I couldn't read it to the end because the story was so confusing, why not just jump into the battle with Kawaki and end this torture?????

I like how much of a ride-or-die Inojin is for Himawari, but it did make me realize how lifeless the side cast has felt. Everyone’s getting wild power ups that put them above Naruto scaling in uninteresting ways (Himawari getting Kurama is cool I guess but I don’t care because she’s barely been a character until now). I feel like, knowing Himawari was in danger, Boruto didn’t push hard enough to get to her, which made him feel more hollow (I know they just wanted Himawari to have her Kurama moment though). Kawaki showing that he genuinely cares for Himawari was a breath of fresh air, it makes me more interested in him as an opposing force when he’s kind of nuanced like that. Jonins are not Jonin tier, I guess Konohomaru’s Rasen Barrier is cool (don’t make too many rasen’s now though) but he is genuinely Sarada tier. Mind you, Sarada has zero of the weird god power ups that Boruto or Himawari have, she just has normal sharingan. I don’t really know what themes we’re tackling in the story, there’s gotta be something but it’s just not resonating with me. Ikemoto does JUST enough to put this into shonen jump, like the art and panelling and choreography do nothing for me. I also do not trust that man. These character designs pain me… why is it always a choice between hideous, baby-looking, or Boruto?

Jura sensed Kyubi's presence in Himawari's body. He now targets Himawari instead of Naruto. Team 10 trying to save Himawari from Jura. A battle between Team 10 and Jura occured. Boruto comes back to Konoha and Kawaki confronts him. Boruto easily beat up Kawaki. Kawaki activates his Karma and Boruto's Karma resonating with it. Boruto seems cannot control his Karma and fled from the scene. Team 10 and Himawari fled from Jura. Himawari talks with little Kyubi.

Konoha Jounins that led by Konohamaru arrived to face Jura and Hidari. Hidari's chakra is match with Sasuke's. Sarada and Sumire arrived at the scene and suddenly Hidari attacks Sarada. Hidari used Chidori to attack and Sarada also used Chidori to counterattack. Himawari falls unconscious and having a conversation with Kurama. Kurama said death is not eternal for Bijuu and it will sprout somewhere in a time. Jura managed to chase Team 10 and Himawari. A battle occurs. Himawari was going to trap inside the Shinju. Inojin trying to help Himawari but he was stabbed by Jura. Himawari escaped from the Shinju and was going to go berserk.

Back to Konoha, Sarada and Konohamaru fight Hidari. Hidari managed to attack Sarada with his Chidori and Konohamaru also got beaten by Hidari. At the same time, Kawaki and Delta are on their way to Himawari's place. Suddenly, Boruto fly pass them and save Himawari in an instant. Hidari was going to devour Sarada with the Shinju. Boruto used Hiraishin no Jutsu to teleport to Sarada's place to save her too.

Le naufrage continue malheureusement. On sent tellement mais tellement les improvisations dans ce scénario que cela en devient même gênant même si ensuite la lecture n’est pas totalement désagréable.
Je commence sérieusement – il est plus que temps diront certains – à me demander pourquoi je continue cette série où l’auteur ne semble plus du tout inspiré. J’en viens à me demander s’il avait son histoire en tête quand il a commencé Boruto avec ce foreshadowing (prédiction) de fou mettant en scène ses deux nouveaux héros, car chaque étape pour nous y conduire et d’une maladresse narrative crasse.
Dans ce tome, j’ai tout trouvé extrêmement plat, sans vie, à part LA grosse impro de l’histoire. Les méchants sont sans saveur. Les combats sans peps. Les héros du précédent arc, notamment Kawaki, décevant et je ne parle pas des anciens qui font de la mauvaise figuration. L’espoir vient donc de la carte que l’auteur choisit de sortir de son chapeau de manière impromptue : Himawari, la soeur de Boruto, qui serait le nouveau réceptacle d’un Kyubi, qui aurait le pouvoir de se réincarner après la mort. Vous sentez combien c’est tiré par les cheveux et venu de nulle part ?
Pour autant, grâce à cela, nous avons une nouvelle héroïne qu’on a envie de suite, qui certes découvre ses capacités sur le tas et les apprivoise un peu trop facilement, mais on n’est plus à une invraisemblance près avec l’auteur dans cette saga… Si on oublie tout cela, ça reste plaisant de voir un nouveau membre de la famille avec Kyubi, surtout un mini-Kyubi bien conçu pour le merchandising (non, je ne suis pas mauvaise langue, juste honnête) et qui, selon lui, est celle qui est la plus en phase avec lui. On ne peut être que curieux de voir le résultat. De la même façon, quand Boruto revient et propose un nouvel orbe à découvrir, les marketteux, disent merci à Kishimoto car ils savent que ça plaira à la fanbase amatrice de ce genre de passe passe.
Mais que dire de l’histoire ? Elle est plate, sans saveur, sans originalité et surtout sans ligne directive, à cause des improvisations constantes du scénario qui se sentent énormément et ne le font toujours pas décoller T.T Les idées sortent de nulle part, ne sont pas crédibles, désolée Hima, désolée mini-Kyubi. Si on ferme les yeux, on est devant un shonen de baston lambda qui se laisse lire, avec une esthétique sympa, mais où il ne faut pas trop avoir d’ambition…

Himawari embodies a new kind of tragedy for the series: innocence burdened simply by being noticed by ancient powers that do not care about childhood. In this sense, she becomes Naruto’s mirror, reflecting not his triumph, but the cost of what he once carried.
Running parallel to this is the theme of identity under occupation. Boruto’s growing power is inseparable from his diminishing agency; Karma resonates, rebels, and exposes his body as a battleground rather than a self, which is a looming idea that will continue to haunt the character in succeeding volumes.
Underlying all of this is a bleak meditation on progress. The Shinju, the thorn soul bulb, even the possibility of restoring Sasuke are solutions not ideal. Preservation comes at the cost of selfhood, and hope is repeatedly rendered temporary and easily stolen. Boruto’s role in this volume is telling: he arrives not as a savior to the ones important to him, but as an intercessor, briefly holding disaster at bay without resolving it. Or at least, not yet. I remain hopeful.
BTBV Vol. 3 leaves the unsettling impression that the future is not being built, only recycled, and that the younger generation is inheriting not a world, but an unfinished tale written in ever more blood. I can't wait for the mangaka's philosophical spiel. I can see it coming as we continue to know more about Momoshiki's species.

imo one of the best volumes in the entire series thus far.
I think a big chunk of the enjoyment of Boruto is it’s just hype and stakes are high (and they keep upping them), and I know that’s a bit cheap in the realm of story telling. However, I find it incredibly amusing and at least a somewhat inventive way to continue the Naruto universe without centering Naruto anymore (after all his story was absolutely completed by the end of shippuden).
The himawari thing I won’t disclose in my review for the sake of anti spoilers again, I hope has a bit more lore? The convenient way to center her character (and make her stronger) while also tying her to one of the most beloved entities in the franchise again, a bit cheap in terms of exposition/explanation, but once again, so welcomed because it’s genuinely so cool 😭. Her hair as rails is a bit awkward for me though, still overall cool.
The action in this mixed in with story advancement was perfect and exactly what I want from a good Shonen. The fights were high stakes, real damage was taken on from both parties (despite again some cheap healing), more intel is forming, more incentives developing, Kawaki is still the most annoying creature on earth, Boruto still solo’ing 😭😭😭
Also I know you could explain this with aging, but I’m very glad Shikadai in the least reflects Shikamaru’s spirit/nature more than actual adult Shikamaru. The more Shikamaru is shown in Boruto and now Blue Vortex the more of a scared weak pansy he appears, which is not at all the way I viewed his character when he was younger. Really wish he kept his edge, I think the goatee is the problem, who knows.
Honestly a perfect volume.

Both Himawari and Boruto seem like they’re gonna be incredibly strong. Boruto is just levels above everyone it seems, and they make him look badass with his outfit and eye etc. too. It’s kinda like the timeskip from Naruto to Naruto Shippuden when Sasuke became very strong while being with Orochimaru. However, this time it’s Sasuke who became Boruto’s teacher, and you can really see Boruto is adopting the same ‘aura’ with the clothes and sword. Himawari has a byakugan AND nine tails??? Atp Himawari could get her own series lol. Kurama even told her that she’s got greater potential than Naruto, so I’m excited for the future. To be very honest, I don’t LOVE that Kurama has basically been revived. There’s parts of me that like it, but the explanation behind how he’s still here is just kinda ehhhh to me. He’s basically immortal? Whenever a biju dies, it will just enter someone else’s body apparently… and it’s most logical for it to be Hima’s, because she inherited some Kurama chakra from Naruto.

In general this was okay mainly because of what they decided to do with Himawari. I know that she has been in the background compared to Boruto and others but there were soooo many ways they could have made Himawari relevant. The whole stuff Kurama makes 0 sense and even worse, it makes his sacrifice meaningless. We know that Himawari has always been special and even Daemon noticed something odd about her but come on man...Other than that, there were some good scenes but this really ruined the experience for me. I'm too invested and stubborn to quit so I'll see what happens but I really don't have any hopes for the future of the series (it's been this way for a long time).

es que me emocione demasiado. tipo que himawari tenga a kurama. es increíble. no lo esperaba pero la verdad me pareció espectacular. es como que no sabia que lo necesitaba hasta que me lo dieron.
boruto bld ese man cada vez está más Hot. repito tendría que ser ilegal. me hace acordar a sasuke que tenia esa chulería esa forma de ser. sin siquiera intentarlo. es lindo y no sabe que es lindo. y si lo sabe le chupa un huevo. El tipo mueve un dedo y yo grito. increíble también. amo a boruto. cada panel de el con su cara sería y su ojo tuerto y su forma de moverse. y su inexpresividad. ufff 🥵 obviamente es como si nada le importara pero obviamente todo le importa. aparte de que tuvo que madurar muy rápido después de lo que paso.

I'm geeking out.
I mean, seriously, after some spoilery stuff that I can't talk about that is still a little bit old news at this point, and then learning that Himiwari is front and center in this volume, and WHY... I'm totally geeking out.
It still isn't enough to help her get through this current shitstorm, but I love every single thing about it. I don't care if it's even slightly deus ex machina, it makes SENSE to me because of who K is and all the time he spent with Naruto and fam.
So... YESSSSSSSSS! :)

I read this, and the last two books, all in one night. This series was very bingeworthy, and it jumps right into the action. I really couldn't put it down. I love Himawari's development especially. She's so badass, and I'm excited to see how she uses and develops her powers. Sarada's plot was also really interesting, and it was super cool to see her use it against Hidari (Sasuke?? o.O)
It's also been a while since I've read any manga, and jumping right into this without even reading the manga, and only seeing the anime, is kind of scary. But it's so cool to see this series develop in such an interesting direction. It makes me want to read all of the original manga of Naruto and Boruto.
Overall, this is really super good, and I look forward to reading future and past volumes.

L’aspetto che sto apprezzando di questa seconda parte dell’opera è indubbiamente il coinvolgimento di personaggi per lungo tempo rimasti sempre un po’ in disparte.
(Coinvolgimento che mi auguro possa essere sempre maggiore, e pian piano esteso anche a qualcun altro).
Se proprio dovessi trovare una nota stridente, sottolineerei la facilità con cui alcuni personaggi si ritrovano ad avere “poteri” assurdi in un battito di ciglia. Ma questo è un problema (?), un difetto (?), insomma, un elemento che ci trasciniamo sin dai tempi di Naruto…

On est sur une bonne lancée car je dévore chaque tome et je passe à chaque fois un bon moment.

Kyubi est de retour. Et ça, ça m'a bien fait plaisir. C'est un personnage que j'aime beaucoup et j'adore le découvrir dans une apparence plus enfant/ado. De l'âge d'Himawari en fait. D'ailleurs, elle aussi je l'ai beaucoup aimé. Et j'ai hâte de voir comment va se passer sa collaboration avec Kyubi !
Par contre, le personnage de Kawaki m'énerve beaucoup. Je crois que je le déteste alors que je l'adorais au début. On verra s'il remonte dans mon estime.

Carina l’idea di far rinascere l’ennacoda in Himawari e diciamo che lei sarebbe molto piu compatibile con l’ennacoda perchè ha sia il chacra d naruto che quello di hinata con il suo biakugan. Inilziamente mi ha scioccata perchè Kurama non è morto♥️ tuttavia per quanto sensata non è una scelta che non mi ha fatto impazzire su himawari magari perche non è mai stato un personaggio con grosso rilievo nella storia, sempre vista come la ragazzina tranquilla che viveva in una famiglia tranquilla ma forse mi ricrederò🥰

Ho apprezzato in generale la storia narrata nei capitoli, non riesco bene a comprendere del tutto il ritorno di Kurama... finalmente Himawari comincia ad avere una sua rilevanza e forse a uscire dall'ombra di Boruto.
Brevissimo scontro tra Boruto e Kawaki; Boruto appare essere più forte di Kawaki ma quando quest'ultimo utilizza il karma, Boruto fugge (sembra non sia in grado di controllare il karma).
Scorrevole e carino.
