I'm a Sunday Times and international bestselling author and screenwriter.

I write topical, thought-provoking novels that aim to entertain, and I love lived research, so the events in my books are often inspired by real events.

Before I became a professional writer I was a strategy consultant and advised global businesses in a variety of sectors. I co-founded Capital Crime and am now on the advisory board. I'm also on the board of ITW. I enjoy rock climbing, skiing, sailing and competitive shooting.

I live in Mauritius with my wife and our three children.

Dark, gripping, and utterly unputdownable. Deadbeat is a razor-sharp psychological thriller that dives deep into the mind of a man on the edge.

Peyton Collard is a haunting, complex protagonist who is flawed, broken, and strangely sympathetic. When he’s offered money to kill evil men, the moral line blurs fast, and I was hooked from the first page. Adam Hamdy crafts this story with precision, building suspense while exploring themes of justice, grief, and redemption.

The writing is tight, the pacing relentless, and the emotional weight behind the action scenes gives this thriller unexpected depth. If you're looking for something that’s both heart-pounding and thought-provoking, Deadbeat delivers.

Highly recommend to fans of Gillian Flynn, Tana French, or anyone who likes their thrillers with a psychological edge.
