman and her brother, Brogan and Lucien discover a history of deaths and disappearances all leading back to one man. Good mystery, fun return to Pelican Pointe and reunion with previous characters, and plenty of twists. I always enjoy a good story by Vicky McKeehan! I highly recommend this book and all of hers for compelling, detailed entertainment!
