Z písemné pozůstalosti ve Werichově rodinném archivu byly pro tuto knížku vybrány dopisy, pohlednice i lístky Janem Werichem psané či jemu adresované, originální Werichovy kresby a fotografie spolu s úryvky z jeho nejrůznějších publikovaných či jen rukopisných textů a se vzpomínkami umělcových přátel. Nově nalezené písemnosti mohly knihu obohatit i díky Werichově osobní sekretářce Jarmile Týlové. Dojemné, zábavné a dokumentárně cenné Listování v osmi kapitolách chronologicky mapuje, od dětství po smrt, Werichovu životní dráhu a objevně tak doplňuje tři svazky vzájemné korespondence V + W, vydané později.

As the cover of this book says this book is a short summary of letters of J.Werichs own Family, friends ,colleagues , fans. In a way a little fragment from life of J.Werich which is nicely and chronologicly sorted from the youngest age of him to the end...This book showed me a lot about J.Werich life - honestly without censorship of "celebrity life"as it is mostly shown nowadays. Everyday life cycle of the guy who went thru hell, stayed in the right place in his heart and gave to all people what he could... at least it seems to be like that. Do I recommend this book to read for everyone? Of course , why not... some passages were bit boring to me because some of the letters are I would say on the border between publishable<->too personal. But every individual can take what he needs from it anyways. Enjoy ur reading :)
