**This is book 2 of a series, and I have ARC read both book 1 and book 2, but my memory isn't the best and it's been awhile since I read book 1. I think a reader could start with book 1 or book 2 in this series.**

TMMOZA has made me cry several times only to pick me up with the happiest of endings. It makes me so excited to see how the series is going to end with book 3!

Zoey and Beth each have my heart in different ways. Zoey is the ADHD woman who comes off much harder than she actually is -- boy do I relate to that. Her dysfunctional family and a massive ass4at of a father will be so relatable to many queer people who don't have the privilege of a supportive family. Seeing Zoey grow is a major payoff of book 2...she starts off much less sure of herself and stuck in a past she isn't ready to let go of, and by the end she's so much stronger.

Beth is the golden retriever girlfriend who gives her whole heart despite her own past and issues she is trying to heal. I loved the contrast of her family unit with Zoey's.

Laura is the character that makes this book come to life...I can't spoil that plot, but no one made me feel stronger things than I did about Laura.

Hunter has made yet another novel where the cast is messy, queer, and so relatable. A romance that gives all the feelings and makes me so excited for the next installment.

I really felt sorry for Zoey at the start of the book, I think most people go through what she went through with Laura. I am just happy that she found her happy and that Laura wasn't able to ruin that for Zoey and Beth.

Five out of five stars—no question. Hunter isn’t just a writer; she builds worlds with her words, and with every line, we become more invested and forever in love with these characters.

First lets just say Wow! This book was everything I needed. If you’re looking for a sapphic romance that is far beyond just the average girl meets girl, this is that book.

I was completely absorbed in the continuation of the story through Zoey’s eyes. Writing a story where you connect deeply with every character—even the frustrating ones—is rare, but Hunter does it flawlessly. I tagged 18 chapters as my favorites, but one scene in particular absolutely ripped my heart out:

SPOILER ALERT
A pivotal moment between Zoey and her long-time crush, Laura, shattered me. That “I’ve been in love with you forever, and now you finally see me?” moment is heartbreakingly real. Also at this exact moment, Laura noticing Zoey’s tattoos—massive, vibrant pieces of art that had gone unseen for so long. This moment perfectly captures the painful truth that you can be right next to someone and still feel invisible… until someone else, like Beth, finally sees you.

This is just one small example of the world and the amazing experiences these characters have.

Speaking about Laura, she is a total mess in the most compelling way. You’re constantly torn between wanting to hug her and shake her as she navigates her unresolved feelings for Amy Love, who lingers on every edge of the page. Amy’s presence is a constant, looming force, reminding us we’re only halfway through this emotional journey.

And then there’s the tension between Zoey and Beth—sizzling, slow-burn perfection.
I don’t want to spoil the whole story but Zoey has gone through so many silent obstacles and Hunter’s portrayal of ADHD, social anxiety and neurodivergence is nothing short of triumphant. Reading it felt like looking into a mirror of my own internal thoughts and struggles— this book is so many things.

Bottom line to all my feelings....

This moment with Zoey feels earned, and it propels the story toward the tender wreckage we know awaits in book three. Bravo, Hunter. You see the world as it is and still write with hope and love. I can’t wait to dive into Book 3 with Laura and the magnetic chaos thats Amy Love, but I’m so grateful for the time spent with Zoey first. She has my heart.

This book starts defining that Zoey has been in love with her sister’s best friend Laura for such a long time, but Laura never has pretended to notice nor care. I sympathised with Laura in the first book in the series, The Many Mistakes of Amy Love, but I kind of hate how she treats Zoey in this book.

Zoey is the character to love and care for now and quite easy when you follow her struggles with ADHD, her parents being so transphobic against her sister Emily, the pressure to succeed with her MBA so she can step up and do what was planned for Emily before her transition and of course her pining for Laura that treats her so poorly. The other MC Beth is also struggling, almost 30 and back home with her parents after falling apart in her beloved teaching job. She tries to get by on being a DJ and a musician but also delivering pizza, but she is nowhere close to being able to afford moving to her own place again.

Both their love lives completely non-existing, Zoey yearning for Laura and had a really bad experience with Amy a few years back, Beth has not even considered dating after her crash. They meet, kiss and meet again when Beth delivers a pizza to Zoey. The electricity is sizzling hot, but they are not really prepared to date anyone for real. They must move on from their past, leave that behind, and then try to find each other. It is intriguing to follow that work and I will for sure want to read the 3rd book in the series to above all get some closure on Amy Love that just briefly appears again at the very end of the book.

The writing style in this book very different from what I am used to, the author defined it as written in third person with an omniscient narrator. I understand that is to show the neurodivergent way of thinking but at time a bit confusing to me when the POV is switching in the middle of a chapter. I think I would have preferred standard 3rd person POV and alternating chapters.

This is book 2 in a series of 3, but it can be read as a standalone for those who aren't interested in Amy Love. Personally, I'm as in love with Zoey as I was with Amy.

Zoey has a hard, at times icy, exterior with a warm, squishy inside. Often misunderstood because of her ADHD and anxiety, Zoey is waiting for a perfect future she isn't even sure if she really wants. I fell in love with how perfectly imperfect she is. I want to be the person to remind her she deserves to be happy and be treated with love and respect.

Beth is the seemingly care free golden retriever with a warm smile and cool rockstar edge that charms everyone (but herself) into forgetting the fact her life is in a free fall as she delivers pizza by day.

Hunter made me root for Zoey and want to cry alongside Beth...she made me want to grit my teeth and go into the crowded gig to watch a messy, queer love story play out between real. Fucking. People. The Many Mistakes series is not about generic, cookie cutter love stories - readers will want to hit some of these characters, and then help some of them stand back up. The character arcs show growth and journey and the narrative style gives people a look inside the cast's mind that helps explain motivation. Hunter makes you feel things for her characters.

The story flows nicely and delivers the HEA for Zoey romance readers expect, with a tease at Book 3 that will make everyone excited to read the finale to the series. Everyone knows from her previously published works that Hunter can deliver hot s3x scenes, but the Mistakes series is so much more than s3x. It's about beautiful, messy, queer, ND women finding love and falling on their face along the way. I can't wait to see what Hunter does next!

Firstly, I should say this is a damn good book, the storyline is vividly real without being depressingly real, it is an incredible balance to write such difficult topics, while being sensitive to the themes, and still making it feel like RA Hunter is hold your hand through the narrative.

But are you (insert own expletive here) kidding me RA Hunter?!? Laura was a massive dick throughout the whole book, and just as I might have given her some leeway I don’t get the explanation?!? I mean this with kindness, but if you don’t release book 3 soon, the Hunter will become the hunted; and if the book is released soon, guess who gets a cookie?

But back to TMMoZA: this was a new experience for me, people write of getting swept up in the world the author creates, and routing of characters they will never meet; this book made me experience music like never before without hearing a single note, and I loved it. To feel such a strong connection to music without hearing it myself was a surreal but lovely surprise this book had to offer.

I am in awe once again of RA Hunter’s writing and story telling. It’s hard for me to comprehend how this writer isn’t more well know with such unfiltered, real stories that speak so clearly to people.

Wow, just wow! As someone with ADHD and RSD, it meant a lot to see myself and others represented so well in this book. It's so great to read something that basically mirrors your own life, it's like an outer body experience looking in at yourself. This story really takes a deep dive into the world of neurodiversity, which in today's world, we as a society, have only recently began to recognize and understand.

The way ADHD is explained in this book is so accurate, and it feels so rewarding to see people like us included in fiction. RA does it again!!! and, I'm 100% confident that it will help people who have ADHD better understand their struggles like it did me.

This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading The Many Mistakes of Amy Love to give you a better understanding of all of the characters that appear in this book. Also, word of advice, never judge a book by its cover, no pun intended of course. In the first book, Zoey wasn’t an easy character to like, but seeing things from her point of view in this book changed everything. The story is phenomenal.

It has taken me days to write this review because I didnt know how to put my feelings into words because of my own ADHD, and because I wanted to make sure I gave this book the praise it deserves.

This was an eye opener for me and I am so grateful that we neurodivergent people have accurate representation.

'Jo was busy adjusting their snare drum, the offensively pink and glittery kit always amused Beth. It was not at all what you would expect a self-labeled non-binary butch to play' as a self-labeled non-binary butch - it should be what you expect lol

i loved the first book, but this is my favourite. even if i don't particularly like zoey at all, i absolutely adore beth and love who zoey grows to be through the story.

honestly i think one of the best things about this series so far though is how deeply unlikeable the characters are. R. A. Hunter is NOT shy about creating main characters with deep flaws and making them run head first into self realisation.

it's emotional, it's filled with drama, and the sex scenes are absolutely mind blowing (which i have found is the case for all of Hunter's work). i cannot wait for book 3 💚

RA Hunter creates a fantastic 2nd book in this series featuring queer and neurodivergent reps in this sapphic story. You'll love (most) of the characters but they will also frustrate you. Lots of complex feelings and lots of spice.
Warning: ⚠️ You may want to throw your Kindle. This is book 2 of a continuing series. I didn't throw my Kindle after book 2 or book 1 but... it was definitely a thought.

The Many Mistakes of Zoey Andrews was such a delightful read! One of my favorite things about the book was the representation. The lesbian characters felt authentic, relatable, and fully developed rather than being reduced to stereotypes. Their relationships were written with warmth, humor, and emotional depth, making it easy to become invested in their journeys.

I also really appreciated the portrayal of ADHD. Zoey's experiences felt genuine and nuanced, capturing both the challenges and the unique ways her mind works. The story handled ADHD with empathy and understanding, showing how it can affect everyday life, relationships, and self-confidence without defining a person's entire identity.

I absolutely loved this book; I adored Zoey and Beth so much. The relationship felt so real and authentic. For anyone who wants to understand ADHD the representation in this felt spot on. And yet for all the ups and downs and heartfelt moments; the book also gave exactly the right amount of spice!

The Many Mistakes of Zoey Andrews – Book 2 is a wonderfully engaging follow-up that deepens Zoey’s story in all the right ways. This is my fist book of from R.A. Hunter but for sure not my last. The cover catched my attention right away, im a stickler for good and well made cover.

Hunter blends humor, heart, and emotional honesty to show a young woman who is trying—sometimes failing, sometimes thriving—to navigate the messy realities of adulthood. Zoey’s imperfections make her incredibly relatable; her mistakes feel real, and her attempts to grow from them are both touching and entertaining.

What stands out most is the balance between lighthearted chaos and meaningful character development. Zoey’s relationships, career challenges, and personal struggles are portrayed with warmth and authenticity, giving the story a strong emotional core without ever losing its playful tone. The pacing is smooth, the dialogue feels natural, and the supporting characters add depth and color to Zoey’s journey. There are so many moment where i could just feel the struggels and emotions of Zoey because the book is that well written.

This book delivers everything you want in a character-driven contemporary novel: humor, vulnerability, and a protagonist you can’t help but root for. It’s a satisfying and uplifting read that leaves you eager to follow Zoey into whatever trouble she stumbles into next.

Highly recommended for fans of heartfelt, funny, and empowering stories. I read that book without book one and it was easily to read as a stand alone, but i will for sure catch a copy of book one ;)

The Many Mistakes of Zoey Andrews follows on from the Many Mistakes of Amy Love, but can be read as a standalone romance. If you’re hoping for more of Amy Love you’ll have to wait for book three.

Our main love interests are Zoey Andrews and Beth Harden. Zoey is a roommate and longtime friend of Laura and she’s been in love with her friend Laura forever. She’s never told Laura how she feels but it’s obvious. Laura has always been into random hookups but she’s currently hung up on Amy Love. Zoey dated Amy in the past and had her heart completely broken. Zoey tries to warn Laura about Amy with no success.

Beth has left the city to move into her parents’ basement. She has a very supportive family but she seems a little lost. She spends her time practicing with her band, DJ’ing events, and delivering pizzas. She meets Zoey after one of her band’s performances and there is immediate sexual attraction.

I loved the neurodivergent rep and the unique third person omniscient writing style. There is also trans rep as Zoey’s sister is trans. We get ADHD rep with Zoey who has been on medication in the past but is not currently on meds.

The Many Mistakes of Zoey Andrews was a bit harder for my brain to get into than The Many Mistakes of Amy Love because there were so many characters pulling my focus away from the main love interests. But I really enjoyed all the characters and couldn’t put this book down. I was super envious that Zoey got to live out her 90s porn fantasy. Haha. I can’t wait for The Many Mistakes of Laura Miller.

First off, I fucken loved this book! why was it so damn good?
I received this as an ARC and I’m so glad I did. This is book two in the series and even though I haven’t read book one yet, I wasn’t confused at all. Its a standalone but now I need to go back and read book one.

Beth is a hot sweetheart who gives her whole heart despite her past and I loved her. Zoey though… wow. She’s painfully relatable. Some of her struggles genuinely made me cry 🥹 She loves so hard that she forgets about herself. Her parents are transphobic and honestly can suck ass. Her bestie Ali was always there for her. The funny, ride or die friend everyone needs and she helped Zoey so much.

This book really made me emotional especially with the family dynamics. Why do some parents suck so bad?! Sometimes just loving and accepting your child should be enough.

It is technically a standalone, but the ending makes me think reading book one it’s a must. And yes… it’s also hot asf 🥵

I would give more than five stars if I could!
Okay, at first I waited for Amy to appear, and she did somehow…but very quickly the focused Zoey and the incredibly sweet Beth became the center of my attention.
R.A. Hunter's writing is brilliant in terms of perspective.
We really get to see all the emotions of each individual character conveyed beautifully!
I'm amazed at the negative feelings Laura stirred in me, and I just hope things get better in book three of the series!
She's really suffering with her Amy obsession, but that doesn't excuse the past…Well, we'll see.
I love the characters Hunter creates.
They're perfectly imperfect.
I sincerely hope the next book won't take too long, because the first sequel really tested my patience, although it was so wonderfully different than expected. Worth the wait!
But it's marvelous, hot, and messy!

This is the first book that I’ve read from this author and I enjoyed It. I haven’t read the first book to this series and I definitely checking it out.

This was a cute story that follow Zoey who is going to school to get her MBA so she can take over the family law firm company that she quite doesn’t want. Then there is Beth who is a musician that after something serious happens moves back to her old town and back into her parents home. I like how this is a fun and enjoyable story that touches on some issues like the struggles of ADHD.

The relationship development between Zoey and Beth is really great to see how it comes together. Few spicy scenes as well.

I look forward to reading to next book!!

I loved book two in the Many Mistakes series - Zoey was such a fun character to follow. Her relationship with Beth is perfection. Healthy communication, we love to see it!

As to be expected from Hunter the spice was deliciously spicy.

Once again Hunter gives great neurodivergent representation this time through Zoey’s ADHD - the depiction felt so natural and relatable.

I read Hunters erotic shorts first and wasn't sure what to expect from a full novel - but I wasn't disappointed! The storytelling and pace was perfect. I love Beth - its great to get some masc representation in sapphic books.
