I’m so happy I get to spend more time in the realm of Inuyasha. I think there are three volumes left. Once they’re all out, I think I’m going to do a full Inuyasha manga reread and then reread Yashahime consecutively too. I’m struggling to remember some of the lore between releases of the volumes, but I’m still enjoying the story.

The artwork is so good in Yashahime.

Maybe I’ll do a full rewatch of Inuyasha (for the millionth time) and then finally finish Yashahime too. I fell off waiting for the English dub versions and never made it back around. Well, I of course watched all of the Inuyasha and Kagome clips on Youtube upon release. 🤭 I just love them so much.

Also, they should’ve made Towa a lesbian. I said what I said.

Agh! I need the next one, like right now! Tore through this right quick, a very good entry in the series. Start off with excitement and action, lil backstory and battle with Zero (really liked finally seeing her memory, and why she was grieving so badly for The Great Dog Demon, Daddy-yasha). So, that was cool. Her, and Riku, at the end of the battle, touching. I liked how it went down.

But then! Finally! The long awaited reunion of the girls with their moms and Inuyasha! Oh my gosh. I was laughing, crying, like... oh it was so good. That whole half of the book had me smiling with the cuteness. Then, when Towa showed Kagome the birthday video her family made for her, that they make every year, ack! Tears! Man, that whole part of the book was perfect, in my opinion. All the feels. And Rin got drunk, lmao, that was funny af. Also, lil bit of cuteness with Sessho's ma giving them the sweet dreams from the butterfly, like, aw, somebody's being uncharacteristically sweet!

Like I said, need the next one, right dang quick. Gonna be torture waiting til May for the one after that though... Sigh.

All the build up and the moment is finally here, the final showdown with Lady Zero. The battle was decent though I feel a bit rushed so that hurt the flow of the story a bit to me. There were a couple really powerful moments in the story. One with Lady Zero and one in the reunion scene. I won't divulge but damn it was really good. So now we are one full step into the series and now we begin on the next towards the final fight with the Grim Comet. This is a worthy continuation of Inuyasha indeed.

I never thought I would pity Zero, but Shiina did well in illustrating the difference between her true self and the Grim-Comet-controlled self. Also, the family reunions at the end were so sweet! I definitely shed tears.
