A short and sweet book. My brother bought it from Barnes and Noble, and I decided to pick it up. It was pretty funny at parts with a good plot, but pretty short you can tell it's for younger kids.
4.89136 stars ALERT SPOILERS AHEAD So in my humble opinion this book was amazing! I have been following this series for so long and by book shelf has all 8 books and the spin off series. (2 books) I also reread them to many times to count so... Also please enjoy this 4 paragraph essay. So previously he was a wimpy villager who wanted to be a warrior. The mayor said they would have 5 warriors at the end of the year. However, it got very intense because Herobrine was in control of the mobs and made them work together. So they let everyone be warriors and Runt along with Breeze and a couple others go to get an Aeon Forge and learn that they have to go to the capital city to get proper schooling and learn magical abilities and spells. They go to school there and find a monster that is level 1. Meaning it is really easy to defeat right? Wrong! Herobrine gave it a lot of Buffs. In Runts words, "It's like enchanting a wooden sword." However he realizes that he only drops 1 XP! Meaning he could never get XP. So this sets up our next book. Runt is fighting and Emerald cast a spell. This spell did a lot of damage because they had no magical defense. Runt uses this to his advantage. He buys a gold sword (which is easier to enchant) and puts flametongue (does a 1/4 of a heart of damage) a long with the same thing for ice and for lightning. However, this takes all his emeralds but he thinks it's worth it until his word breaks (because it's gold). He takes out a loan of 15000 some emeralds on a better sword. (Same enchantments but better given to him by the king because she thought it was a good idea) Then Herobrine's 2nd in command sacrifices himself to kill all the people who came from earth to Atheria in desperation to save Atheria. This book was good but it took so long to come out and I don't think I could ask for a better book. I love the humor and the plot. He makes jokes like when he was in a waffle eating contest, "The real treasure is how many waffles you ate a long the way."(See why I like it) So in summary play Minecraft and read Diary of an 8-bit warrior.
My son has read all of this series so many times. He decided to buy this new one, and they accidentally shipped it to us twice. So I read the second copy! It had a good summary of the story so far at the front. Some parts were more technical than I enjoyed, as I don’t play Minecraft, but the story was good and easy to follow, and ended with enough of a cliffhanger that I’ll probably read the next one!
