Autoimmunity Unlocked: 5 Keys to Transform Microbiome, Immune, and Digestive Health and Reclaim Your Life. A 5R+ Holistic Guide for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Crohn's
Your body is an ecosystem. To heal immune cells, you must repair their entire environment.
Autoimmunity Unlocked is your complete guide to the 5R+ System—a revolutionary approach to addressing chronic immune diseases by focusing on and treating the human microbiome and body as an interconnected ecosystem.
This book is an encyclopedia of healthy living centered on the immune system, microbiome, and digestive health. Designed for readers of all backgrounds—regardless of medical expertise—yet comprehensive in scope, it simplifies complex functional medicine concepts into practical and actionable steps to holistic health.
Perfect for those managing:
Autoimmune conditions: Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) and Crohn's disease, Graves' and Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Sjögren's syndrome, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, scleroderma, systemic vasculitis, etc.

I didn't like it. I really don't understand what bro was trying to do while writing this book. Several QR codes and almost every second-third page mentions to watch a video or photo. It would be better to create a YouTube video with this information instead of writing a book.

This book was f*$#@ng annoying.
It's a huge disorganized mess.
Every chapter is only like, a page and half long.
There are all these QR codes on every other page - I don't read with my phone in my lap, okay? That sounds like hell.
There are all these acronyms everywhere, and since I skimmed around reading it to find useful things it took me forever to finally find out what DILL was supposed to be referring to.
Suggestions are often extremely vague, with no evidence, and no details on the amount of a supplement it might be helpful to take, etc.
Most of this is old news to me, as I've been navigating chronic pain and mystery symptoms and food allergies/intolerances since OHS and Covid 5 years ago.
However, for someone new to this, there might be something useful to learn, IF (you're suffering so much that) you're finally willing to change the way you eat to heal your rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune chronic illness.... What I DID take note of (many of these points I'd heard before but needed a reminder of) and what will maybe be useful to me now was:
-avoid chilled drinks: it increases stomach dumping which leads to incomplete digestions and decreased digestive juice production
-improve stomach acid production by eating bitter vegetables, vinegar, fermented pickles; can try dandelion, hops, gentian
-maintain glutathione: sulfur rich food, pineapple, papaya, asparagus, okra, Brazil nuts, spinach, cilantro, turmeric
-HALF YOUR DIET SHOULD BE RAW VEGETABLES, FRUITS, NUTS & SEEDS
-chew more. wayyyyy more.
-maybe beef's not good. or coconut oil.
-avoid snacking: this gives your gut epithelium and stomach a chance to repair themselves, and your liver can get a rest. This is one reason leaky gut and malabsorption are so prevalent today.
-"Don't fear the sensation of hunger; embrace it." (p. 247)
-contrast showers (2-3 min hot, then 30 sec cold)
-capillary circulation/dead bug exercise: increases lymph drainage and blood flow in legs. Lay on back with arms and legs in the air; relax body while shaking/vibrating limbs intensely for several minutes.
(Those are just the points that I myself (after years' experience navigating health problems by myself because doctors don't give a $#!*) need to really try harder to put into practice in my own life - but if you're someone for whom these ideas are brand new, there might be much more you could get from the book, like about not eating SUGAR ANYMORE!!!! Or pork or much meat at all, or moldy cheeses like brie and camembert, or gluten or grains or processed crap; not eating foods that cause any sort of intolerance or reaction, etc.)

I’ve read many health books, but this one stands out. It doesn’t just focus on diet—it takes a comprehensive look at how different lifestyle factors shape long-term health. The sections on gut health and immune function were particularly fascinating, breaking down complex science into easy-to-understand concepts. I came away with a much deeper understanding of how to support my body for long-term vitality. If you’re interested in living a healthier, longer life, this book is a fantastic resource.

In depth
As a visual learner, I really appreciate the charts! And the bonuses are really good, but what pushes it into awesome is the info about exercises and gut health! The section about water and laxatives are also informative.
