This book is a dark romance mafia book.
I enjoyed this book and loved how fast paced and easy it was. There were a lot of important scenes that led to the plot being very important. The character development sold me all the way because I enjoyed how Allyn grew with so much happening around her and I enjoyed the coldness from Maddox and the fact that he remained the same and there was no change with him. The setting and the drama was very memorable with the betrayals and so much action. I loved how it was all balanced out.
I recommend the book if you love dark romance with a very smart FMC and straightforward MMC with messy characters and so much drama.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Maddox and Allyn! Maddox had the best psycho/killer but protective vibe and phew the spice was spicing!!
There were a number of grammatical errors in this book that ordinarily would have completely thrown me off, but I was just really vibing with this plot. I could not put the book down🤌🏼, I had to know what happened next.
Toward the end it did feel like there were some parts that were maybe drawn out longer than necessary, but again, I was really feeling this couple and the overall story. This was absolutely worth a read!.

I enjoyed this book in a weird way. Not a bad weird, just weird. Like this book is definitely a thick read. So, that was one of my negatives for this book. It was long and it didn't really feel like it needed to be. So what ended up happening is that it felt like some of the changes the characters had emotionally were drastic at the end due to the build up taking a long time to happen. Another side effect of this was that there wasn't one concrete issue. There was multiple issues that made things seem to drag on. It made it seem like there was no end in sight or that the ending that we were going to get was going to be unsatisfactory. The only other negative I have is that if I could shake the FMC or give her some head smacks, I definitely would have. Some of her actions just made me wonder if she had common sense. Then she kind of wised up towards the end...a little. Other than that, I enjoyed this read. Like Maddox was a good MMC and everyone else you meet are characters that you get invested in, whether they are good or bad. I really wanted to know how things were going to work out with Maddox and Allyn seeing as she was engaged to Maddox's brother. Luckily things did end up working out for them. The road to getting there was quite the rollercoaster. There was a lot of emotions that were happening on both sides of the equation. Whether it was from the King's or from Allyn's family.
The spice in this book was Hot!! Like whew. Maddox and Allyn did not come here to play. The tension was high and the scenes were great! Solid 4 out of 5 for the spice. Allyn is the daughter of a ruthless women, but she is also the pawn in the game forced into an arranged marriage with Angelo King. His family is mafia, and their activities are cloaked in shadows.
Her new bodyguard seems to ruffle her feathers and rile up her lady parts at the same time. Oh, twisted the bodyguard Maddox is more than just the bodyguard. But of course, Allyn doesn’t know this as she acts out.
The storyline has a certain love triangle to as she is pulled between Maddox and Angelo. She may be required to marry Angelo, but her heart seems to want Maddox. Of course, their relationship complicates this very much. The angst and enemy to lovers between Maddox and Allyn is hot and steamy as they circle the forbidden.
The book does get steamy and more cryptic as you read. I do love Maddox morally grey character, but his communication skills leave something to be desired. Allyn goes from mafia princess to immature Stockholm syndrome just about every other chapter and Angelo is a piece of work.
An intimate affair with the bodyguard but there is more mystery than that in the book. However, this story is gritty, dark and dangerous. Okay I didn’t see that twist coming and it makes the family rivals more interesting.
Allyn becomes something sick and twisted toward the end of this story. The book is spicy, but the characters are very hard to read. Is this bully romance or mafia romance it is hard to tell which theme the writer is in. Either way the back and forth of power and influence is confusing.
Really with another twisted addition to the storyline not that we didn’t see it coming with the sizzling factor. I love that he would burn it all for her but the way this love story persists amongst the drama, violence and unexpected twists was more distracting than just a basic mafia romance.
Overall, this story is good, it has a very strong male character and a confusing female her naive personality to badass is there, but it is confusing for her to break character so much. I liked Maddox overall even if he was way more protective, bossy and violent than I expected. The sizzling scenes are spicy, and the violence is for a mature audience. This mafia romance read to me more like a bully romance but then it twisted back to the original plot. This story has a lot of great tropes and twists. Overall, I give this book 4 stars. I think the characters were interesting and the overall storyline, but the plot was a bit long winded and intense.

There was a lot of suspense, action and angst in this book.
I felt it read like there were two different parts, the first part was quite a standard story of a spoilt princess facing an arranged marriage.
The second part was much more darker, explosive and at times slightly unhinged. Overall, it was strangely addictive as I wanted to see how it ended.
The characters are very vividly depicted and some felt larger than life. There are a lot of twists and turns in the plot narrative as well as the characters themselves. Some twists you can kind of see coming, others not.
It is a very dark book featuring obsessive dark love and people need to be aware of possible triggers, as it can make for uncomfortable reading at times.
I'm aware this is a new authors and I think they are very good at pacing for thriller, action type books as well as creating larger than life characters. I'm intrigued to read future books by them as they hone their skill.

Sinful Promise is absolutely suspenseful and certainly a page turning mafia romance. I thought this book to be entertaining, captivating from start to finish and an enjoyable read. The characters are fabulously written and beautifully executed throughout the story. Sinful Promise is fantastically written, well balanced and beautifully executed by V. Morgan. This is the first story that I have read by V. Morgan and I absolutely loved it!!!! I couldn’t set it down for a single second because I found it to be absolutely brilliant. Sinful Promise follows the story of Allyn and Maddox. I loved learning about who these two phenomenal characters were as the main characters of Sinful Promise as well as seeing their journey come to fruition throughout the pages of the story. I would HIGHLY recommend Sinful Promise for anyone to checkout and give it a read.

I absolutely loved this book! I first stumbled upon the book online, and I couldn't get enough of it. I honestly can't believe that this published version is even better than the original!
If you’re a fan of dark romance (kinda) and steamy mafia tales, this book is a must-read. The possessive MMC, Maddox King, has stolen my heart and will forever be one of my favorite book boyfriends. His character is captivating, and the chemistry with Allyn is off the charts!
Every twist and turn kept me on the edge of my seat, and I loved how the author expanded on the original story, adding depth and richness to the characters. This book delivers all the intensity and passion you crave in a dark romance.
I can’t recommend it enough—if you enjoy a story that grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go, dive into this one! You won't regret it!

Sinful Pleasure is one I would say a book that come become a teleserye.
Maddox and Ally - their chemistry are undeniable even at just the few chapters of the book. I admired how the author made a character build up for Ally.
Conflict: Literally didn't know how the conflict will be resolved for both of the main characters and V.Morgan did a great work on applying twists over twists to help develop the story.
Twists: I have mentioned - it's twist over twist and I did not see all of these coming!
Spice: I am not really into spicy scenes but this book will not disappoint for those who are fan of this!
Overall rating this book a 4 out of 4!

This is a gripping mafia romance filled with tension, betrayal, and undeniable chemistry. Allyn Delgado finds herself trapped in an arranged marriage, but her attraction to Maddox King, her dangerously irresistible bodyguard, threatens to upend everything. Their connection is intense, and the stakes continue to rise as secrets unravel. I loved the dark, suspenseful atmosphere and the morally gray characters, particularly Maddox’s brooding yet protective nature. The twists kept me hooked, and the steamy moments added to the thrill. While Allyn’s character shifts sometimes felt inconsistent, the story delivered plenty of drama, passion, and surprises. This is perfect for you if you enjoy dark romance with forbidden attraction and high-stakes tension.

Allyn is forced into an arranged marriage to Angelo King, she is not happy about it at all, but her mother is a force to be reckoned with. Now that her engagement is about to be announced, she has a bodyguard, as her future husband is the heir to the King mafia. Maddox King is all mafia man, an interests Allyn more than he should. The chemistry between them sizzles even though it is wrong on so many levels. There are a lot of twists and turns in the story.

First off a big thank you to the author for inviting me to read her book as well as send me a copy of it , and second is I couldn't put it down once I started reading it , with each turn of the page I want to see what was going to happen next, in fact I needed to know. This book has me settling on the edge of my set with the banter between the two main characters, the twist and turns that came out of no where , the steamy hot secens, the lies and secrets that played into the story line . It's definitely a book series I'm looking forward to reading more of .

If you want a spicy, suspense-filled mafia romance book, Sinful Pleasure is the book for you! When Maddox King walks in, and you *feel* his presence, you know he is something to keep. Although Allyn knows better. But we don't blame her!!.

This was SPICY! I loved it! This was such a good dark romance but definitely check the trigger warnings but I highly recommend this. I will definitely be reading the next book. There’s really really good spice, mafia romance, twists, action, and just so much happens.
