Fun book, more for beginners rather than seasoned fanatics. Still enjoyable for the Disneyland fan.

Over my lifetime, I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count. Since I live on the west coast, Disneyland is my home park and is most familiar to me. I have read many books and watched many shows about Disneyland, so a great deal of this information was comprised of things I already knew.

However, if you're only a casual fan or even a superfan who just wants to read more about Disneyland, this is a comprehensive look at its history and moving through time to show the evolution of what the park is today and what the plans are for the future. There are also tons of recommendations for how to navigate the parks, which restaurants to try and which foods to try.

The quizzes and trivia are fun and you can test your most astute Disneyland fan with them. The authors are true Disneyland aficionados and you can feel their enthusiasm pouring from the pages.

I highly recommend this book for the Disney lovers in your life and it would make a fantastic holiday gift.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

Such a fun review that taught me tons of new things about Disneyland! I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable on the park, but wow, did I learn a lot I didn’t know! Loved the format it was in, as it made it easy and engaging to read, and I highly recommend for any Disney fan who wants a fun read, or anyone who wants to learn more about the history of this park!

Informative. A few minor errors. As an avid Disneyland attendee, I still learned a few things I didn’t know. Worth the read if you plan to go to Disneyland. Would have liked better reviews of food and snacks.

After reading through this book, I can tell you that it is definitely geared to those who do not know much about Disneyland (just the Park and not the Resort hotels/California Adventure Park/Downtown Disney) and would enjoy a fun read about it. Those more knowledgeable about Disneyland will likely appreciate the love that's gone into the book but will probably already know most of what's said. As such, this is the perfect book for newer/occasional visitors to Disneyland to read on an airplane or car trip to the park/

Disney is very careful about copyrights of images from their Parks so you won't find any photographs. Only Birmbaum's guides are official and have photographs. But that said, it is nice to read from a non official source rather than having to toe the heavy Disney line. You'll read various facts, get some tips, and even enjoy some quizzes/games along the way. Since the book is set up by Disneyland's themed lands, it also makes a great companion while standing in ride lines so you can learn more about the area you are in.

The book is lighthearted in nature and meant to be fun and friendly rather than exhaustively informative. You won't get the tips and tricks from e.g., Unofficial Guide To Disneyland but at the same time, you won't get a somewhat confusing or overwhelming tidal wave of information either. This book is about appreciating the park, not trying to get the most out of it or wring every bit out of it.

I imagine the litmus for the book is if you can name the secret club in Disneyland and its location. If you can, you probably know already most of what the book covers. If you can't, it means this book has a wealth of fun knowledge and background for the park and will very likely make your trip that much more enjoyable. There is always a lot of standing in lines or standing around at Disneyland so having this book available to share with family members can eat up time in a really productive and fun manner.

In all, highly recommended as a light and fun companion to the parks, especially for newer or less frequent visitors. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

Do I love Disneyland? Absolutely! It is part of my family’s lore. What, you ask. I grew up down the street; my parents worked for the bank that once had a branch inside the park. I honestly didn’t know Disneyland was a big deal because it was such a part of my life from the time I was born. My dad use to hand me some cash (seriously not a ton) and I could get in and get food. I know that just aged myself! We moved away from California when I was in high school, and that was when I learned that the happiest place on earth was a big deal. I’ve been back a few times as an adult (and other Disney parks but Disneyland remains my favorite) I really do love Disneyland.

Did this book share anything I didn’t know? No, but I smiled the entire time imagining the last time I rode Alice in Wonderland and It’s a Small World. I can imagine the now gone Mary Blair murals. This book was so much fun to read and remember, one of my favorite places. Random fun fact you may not know…Doritos were invented by Frito-lays at Disneyland.

This was fun even for someone like me who feels a bit "seasoned" in Disneyland and who I've had a BIL who was a Cast Member during college and would always give out facts/hidden secrets he learned.

It also gave me new things to look out for on my next Disneyland trip (what can I say? I married into a DISNEY family and consider myself a bit of a DIS-NERD!) .

This book gives you little or well known facts about each land and rides within the land. I felt it was descriptive enough that I could imagine it as if I was there!

Having grown up by Disneyland and having worked there, I already knew many of the stories and tidbits in this book, but it was still fun to revisit them.

For first time visitors to the park, this would be a fun addition to their trip, and an entertaining way to pass the time while in line.

Full of stories, trivia, and tips, I Love Disneyland is a fun and nostalgic read geared toward anyone who loves Disney.

Disneyland information filled with so much knowledge, quick tips and great Triva.
Having been a bunch of times there is still so much to see and now reading the book we are able to keep an eye out for more hidden mickeys and items such as the windows dedicated to legends

I have been going to Disneyland since childhood and I really love books that talk about the park’s history as well as the evolution of the buildings and attractions. This one hit the mark.

This is an amazing book for anyone who loves Disneyland or for newbies looking to learn more about the park. As a frequent visitor myself, I was pleasantly surprised to find fun facts and information that I didn't know before. Now, I'm even more excited for my next trip to the park to check out these insights!

I highly recommend this book to any Disneyland fan. The authors did a fantastic job organizing the content by each land, including trivia and fun facts that make the reading experience enjoyable. Since this book was recently released, it's up to date on all the new lands and features at Disneyland. Overall, it was a fun read that added to my appreciation of the park!
