You know that stupid, age-old saying, "If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was meant to be?" Well, fuck that shit. I should have never let her go. From the moment I laid eyes on that woman, I knew she was mine.
The instant pull that I felt toward her was almost nauseating. It was a feeling I'd only felt toward one other person before. Turns out those two women are one and the same. Some call it love, but it’s more than that. It’s an obsession. Her body, her mind, the fucking scent of her perfume. Her laugh, her smile, the sounds she made as she moaned my name. Everything about her consumed my every thought, every day.
I should’ve never let her go! I should’ve left everything and run away with her. I should’ve kept her by my side at all times. I should have kept her safe.
But no, I had to listen to HIM.
"Let her go," he said. "She doesn't belong in our world." "Men in our line of work don't get the luxury of love." Blah, blah fucking blah. I swear, I should’ve never let him get inside my head. Never let him make me think I couldn't have her.
Well, look what happened. I let her go, and someone took her. They took her, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I heard her scream as she fought him. She screamed for me, and I couldn't save her. I couldn't protect her.
So, take a look. Take a good, hard fucking look. St. Petersburg is going to burn tonight. I will burn this whole fucking city to the ground until I have her back in my arms.

This book was such a wild ride, but also an amazing way to finish Ash and Jayme's story! Definitely read the trigger warnings, because some parts are not for the faint of heart. I found myself crying in more spots in this one than the previous with the amount of hell these characters were put through. But it was all worth it in the end! I'm very curious to whats to come in this world of incredible and complex characters!

Check your triggers there's a heavy amount of SA towards the beginning but mentioned again later a few times too. There's also torture on and off page throughout the book. If you're sick as me and love your romance black... you'll love this!
The storyline is dark, most the characters are dark, the scenes are hot, the love is full of obsessions and it's a rollercoaster of an emotional ride to read.
The plot had a great flow throughout, and I like that this book has a dual POV with just a MMC and FMC again... Who needs to know what that crazy pants is thinking any longer 😂 The MC's have the best kind of romance! Full of violence, torture and a sadistic side that match each other (done to others not each other) yet they have such a strong obsessive love for one another. There's primal play mixed in and mentioned several times.
I have to give a shout out to Elias, one of the best secondary characters I've ever read!! I love him in book 2 but in book 3, he's even more epic! I'm so glad he's going to get his own book too... Cannot wait for it! 😍
There's lots of praise kink and D/s lifestyle throughout... Some by the guys with no morals using degradation too. However, you also get the 'real' D/s with our MC's. Lots of "Yes Sir's" and "Good Girls" plenty of 🌶 chapters! Beautiful lady p*rn 👌🏼🥵
P.s... Being a switch is the way to be and by the end of this book, I'm sure you'll - agree it's hot both ways 😋

When I tell the chokehold this book had on me? I read the whole damn thing in a day and could 👏🏻not👏🏻 put 👏🏻it 👏🏻down. 👏🏻
This book was absolutely well written with its character development and plot (and of course spice 😮💨) I’ve always been a sucker for a tragic backstory and boy did Kalia Rose DELIVER. there were times where my jaw was on the floor, tears were shed, and shouts of joy were made. If you like dark mafia romance then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this series.

Favorite quote: “You’re dancing?” I say, shocked. I watch his eyes light up as he laughs. The sound of his laugh causes a warmth to spread across my entire body. If you thought Roll for Deception was good, hold on to your panties, ladies and gents. I said it before, but I'll say it again: There's going to be a hell of a baby boom after this releases.
This book is darker, but holy hell! The descriptions make my little black heart giddy when it comes to the good stuff. (You'll know it when you read it, and I'm not talking about the spice even though that's hot as hell too).
Kalia did it again. I was enthralled and lost SO much sleep before work because I couldn't put this book down. I'm so thankful to be on the Alpha team. Love you! ♡

Book 3 in this series and wow!
Please check TWs. This one has some heavy and dark themes. It is such a good read, it’s dark, hot and full of obsession and a true emotional rollercoaster, to say the least.
#we are back with Jayme and Ash and exploring the complicated relationship these two have, showing all the layers, the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s a compelling read, with beautiful writing, easy to follow and leaves a lasting impression.
Each book in this series so far has truly gripped me and I really connected with each character. 100% recommend. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Loved the dual point of view from both MMC & MFC. There is plenty of 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ in the book. Please make sure to check the triggers. It was such a great read very dark and an emotional roller coaster but I absolutely love the relationship with Ash and Jayme. This book had me all in my feelings.

Loved this book and can’t wait for the next. Each and every book have you gripping the edges of your chair from all the twists and turns. Definitely thought certain sections were gonna go a certain way and then you get surprised again. Absolutely recommend this book.

Kalia gets me every single time. I wanted to scream, laugh, and cry during this one. She gives sick satisfaction while also making you fear for what’s about to come. Her way with words always has me in every emotion til the end. Sexy. Vindictive. And emotional warfare, what’s not to love?

I was bowled over by Kalia's continuity from previous books, character juggling, story telling points of view, and her creativity (both in the bedroom and at the end of a knife!)
This is a banner book in the saga and finishes strong with phenomenal story telling, attention to detail, and happily ever after. A masterpiece!

Okay, this one hit me the hardest to be honest... I cried a lot with this one, it home in a lot of areas. Make sure to have tissues with you, you will need them. This book I would say is the DARKEST out of the series but if you can make it past the dark parts, I promise it will be so worth it. with this one being the darkest of the series so far, please please please read the trigger warnings, your mental health matters! This book DEFINTELY deserves 5 stars! I will be rereading this series that is for sure!

There is plenty of spice, too, which put my heart back together. Kalia has a way with words when she writes. So much description, I felt like I was in the book as a character.
Please, read this series in order of the books. You will not be disappointed!
