Holding On #3

Weakness: Ethan's Novella

Rate this book
"I set her down, place my hands on her cheeks and kiss her like it's the last time I will ever be able to. I can hear our families talking in the background but I don't really care. She will be my wife soon enough. She's already carrying my children. She's my entire world. I've felt an inner strength and an emotional weakness for her since the moment I laid eyes on her." Ethan and Becca's relationship has been far from easy. In the beginning, Ethan had to fight to be with her. After Brad moved to town, he had to fight to keep her. When he walked away he was sure that he lost her. Then Natalie died and he was given a second chance to prove his love to her. Now, Becca is pregnant. With twins! Can Becca and Ethan hold on to the love that they shared? Or will the one secret that Ethan has kept from Becca be the reason their relationship falls apart... for good this time? A lie by omission is still a lie. Ethan's secret comes to light as the final chapter of their story is told through Ethan's eyes. The real question is... Will Ethan and Becca find their happily ever after?

I love reading books and having both people's point of view In the stories. This book is great. It's Ethan's point of view on everything. He falls for Becca the first time he sees her and what he was thinking through all of this. Great read great story line can't wait to read the 2nd installment. Will not disappoint.

I really wanted to love this, but it was repetitive. We had already went through mostly everything with Becca's POV, this was the same stuff in Ethan's POV. I found myself skimming through. There was some new stuff but not much. The new stuff was kind of major and worth reading though.

I liked that this novella was in Ethan's POV, just wish the story wasn't so repetitive. I would have liked to read different moments, rather than rehashing moments from books 1 and 2. I read book 2 and this one in the same day, so that may have affected my perception.

I was rooting for Ethan the entire way through this book. So, I guess you could say I'm team Ethan!

This book is written from Ethan's point of view, which I'm happy Ms. Brownell gave us a chance to see things from his side.

My heart breaks at a certain point in this book, but I don't want to spoil it for the readers. You might want to keep some tissues on stand-by, just in case you need them.

Keep writing your stories, Ms. Brownell, so I can read them and share will my friends!

Rachael Brownell sent me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have read Holding On and Unglued, the first two books in this series. I feel madly in love with Becca, Brad and Ethan. I was Team Ethan all the way, though and Weakness is written from his point of view. I LOVE being able to see through his eyes. The book was beautifully written and I enjoyed every minute of it.

There wasn't that much difference in Ethan's story from Becca's except his secret so I found myself skimming through the book. Had it been more than a .99 cent book I would have never bought it. It could have been added to the end of Unglued and most of it was. I was disappointed that Brad and Morgan didn't have happy endings to their stories either.

It was okay

Not as good as the first book, but it wasn't bad... Not sure I liked that they went back and wrote about the same things from Ethan's view. Just seemed repetitive reading the same thing again.

"This story made me cry. It answers all the questions left from the first two stories. We learn why Ethan has a tattoo and what Natalie's original plan was. Read this for the completion of one of the best romances ever written." - Amazon reviewer
