Mais um livro de passatempos, e este sim ficou aprovado. A história apresenta uma espécie de policial que vai sendo narrado, enquanto surgem vários tipos de enigmas ligados ao que está a acontecer, permitindo resolver diferentes situações ao longo da leitura.

Há uma boa variedade de desafios, desde encontrar diferenças e traçar caminhos até descobrir a posição de objetos ou personagens. Nem todos são diretos ou fáceis, mas tornaram a experiência mais divertida e envolvente.

Enjoyed nutting out all the puzzles and figuring out whodunit. I surprised myself with my puzzle solving ability especially the math-based problems. I found the final puzzle the trickiest. I had not heard of one of the words or its meaning before today. A lot of fun with all the club-members, red herrings and suspicious characters lurking within what only seemed to be a quaint little village.

I enjoy these puzzle/mystery books so much! I’m challenged but I’m not so frustrated I can’t finish the puzzle even if they may take me a day or two.

I love most books by Laura Jayne Ayres and Dr Gareth Moore, but this series is not doing it for me. The puzzles are too repetitive for my attention span, sadly. The story is nice, as always, but they lost me with the puzzles.

I loved the first book in this series and was so excited to get the newest one. I enjoy logic puzzles and this book was filled with traditional logic puzzles along with other deduction type puzzles. The map-drawing puzzles were my least favorite, but I love all the others.

This isn't just a puzzle book. As an avid mystery reader, I love that the book also includes a cozy mystery with the puzzles fitting the story. The premise of the book is a group of puzzle-loving friends work together to solve a mystery. This book has a few different crimes and the various puzzles give the characters in the story and the reader clues to solving it. I had several days of fun reading this story and solving the puzzles. The ending seems to hint that there will be another book in the series - I hope so!
