Months ago Raven achieved the impossible. She escaped the Church. Except, she never really did. Even deep within the Lycan's impenetrable border, her father has found her. There was never a chance she'd escape. Not from the nightmare who raised her, or the bitter God who's come to collect on the deal she broke by falling in love.
The writing was flawless and masterful (as usual). The story's world is engaging. The protagonists are authentic and almost seem as if they were written by three separate people versus one author behind all their voices. I don't mind the mfm/whatever. I do fear that we are being set up for Abigail to enter the relationship somehow, and that's not okay with me. All the talking about still being attracted to her and potentially setting off her heat etc really grosses me out, and I live for dark romance/dubcon/noncon but this is not it! Please, don't do this to us. I cannot read a book where the OW becomes part of the ship, nope. I am really hoping this is not what's happening, this bitch just needs to die. I was surprised that books 3 and 4 were already out within a few months of each other as I thought I'd have to wait a year between each like 1&2. I'll have to check in with the series more often for sure. If we still have three books to go, I'm just worried there'll be a deterrent like the one mentioned above that will make me stop reading the series, when this is one of the best I've read in years!
