Yours Mine Ours

In so many families there is a ‘yours’ and a ‘mine’ scenario. Your children. My children. And sometimes ‘ours’. Dawn and Dutch had both had it rough. Their partners had both moved on. Leaving them both thinking that they were pretty useless. In everything including the bedroom duties. Which really was not the case. It was a Sunday afternoon when Dawn had taken her family out to lunch that she met Dutch. Dutch was with his family doing the karaoke. At a little pub come restaurant. Dawn became the star performer but soon had to run off. Soon enough Dutch and Dawn started dating. They weren’t youngsters. But the feelings coursing through their bodies were both new and strange. They hadn’t lived their lives when they should have. They had one tiny little tiff which provoked the little jealous monster. But it soon blew over. Dutch’ family soon became Dawn’s. Dawn’s family admired Dutch. It ended up as ours. A chuckle awaits you! Enjoy!

Bridgitte Lesley's "Yours Mine Ours" is a cute little romance story.

Dawn and Dutch are two people who had long ago left the world of romance behind, focusing instead on their children from previous relationships, careers and hobbies. But when these two meet their worlds are brought together in a way that is so perfect, it reminds one of a fairytale.

The characters are very sweet, the relationship charming and the entire work has a feelgood tinge to it. This is the perfect book for someone who wants a reminder that there is always more time for romance and room for love.

When a book begins with a whoosh the way this one does, I am hooked! From the very first page you are introduced to each of the different characters. It begins with a lively atmosphere and the expectation is set. I so badly wanted the two main characters to become an item. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I loved the fast pace at which the book flowed. At times I had a good laugh. This book is well written and most definitely a must read! Dutch and Dawn have become my favourites! This book gets my approval and recommendation!

Personally, I think this title applies to so many families. When there are two families that mesh as one there generally is a yours and a mine. But not with Dutch and Dawn. Their families became one and ‘ours’ was key. Dawn is such a strong character. I loved her to bits! I thoroughly enjoyed the explanations of their past experience – sexually. I am sure you will laugh as much as I did. There are so many situations in this book that you will be nodding away and agreeing. Some are very true to life. I didn’t mention Dutch. I loved him to bits too! This book was a sure fire hit!
