History always repeats … or does it?When plunged into a tricky situation and facing an impossible choice, Beth Apsley will soon discover.Three months after unintentionally time-travelling back to 1994, and despite now living twenty-one years in the past, life for Beth is panning out to be pretty peachy. However, when the inquisitive DCI French starts to probe into her true identity, Beth and Carlton are forced to make a snap decision … stay and face the consequences, or go on the run.
… an escape through time.
When back in the 1970s, although they now no longer need to keep looking over their shoulders, it appears history has changed and not for the better. Beth is going to need her father’s assistance because lives are at stake.
Once again, can Beth, Carlton, and Jason alter the past and change their futures?
… time will tell.
Relive the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s in this witty and gripping time-travel series. If you like time travel, entwined with mystery, humour, and a dash of romance, you’ll love this fast-paced series by Adrian Cousins.
Hello ... I'm a self-confessed time-travel fan. So, unsurprisingly, my books fit into the time-travel genre. My third book, Eye of Time, will be published in October 2021. Please drop onto my website for updates.
These books are great fun, and I did enjoy this, but I still feel the Apsley series should have finished at book 4 with Jason's pov. Maybe I just find grown-up Beth annoying. But this does tie everything up. Again!
Once again we're catapulted from one year 1994... back to 1977! And the complexities of time travel on Beth and Carlton, both now a lot older than they were in that year. This story is like unravelling a jumper and re-knitting it into something better .. we follow Beth, Carlton, Jenny and Jason along with Martin and the now younger members of the family trying to stop all the rotten things that happen around the Colneys and Gower family .. we see how WPC French starts in CID, a milestone in policing at that time... Once again a enjoyable romp that reminds us of the good times and bad news from then .. a great read that is worthy of its 5🌟 roll on the next one ... can't wait to see where we end up 🙂
I genuinely look forward to any book releases from Adrian & to date I’ve never been disappointed. How he manages to keep all the time traveling “balls in the air” & also plays out emotions beautifully I don’t know but I’m certainly glad he’s more than capable. Worth reading in order & Re-reading prior to new releases 👏👏👏👏
The most confusing times travel I've had the unpleasant experience of wading through
I love time travel stories, but not this one. So many characters jumping all over and back changing names and having old and young characters interacting with themselves is so different from the rules I'm used to.
Another great installment in the Jason Apsley adventures. What could be a total mind bend is actually pretty easy to follow as Adrian pulls you into all the drama. Book 7 downloaded and ready to get stuck into.
This was brilliant read just like the rest of the series. Great characters some you will love some you will hate! The story is fast passed and very well written.
Another adventure in time in Fairfield and the yellow ford cortina strikes again more nefarious trouble with the Conleys and the Gowers No spoilers ere
Adrian Cousins can sure write a good story and he's done it again in this sixth book of the Jason Apsley series. I love this series filled with time travel and bursting with paradoxes. If you've never read any of the Apsley books don't start with this one. Start with number one, (Second Chance) and work your way up. You won't be sorry.
In our latest timeline tale, there are more time ripples, murders, genealogy head twists and a load of fun to go along with it. I would highly recommend this time travel series. Once again I look forward to the next predicament befalling the Aspley family and anyone unfortunate enough to be anywhere near them.
