The imagination that goes into the animal creation is the best part of this series.

We learn more about Vorn and the history of the island with each book.
At the beginning of this book, I thought this would be a trilogy and this was the end, but I am happy that my assumption appears to be wrong.
I look forward to reading more Sorceline books and discovering more about the island, the history, the creatures, and the apprentices.

2.5 my least favorite volume in this series so far,
The only thing I really like about this is that Vorn, their enemy, is their teacher, that intrigues me a little bit, but other than that, it's kind of boring, not sure what to make of that cliffhanger...
