ONE TAKES LIFE. ONE DEFENDS IT. FATE IS ABOUT TO MAKE THE SWITCH.When a middle-aged businessman enters the office of Ben Carter and hires him for a murder case, nothing could have prepared the lawyer for the cat-and-mouse game that follows. Tasked with defending a woman accused of killing local businessman Dale Rich, Carter soon finds himself asking more questions about the man who hired him than the woman he’s been sent to defend.
Corinne Lucas appears as nothing more than a victim trapped in a nightmare, caught up in a frenzied murder that screams wrong place-wrong time. When the evidence begins to pile up and appears to implicate the woman in multiple ways, it’s up to her lawyer to separate truth from fiction. Carter quickly uncovers a possible motive for the killing and when it turns the entire investigation on its head, how can he protect himself when all the evidence points to the unlikeliest of suspects?
The Hitman's Lawyer is a heart-pounding courtroom drama full of intrigue and deception where the stakes are life and death. Perfect for fans of John Grisham, Michael Connelly, and James Chandler.

A murder took place where a man was stabbed several times. But there was no mention of any blood until after a trial, and the murder weapon being found. That just doesn’t look or sound right.
Thought I figured it out. Got lost at the end! Good characters. Well developed. Didn’t conclude the possible romance I expected between the DA and Defense lawyer. Worth the effort.
