Twinverse Duet #1

Dubious Match

Rate this book
My job is to help others find love. Biology, scent matches, or falling slowly into love, it doesn’t matter as long people make meaningful connections on their dates.

The best way to piss me off is to mess with love by twisting it. Emilia Richardson is holding the promise of love over impressionable young omegas, and I refuse to let that happen.

Just because I can’t ever fall in love doesn’t mean I can’t fight for it, right?

This is Hollis Edwards story, where love will take the wheel and surprise you.

I’ve read a lot of Jenn’s series. This one I’ve followed from the first book and I like them. I enjoy how they are all entwined, all the characters are deeply embedded in each others lives. I was excited for this book, but I’m less than an hour from finishing it and I’m scratching my head like what did I just read?

So what I recall of Hollis from the other books she was very down to earth. The Hollis depicted in this one is very full of herself. For instance her initial meeting with her pack, she’s boasting about how tough she is, she’s got mafia ties, licking her knife to scare away kids walking down the street… the entire scene was just eww. But when the stuff hits the fan she’s really not as bad butt as she keeps telling people she is. She fights back a bit but the whole “I can take care of myself” schtick really missed the mark with me. I get it she’s attached twice by guys that are bigger than her, so stop telling everyone you can take care of yourself when everyone knows you clearly cannot defend yourself against that!

And way to fall into a pack seconds after meeting them even though you’ve told yourself and everyone else how you’re a confirmed bachelorette for life.

Also, I would have made the description of the second book more subtle instead of basically putting who the lost sister is. A few chapters in I read the description for the next book and it confirmed what I suspected.

I guess I could let all that slide, except the ending really put me off. No it’s not because of the cliffy, I’m an avid reader and encounter these daily. Nova has literally been around most of Hollis’ friends and her pack has known Nova the longest since they are renting her a tiny home, and no one can see the similarities except Caleb? Or was it Lars?? One of them. And they only can see that Hollis and Nova have the same eyes. So because of all that I’m thinking not all twins are identical. Cool, maybe there will be dna tests and other things that will bring the connection to light. I can deal with that. Makes sense.

What does NOT make sense, Hollis being mistaken for Nova and kidnapped by her “father”. A person that has looked at Nova her entire life. And he mistakes Hollis as Nova, but none of her friends, her pack, no one has thought “Hm Nova looks like someone I know…” that’s what really put a bad taste in my mouth.

I get these are fantasy, but the contradictions and storylines that just don’t make sense are off putting.

And shall we not forget about Emilia Richardson… is it just me or does she scream Beta energy? And what’s going on with the incriminating emails about the omega auctions? Are we just acting like that didn’t happen? And for another thing, Hollis is embedded in the mafia. Emilia is also in another mafia. Last I heard (and it’s outlined in another of the books in this series) you can’t make moves against another family (or your own) without permission. So what’s the Irish mob doing about Emilia’s “family” coming for one of their own? Seems to me like there needs to be a sit down with the heads of the two families and Emilia needs to get a good spanking from hers.

I will read Novas book because I’ve got to see how the various plots are tied up. And so help me I hope they are because if Emilia keeps slipping through the cracks I’m going to lose it!

Sorry so windy, sorry for all the frustration, I really do enjoy Jenn’s books, but this one had me screaming WHAT!!

Ok, off to find another great book! Happy reading friends!

Incredibly boring book with tons of dialogue while all the characters went about their mundane lives. I really didn't need to read about every single thing the fmc did during the work day. Dnf.

Ahhh our ‘Tiny Pixie’ really knows how to get the bloød boiling and the stress levels to rise!!! Her books can ended on such a víciøus cliffhanger and this book is definitely in that category, however I can’t stop the tørture as her books are utterly awesome in every way possible!!

I love Hollis and her tough take no sħít nature and her alphas are just scrummy in every way. The story line was brilliant as they come together as a pack, I especially love Omegaverse stories when the men fall hard and fast but need to coax their omega along, just love it!

The pace is perfect, content enthralling and intriguing and I absolutely can’t wait to get stuck into Lost!
The twist of having little snippets of Nova (Hollis’s Sister) is interesting and unique, setting you up for book two in the duet perfectly.

The fact this book is jam packed full of characters from the Unhingedverse series was wonderful. 😍 (you don’t need to read any of the series however to enjoy this duet)

I can’t recommend Jenn’s books highly enough and this one is…Chefs Kiss!!! 😘

PS Jenn - when is someone going to see to Emilia 🩸🔪
I need it to happen???

Hollis is an omega who walking away from her parents 10 years ago, escaping their views of how her life should be led. She now runs a highly successful dating agency called Cupids Call. She remains connected to her Mafia ties however, helping when they need her. Hollis is also using her excellent hacker abilities to search for her lost twin sister Maree and her best friend, Lars & Caleb’s missing sister Alisa.

Hollis is content with her life, loving her job of connecting compatible packs, alphas and omegas. However there is a hole she feels with the loss of her twin. She can’t let herself be happy, how can she when she has no idea what hell her twin is going through! However all that could change when she comes into contact with her scent matched?

Pack Ledger - Malcolm, Remy, Brice & Felix are all set in their ways, dedicated to their company ‘The Naughty Tote’ and each other, they certainly don’t need a ballsy omega who hands them an invite to a “mixer”!! Who needs an Omega upsetting their lives!

In the guise of telling Hollis to keep her cold calling invite and to also see if they can donate their toys to her mixer. Their brutish meeting doesn’t go well, which as it goes isn’t good!

They’ve just meet their scent matched and all their lives are going to change!

We also meet Nova, a very skittish midwife omega. She’s on the run from her abusive father, moving as often as she needs every time he gets close. This time she’s landed in Minneapolis, staying in a lovely tiny house within the grounds of Pack Ledgers house. She normally sleeps in her van, so it’s a wonderful change for her. She’s now looking after a pregnant Adira, Quinn & Katee.

However things are getting weird, she feels a strange connection towards another Omega, whose scent stirs a distant memory and there are two male alphas that she can’t shake, which just confuse her. She stressed, tired and frightened, however when Lars & Caleb tell her she could have a twin sister things could be about to improve? Or could they??

LOVE Hollis and her amazing story. She is such a fierce and incredible character. Her unwavering commitment to locating her sister and her career are both admirable …but her amazing self defense skills are next level. She goes on one heck of an adventure and learns to let people in. Love this book and you will want to preorder book two, it’s phenomenal!

Ok, I just want to start by saying that I did not heavily read many of Jenn's works prior to this year but let me tell you, I wish I had! This may possibly be one of her best works that I have read thus far. One of the things that I love about Jenn's writing outside of the character development and relationships that she develops is that there is always something in her stories that is a continuing arc from a different story and she crafts those arcs in such a way that you don't feel like she is missing something or changing something just because it is a new story. I really despise Emilia Richardson and now having seen her so called "work" across a couple of different books really gives me a great appreciation for how Jenn crafts her MC's to stand up against those preachings.

One of the other things that I love about Jenn's writings is that she writes some really strong and witty FMC's- women who are tough, can stand on their own and fight back when necessary and yet still find their HEA in the end. I love reading about that because as a woman who is more of a bull in a China shop, it gives me hope for my own future and HEA. I loved that we got to see dual POV's from Hollis and Nova (also loved the name Hollis because outside of my Aunt, I have never heard that name being used in the wild before and made me smile each time I read it) and you really got to see each of the twins individually and how their upbringings (can't say more without spoilers) really shaped who they were and how they made their lives from it.

I also really enjoyed the boys, which I was skeptical about in the beginning because their first interaction with Hollis left much to be desired. As time went on, they really grew on me and without a doubt my favorites are Malcom and Remy. Something about those two made me swoon (moreso than the rest of the pack). I expected this to end on a cliffhanger but was unemotionally prepared for the level of WTF I felt at the end and I, for one, am so grateful that book 2 is not months away because I don't know how I could survive if I had to wait long to see how this duet will wrap up.

This book is about omega twins, separated when they were babies, one is in the dark and the other constantly searching for her. This book is about accepting that we deserve more than we think we do, about finding love and persevering, about never stopping to fighting for what you want or believe in.

This book is the first part of a duet and will have a cliffhanger!

This book made me so happy, it’s perfectly dark, one of our FMCs has gone through hell and come out better the other side, she’s a survivor, she takes her pain and turns it into something beautiful and through her we get to reunite with some of our favourite characters from the Unhingedverse. Our other FMC is a self proclaimed fixer, but I like to think of her as a champion, a fighter, someone who stands up for what is right even when doing so can technically be wrong or may put her in harms way. She is a badass.. they both are!

This was truly marvellous, a book filled with joy, pain, rage and love. I haven’t really mentioned the alphas though, mainly because I don’t want to give anything away, they deserve a dramatic entrance! But rest assured, they are worthy of the omegas they are destined for!

I would recommend this duet to anyone who enjoys a bit of revenge, to anyone who loves a bit of drama with their spice. To anyone who enjoys a dark omegaverse!

And finally my favourite quotes.

“I tore this off Remy’s body. A hysterical giggle bubbles up inside of me, and I press the article of clothing against my mouth to stifle it.”

“Love is being accepting of everyone,”

“You’re not making sense,” he sighs. “I can’t handle two hysterical people. There’s not enough lemon squares in the world for that.”

This duet is Hollis and her missing twin’s story and I was so excited to find out more about Hollis. This is a Jenn Bullard book so…it’s going to get rough, things are going to go sideways and if you throw your kindle - pro tip - make sure to surround yourself with pillows first….

I really enjoyed this book! I had no idea Hollis was such a badass! She is smart and independent and oh so stabby. My heart broke for her and her quest to find her missing twin. When she finds her scent matches…well let’s just say it doesn’t go well.

We also meet Nova who is a traveling midwife. She is very independent and secretive about her past. She has a beautiful heart…and a connection to area she can’t quite explain…

I LOVED the found family trope in this book! We get some great cameos and see some deeper friendships forming and I couldn’t get enough of it.

📲So we might just get a certain super villain’s phone number in this book…and yes, if you text her she will answer!!

Ok yes, this does end on a cliffhanger but the next book is right around the corner! I highly recommend read this now so you have a little time to digest it before book 2 is released!!!

⚠️Hard Stop - check the content warnings (if you have TWs) before starting this book.

Dubious match by Jenn Bullard Book 1 in Twinverse duet
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶🌶💀💀💀
What a roller-coaster read. A favourite character from the Unhingedverse gets her pack and finds her long lost twin sister. But things aren't quite as simple. Making a deal with her childhood best friends, she agrees to give Pack Ledger a chance. These Alphas make the worst first impression even thought they carry a gift bag full of smexy toys from their company. However Emilia is doing everything possible to discredit Hollis and her mixer shes planning. Computer hacking, knife wielding omega faces all of this with sass and smex. Gotta love Hollis. Unputdownable, and the answers are right there for the taking but drama unfolds. Big cliffhanger!! Be prepared, lucky release day for both books are close together. Please note the triggers. Understand this is a dark Omegaverse.
Trope:
Triggers. Forced Proximity. Knots. Heats. Bi erasure. Exhibitionism. Groveling. Pregnancy. Midwifery. MM. Found family. FMC unaliver.
Quotes:
“You should be proud of the way you move through the world, Hollis. The reason people pay attention to you when you speak is due to your energy. It’s like the very universe knows you’re about to say something important.”

“The four of you are overwhelming, though not in a bad way. My mind just goes straight into the gutter around you,” I say. “Everything just sounds really dirty.”

“There’s a goddamn gun strapped to her thigh,” he grunts. “I wasn’t expecting to cuddle up to G.I. Jane.”

This is absolutely my favorite book by Jenn Bullard. There is so much that I love about it, I don't even know where to start! The book is told in the POV of multiple people, but mostly Hollis and Nova. Hollis and Nova are twins that were separated at birth, but there's so much more to the story than that. We get to see them living their own separate lives, and I wasn't sure how I was going to like it when I first realized that. But let me tell you.. it's freaking AMAZING. I absolutely love it!
I wanted to throat p*nch the guys when Hollis first meets them. They came at her with their noses in the air like they were freaking royalty or something but being the total bad@ss that she is, she put them in their place, and it was beautiful. I love Hollis' relationship with Lars and Caleb. They're best friends, and I love their banter.
Nova seems a bit shyer and more reserved than Hollis. She's a midwife and happens to interact with a couple other packs we've met before (if you've read the other books in this world).

I don't want to give anything away but let me just say that my jaw legitimately dropped open on multiple occasions. The way Jenn brings everything together is mind-boggling. Also, this one ends on a cliffhanger. I mean, it's the first book in a duet written by Jenn Bullard, so did you really expect anything else?

THAT ENDING😭😭😭 WE WERE SO CLOSE

I enjoyed this one a lot. I've been waiting for Hollis book since she was first introduced and I am not disappointed. She is such a b@da$s. She fights for what she believes and doesn't let anyone scare her or threaten her.

Shes been suffering and punishing herself for the disappearance of her twin sister basically her entire life. Meeting the guys was the best thing tht could have happened to her. They showed her that she does deserve to live, to be happy and to be loved.

They didnt have the best first meeting but they made up for it. They knew they made a mistake and fixed it. Whether it was sending her food to make sure she eats or her favorite flowers or making sure she's safe they never hesitated when it came to showing her how much they like her.
I found the guys all really sweet. I liker the relationship she had with her. They also had really good chemistry.

They all have parent issues 😭😭😭 The guys had each other and Hollis had her friends. Loveeee that friendship she had with her. I've loved Lars and Caleb since the moment they showed up in another book and i can't wait to read their story.
There's another character that it should mention but im not without spoiling 😭😭.

Now I gotta hope my work day is slow cause i NEED to read the next book.

Are you ready to enter the Twinverse?

This story was centered around Hollis, and the next book in the Twinverse Lost will be Nova's book ( Read & Loved review to follow). Both books are masterfully interconnected in the Twinverse, with both twins’ stories concurrently being told, such a noteworthy approach.

I really enjoy it when authors include an overlap of characters from previous books, and we got treated to a whole lot from the Unhingedverse. If you have not read them, I highly recommend reading them first.

I friggen LOVE Hollis. Her take no shit attitude done with such class and sass is justified by the path that's she been on.

"My fingers itch to stab the fucker, but I try only to draw my weapons if I need to defend myself or kill them." Hollis

With out giving away spoilers all I can say is buckle up butter cup this is going to be one fantastic ride.

The blurb for this duet is what drew me to it, yet, it was misleading.

This is not what I would consider a dark romance. Definitely a mafia romance and all that entails…murder and kidnapping, etc. The references to past abuse are vague and easily misunderstood.

The author added characters without any context or background. I’m still confused about who some of them are and how they relate to each MC.

The writing is repetitive in some ways, which makes it difficult to concentrate because I have to reread sentences to understand. There are also inconsistencies like is Hollis a fixer or an enforcer for the mafia? Things like that are mixed up.

No explanation about bonds and how they work (being able to read each others thoughts). The way Hollis went from not wanting a pack, to bonding was unbelievable. There was barely a discussion about bonding and then bam! They are bonded.

Even the title is misleading and doesn’t really go with the actual book.

It’s a good storyline and that’s why I finished it.
I will read the second book, but I am not sure if I will finish it.

Dubious Match By Jenn Bullard ARC Review

Hollis, built herself up from nothing and she worked hard to get there I liked how she handled situations and how she came to meeting the guys the storyline was written very well and left me wanting more. The plot twists kept me wanting more I can’t wait to read the second book in the duet.

I thought all she suffered while being in the Mafia world she earned to be where she was today I thought she was a powerful, and intelligent female main character their always my favourite I kept liking character more and more each part of her chapters.

Remy, was a hard working man I was glad he had his best friends in a pack the mm was written beautifully along with the other characters the chemistry streaming between each other was amazing I love mm written in a story this is what kept me wanting more of the characters.

I knew they never wanted a relationship in the first place but once they met Hollis, everything changed and their feelings did. I think she was a deserving character they all were to get to where they were today.

SO EXCITED FOR LOST!!!!

Jenn Bullard is the master of the Omegaverse! "Dubious Match" has everything I want and need in a romance and Omegaverse novel. The spice was so hot and delicious, the characters were deep and complex, the universe was fully fleshed out and grows with each interconnected standalone book or duet. I enjoyed seeing other characters from previous books again in this narrative. The women are strong, intelligent, capable, and interesting, which I love!!!

I really enjoyed how Bullard plays with the POVs and builds on the Twin & Duet themes. I cannot say more without spoilers. But what an interesting and innovative way to connect the stories and the duet.

I really appreciated Bullard's accurate representation of a real migraine and its debilitating effects. She knows what she is talking about and does a fantastic job of representing it.

That cliffhanger is brutal! I am so glad I can immediately dive into book 2, "Lost". I absolutely recommend that you do too!

Hollis Edwards has one job—helping others find love. Whether it’s guided by biology, scent matches, or slow-burn connections, Hollis believes in creating meaningful relationships. But when Emilia Richardson starts dangling the idea of love in front of vulnerable young omegas for her own gain, Hollis can’t stand by and watch. Even if Hollis can’t fall in love themself, they can still fight for it.

This book took me for a ride—full of emotional twists, protective instincts, and moments that made my heart ache in the best way. I’ll be honest, some of the scent matches definitely made me want to punch them at times, but I’m glad things worked out fast so the story could focus on the deeper connection. Hollis’s journey is both heartfelt and unexpected, and watching them get blindsided by the very thing they thought they’d never have was so satisfying.

And Nova—oh, I’m so excited to get her story in the next book. If you love protective protagonists, a dash of romantic surprise, and characters who will fight for love in all its forms, this is one to add to your list.

Wholly. Wow. Amazing. I whizzed through this book. I absolutely love love love this duet. The first book is about Hollis and her pack (Pack Ledger). Pack Ledger is Hollis’s scent match. Hollis didn’t really care about getting a pack as she has been looking for her twin sister who was kidnapped when they were infants. Years later she never forgot her sister. Her other half is missing and she feels it in her soul. Pack Ledger wears Hollis down and eventually she gives them a chance. They absolutely adore her and love how independent and what a spit fire she is. They treat her like the Queen that she is. Lots of twist and turns in Dubious Match. Dark romance. Spicy scenes. Amazing characters. Trauma. Everything I love in a book. The best part is you don’t have to wait long for the second book of the duet. That cliffy was just brutal. Lost is coming out within a couple of weeks after Dubious Match. So excited for that. Another amazing book by Jenn Bullard. Kudos to Jenn Bullard!!!

Dear Almighty Hitachi,

We come to you today not with reverence, but with cracked device screens, tangled charging cords, a spiritual exhaustion only induced by Therapy Chair Chats (IYKYK) and monster cliffhangers. We are raw. We are feral. We are out of gummy bears and our emotional support writing peen has officially left the building.

We ask, no, we beg, that the spreader bars be sturdy, the straps pre-adjusted, and the batteries fully charged. Let the toys be waterproof, the lube never run dry, and the neighbors never ask questions.

Deliver unto us a browser history too cursed for mere mortal eyes, and the mental stamina to withstand the incoming chaos that the Tiny Pixie, in all her devious glory, is preparing to rain down like sour candy dust from hell.

In the name of Adam & Eve, Eveready, and fuzzy pink bunnies that keep going & going & going & going & going ……

Welcome to #JBVA. Don’t fret: this will all make sense once you meet Pack Ledger.

Mind those TWs!

Oh my goodness what a ride

We know Hollis from the unhinged verse and this continues the story.

Hollis begins her journey a lone omega trying to make the world better for other omegas while having no inclination to push for a hea for herself.

A chance encounter and suddenly she has her four scent mated pack and boy are these ones good. Beautifully written characters who live for their pack and now Hollis

There story is a lovely romantic awakening that just falls into place. The spice is spicing too.

Running along this is her long lost sisters story. A midwife with a scary past that we get glimpses of her story which does nothing to distract from Hollis.

Ends on a huge cliffy you see coming but like a deer in headlines you are unable to stop.

Can’t wait to get stuck into book 2. A 5* star read for me

Time for Hollis to shine and she does. Hollis has been one of those pillar characters that has supported all the other fmcs and mmcs while they got their happy ever afters. I had kinda hoped for her and Cian, but no, she gets an absolutely brilliant pack of her own, slightly unhinged, really funny and they love sex in all its forms. I loved them and they all love each other ⚔️
Once Hollis is persuaded by Caleb and Lars to put her own happiness first for once, then things go well, until they don’t! And Hollis doesn’t come out unscathed from all of this.
There is lots of unresolved trauma and questions from Hollis’s past, and the ending was evil, yes Tiny Pixie woman, I’m looking at you!
And finally, the guys families, it was only one long scene over brunch, but when you get there, I hope you cackle like I did. And then want to mildly maim the participants.

Dubious Match is book one of the Twinverse Duet.

Jenn sure knows how to write these nail biting endings. This duet is written about two characters simultaneously.

Hollis is a fierce individual. She does everything she can to protect the lives and rights of omegas, but there are those trying to stop her. Along the way, she meets her scent matches. She goes through a lot of emotions, but we do start to see her become more accepting of the pack. And then we get that ending which may impact how their pack is going to cope in the next book.

Throughout the story we meet Nova, and get to see a bit more into her character. She finds her scents matches but she is wary about a lot of things. She is hiding from something, but we don't fully know everything involved with her story. We just get a sneak peek into some things and will be delving more into her in the next book.

Dubious Match is the first book in the Twinverse Duet written by Jenn Bullard.

💜 omegaverse
💜 matchmaking
💜 scent matches
💜 mysteries
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Hollis is determined to live life on her own terms. So at eighteen, she set out on her own with little to her name and $80 in her pocket. Now she’s a successful business owner doing what she loves, helping people find their match. Now, she’s trying to put together her first mixer. Will it be a success? Will everything come together like it should? Will there be enough people sign up to attend?

This is a good addition to this universe. I’m so happy Hollis gets her own story being told. Do you have to read the other stories before this one? No. But you should go and read them all is it helps so much with world building, character building, and understanding the depth in what is happening in this world. This book does end on a cliffhanger as it is book one of two and I can’t wait to read the next one to see what happens!

Following twins separated long ago

Hollis has spent a very long time searching for her lost twin. She is a very strong Omega who can defend herself. Her parents are terrible and so she left home at 18. Since then she has made herself quite successful.

Nova has been running from her family. She is a mobile midwife. She has lived in her van but now has a guest house she stays at where she is safe.

Seeing both girls lives simultaneously is really interesting. While this story definitely focused more on Hollis it made sense since she knew she was looking for a twin and Nova didn't.

There are so many moving parts and I think we will start finding more overlap between the girls in Lost. I can't wait to see these two reunited. I also want to see how Nova deals with the scent matches she has and doesn't even realize yet.

Good start can’t wait for next!

I was excited to get the first book of the duet. I absolutely love Jenn’s writing and this one was another hit for me! It does have some dark elements so please make sure to check TW. I really enjoyed this first book in the duet, it was so good. It was packed with a lot of things and had steam, but it was worth every minute reading.

Hollis is such a character, I loved her! She is independent and very protective of those she cherishes. There were times with the pack I was laughing but also sad and emotional. Jenn knows how to pull at my heartstrings in all directions. I really loved getting to know the pack as well as Hollis.

Over, I really loved this first book and I am looking forward to part two! I can’t wait! I highly recommend if you love dark omegaverse.

So if you haven’t read a Jenn Bullard book before and this one is your first then you’re in for a treat. This duet is about Hollis and her missing twin’s story and I was extremely excited to find out more about Hollis and the missing twin. This is a Jenn Bullard book so…buckle up butter cup because it’s definitely going to get rather rough, things are going to go sideways and if you throw your kindle just make sure it’s not against the wall or anything learned that the hard way.

I really enjoyed this book! I had no idea Hollis was such a baddie! She is totally smart and very independent and oh so stabby. My heart broke for her and her quest to find her missing twin. When she finds her scent matches…well let’s just say it doesn’t go well. But I won’t give anything away I want you all to be totally surprised. So please add this to your tbr you won’t be disappointed.

Why choose
Found family
MM
Multiple POVs

Hollis is an omega and has a mafia family and wants things done her way.
She sets up a dating agency for Omegas called Cupid’s Call. She still has connections in the Mafia world as a hacker using via the dark web trying to find her friends Lars and Caleb’s sister Alisa who has been missing.
She wants to do a ‘mixer’ which gets packs together to find their own omega.
Her twin sister (Maree) got taken when they were babies and she’s been trying to find her.
She meets Pack Ledger - Remy, Felix, Malcolm & Brice. They have a company The Naughty Tote that sells sex toys to omegas.

We meet Nova who is a midwife for omegas. Who is she? What part of this story is she?

Love the story and the characters. And always Jenn’s books always ends on a cliffhanger.

This is the first book in the Twinverse duet. Jenn Bullard is an amazing author and I love her books. So I was doubly excited to see this newest release. Come and join me in the Jenn-verse…
This book is so amazing. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the details of what makes this book amazing since that would include “spoilers” and I do not like to post them in my reviews. The characters are amazing and we also see some familiar faces from her other book series. The backstories are traumatic, sad and heartbreaking. The twists in the book will have your head swinging band forth like you're watching a tennis game. The story just pulls you in and the ending…WTF!!
Thank you, Jenn Bullard, for another amazing duet. I cannot wait to read the second and last book in this duet. I need to know what happens!! I will be on pins and needles waiting for the final book to be released!

Twinverse….

First off, warning, the cliffhanger on this one is just cruel, but if you have read Jenn’s books, you know this is par for the course.

Triggers and content warnings abound so be aware.

Rollercoaster ride this one was, two women, worlds apart, two paths in life, but could they be connected in the most basic of ways.

I always love seeing our characters from the other books, and this one doesn’t disappoint in the least! Babies are coming, joining the ranks to hopefully grow and thrive in future stories.

I am waiting for the next part of this duet with bated breath. Hollis is a rockstar matchmaker and I know she’ll get through what’s coming.

I hope we get more background story to what happened those many years ago and why…

Also I can’t wait for a certain woman to get what’s coming to her… in spades.

4.5⭐️

Wow! This was an absolute page turner. Jenn has such a way with words and this story engages you from page one and keeps you in a chokehold til the devastating end. We previously met Hollis in the Unhingedverse; and while this duet is set in the same world, the emotional impact and stakes will be much more nuanced if you’re up to date on what’s happening during original series.

I adored the Hollis we met in previous stories but we do not learn the extent of her importance until now. She has become a source of strength and support within the Minneapolis community through her intuition of suitable matches for connection and her incredible hacking skills. Hollis has cultivated her own success but it’s been at the cost of her own happiness.

Throughout this story we come to learn that despite this omega’s strength and fierce spirit, is an abject loneliness that plagues her. The kidnapping of her twin as infants has left her bereft and unable to invest in her own future until she has answers. Her focus is finding her sister and other lost souls, while helping those around her find their own happiness.

She is, therefore, knocked for six when she unexpectedly meets her scent matches in a rather unfortunate way. This book is about Hollis’ journey to her deservedly happy ending, while also navigating
the greater dangers stirring in the larger plot.

This book is an absolute rollercoaster of violence, heartache, and redemption. It will warm you as surely as it will break you and it leaves you with the most epic of gut punches. (Thankfully, the wait for answers will not be prolonged!)

I cannot recommend Jenn’s stories enough and urge you to take a chance on Hollis when her story drops on August 5th. As always, please check content warnings because a certain tiny pixie loves to eviscerate you in the most heinous of ways.

Another fabulous book from Jenn! "Dubious Match" gives us Hollis's very anticipated story, and I'm so glad it finally arrived!! I loved that we got Hollis story and what has shaped her and when her scent matched Alphas blow into the scene, prepare for delightful chaos!! This book hits every single emotional note—the Alphas foolishness (so fun to watch), their entertaining groveling, and their unwavering protectiveness of Hollis. Watching their love story unfold gave me all the feels. The bond between Hollis, Lars, and Caleb was an unexpected delight, and spotting familiar faces from previous books as always is a treat. And Nova's story? I'm already on the edge of my seat! This was a seriously good read that I couldn't put down!!
