How it started? Me appreciating a cute reimagining of the Hades x Persephone story. How it’s going? I’m SOBBING over an otter who has persevered through so many challenges to pursue his dreams T_T
I would DIE for Kotsume. Or kill. Whatever is required.
Oh, and Hades x Persephone is *canon*. Basically. Ish. We know where this is going~
This feels kind of slow moving the second half of this was better than the first as both seemed to have realized their feelings but neither are expressing them and seem to be fully in their heads which half way through the series... I am side eyeing. I keep hoping for more movement cause I think it was in book 2 or 3, Hades was contemplating how when people die they forget and how he didn't want to live with the feeling of being forgotten by her... FUCKING HEART BREAKING. And we haven't revisited that at ALL!!! in a way, I feel like I want to not read more till the end but I also don't want to miss the sometimes sweet moments with them. Then we were ripped from our inside head thoughts about how she feels to the nymph... I want to sit with our feelings with dialogue between them. It was even okay actually when she was talking to the god and the servant and him with the god cause it wasn't just in their heads....
I need her and hades more.

I normally don’t write reviews for the manga I read but I just couldn’t help myself with this one. It had a lovely resolution to a recent story arc, and some of the best most endearing line art I’ve seen recently. I actually took photos of some pages just because I admired the art so much. I genuinely find myself getting invested and attached to characters and enjoy seeing their development. I cried at one part when the story changed from what I was expecting! I just want the best for the characters. I’ve been enjoying this series for a while now and I’m so looking forward to the next volume!!
After the last volumes I am pleased to say these two were outstanding. Kotsumes arc has come to an end and I couldn’t be happier as I feel I’m the only one to find Kotsume annoying. I’m not thrilled about Menthe either but the ending has me interested. I loved Colette and her sister’s scenes. As someone that has sisters I felt the bond between the two of them. My favorite was Colette realizing how she truly feels about Hades. They’re hands my favorite Shojo Beat pairing. I’m so glad to be excited about this series again.
My favorite comment is Kitsume's touching happy ending job. I was so happy when he appeared as a servant with a new job. Besides that, I'm also waiting for the progress of Colette's relationship with Lord Hades. Their moments kept me on edge throughout this volume. Besides that, the character development of Colette from just a pharmacist who loves to study shows many sweet sides. Can't wait for the next story.
Colette is amazing and I love following her along on her journeys, house visits, and trips to the underworld. Through Colette we get to meet so many new characters and experience heart warming moments. Lord Hades is finally realizing what he wants and has to make the big decision about his actions going forward.
So excited for the next volume! Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for the DRC.
This one made me tear up a few times! Kotsume's arc came to a wonderful end <3 Dio and Hermes joining Colette to watch over her on the surface as she travels is so cute! I love getting to see more of the skeletons especially Harry. Colette figuring out she's in LOVE!! That almost kiss and the frozen flower~~ *melting*
