This is a very short story, but it's good. It was predictable, but left me wanting more. Wagar's vocabulary and writing style are excellent.
This is my favorite passage:
"Original thinking could wait until one had earned the position. To do that, you needed to tread a well trodden path and hold your tongue when appropriate, perhaps even say one thing and mean another."
