I didn't read this box set per se, but in gonna use it to review the series as a whole(and to not clutter my goodreads with every single volume) I really enjoyed it. Lots of shonen stories have characters all learn the same lessons on how to use whatever the power system of that series is, but I enjoyed how often characters were in parallel situations and learned different methods to approach and deal with them, kept it from feeling repetitive. I appreciated that unlike a lot of other completed series, the final battle didn't feel like it dragged on forever, it felt like real progress was being made. It also had plenty of great moments that felt like "oh shit I am fighting a god" I love the genderfluid plant demigods and all their crazy plant body horror. Huge fan of giving everyone epilogue moments that feel satisfying. Really didn't care for how much the art sexualized the female characters, primarily at the start. This faded out as the series went on thankfully, but in the first or second chapter for example we're presented with our main characters guilt which is presented as her nude as the melting bodies of her victims grope her body. The story also takes many moments to talk about how society forces women into certain roles in society, primarily being trapped as mothers or service. It feels like it's trying to have its cake and eat it too in how it talks about women compared to how it presents women. There are many other notes I could make for pros and cons, but overall I'm eager to see what the creator will make next with the lessons he learned from making this series .
