Juliet Diaz is an award-winning, international bestselling author whose books and oracle decks have been translated into more than 14 languages, establishing her as one of the most influential literary voices of her generation.
A neurodivergent, Indigenous Taíno, first-generation Cuban American, she is a community bruja and activist. Her work centers on what it means to be in right relationship with ourselves, the Earth, and one another—rooted in liberatory and decolonial practices.
She is the writer behind Love Juliet, a Substack bestseller ranking at the top of Substack’s literature leadership board, and the founder of Literary Craft Society, a career development hub for writers, nurturing a literary movement that embraces the revolutionary potential of writing and publishing as a living, breathing force for change.
The overall ideas and themes are great, but the content itself seems to be heavily AI-generated. Also, there is also a lot of repetitiveness in each chapter, and I would estimate each chapter is about 50% longer than necessary for this reason.
This book is beyond inspiring to any person looking for a bridge between the personal, collective, and spiritual facets of their life. I found so much resonance in the way Juliet writes, it's truly like poetry and it immediately grips at the core of who we are and what we are here to do both in our own individual journeys and towards our purposeful liberation. This is not anything "woo woo". Juliet is clear in her pragmatism and makes it known that this is about being disciplined enough in our practices to be able to bring about a world that is better and more whole, as we become better and more whole. You will finish the book feeling affirmed and inspired, and you will likely want to keep it on your nightstand to come back to time and time again. So grateful for the medicine that Juliet offers!
This is a book that has a lot packed into it. There's a ton of thought and research that went into this, and Juliet Diaz did a great job of putting the information out there. I feel like this will be a really helpful tool for any magic practitioner as there is a lot of personalization and reflection/journaling prompts. This was my first readthrough and I know that I will gain more and more insight as I work through the chapters in future.
Don’t hesitate. This second edition is not just a reprint but an entire reorganization, restructuring of the first edition that grounds it in the current times. BUY this book, you will thank yourself!
Do not hesitate to read this book if you’re on a journey of exploration of self, reclamation, and justice. This book is better than a therapist, and it is one that will be used as a reference, one that the reader can go back to and explore again and again to gain deeper insight. A must have
The book has been medicine for me - creating the space I didn’t know I needed to explore my inner world in a much more intimate way than I have ever done before.
Juliet's first edition was groundbreaking, but this edition has been completely re-worked so that it speaks directly to the moments we are living in now. It is both medicine and fuel. If you've stumbled upon this work by curiosity, consider it fate. I've been so impacted by the wisdom within these pages that I keep extra copies so that I can pass it along.
