Like a dark and dangerous hero, he came to my rescue when I least expected it.

In the midst of a terrifying attack, a mysterious stranger came to my aid. Fierce but gentle, he chased off my attacker, protected, and comforted me.

Before he left, my savior told me to call if I ever needed him.

Did I think about it? Absolutely. Matt was the most intriguing and handsome man I’d ever met.

But that was before my carefully-planned life fell into chaos. Before I began to suspect the fluke attack might be anything but random.

No one else believed me when I told them my story, and I couldn’t really blame them. Even to me, it sounded crazy. But there was just something about Matt that made me believe I could trust him.

Weeks later, I still couldn’t stop thinking about her.

I told myself I was worried about Isla’s safety, and that was true. Though the police dubbed her attack an unfortunate fluke, my gut warned me there might be more to it. That she might still be in danger and I wouldn’t be around the next time to help.

It was more than that, though. I liked Isla. Admired her bravery. And her eyes—a deep, mesmerizing violet—were burned into my memory.

As the days went by, I debated whether to call her. Because, for all my confidence on the battlefield as a former Green Beret, when it came to women, I always hesitated.

Then she called. Said she was in trouble and asked for my help. And once I heard her story, I knew she was right.

As a security expert for Blade and Arrow Security, it’s my job to protect. But with Isla, it’s so much more than just a job. It’s protecting the woman I’m falling for.

Guarded from Treachery has a sweetly protective hero, a strong and courageous heroine, a team of former Green Berets, lots of twists and turns, action and danger, forced proximity, and plenty of sweet and steamy moments. No cliffhangers and a happily-ever-after guaranteed! (Can be read as a standalone!)

Once again Gia melts your heart with alpha males that would burn the world for their women. Matt does the nerd & alpha well as a protector. Both Isla & Matt's venerabilities definitely touch & break your heart. The battle to stay safe & destruction of evil play a good match throughout the book. Got to love the camaraderie & bond these men & women have developed. Brilliant.

Guarded from Treachery is the fourth book in the Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team series. Gritty and addictive, this story combines action, love, and intrigue to create a thrilling page-turner. It's an emotionally charged tale and a military romantic suspense with a complex narrative, that will keep the readers engaged until the last letter, weaving together elements of danger, intrigue, romance, and charm.

Matt, a mysterious stranger, rescued Isla during a terrifying attack. Despite his gut feeling that there might be more to the story, Matt left telling Isla to call him if she ever needed his help. Although Isla suspects that the attack was not random, no one believes her when she shares her story. However, Matt's kind and gentle nature makes her feel like she can trust him. Matt, a former Green Beret turned security expert, is the gentlest soul, protector by nature but also fierce, caring, and lethal when he needs to be. Isla is the perfect blend of strong, determined, and courageous heroine. Even after weeks, Matt still thinks about Isla, a woman whose safety he is deeply concerned about and has growing feelings for. When Isla finally calls for help, Matt's protective instincts take over, driving him to ensure her safety. These two stole my heart. Both have a soft spot for each other even though they rather not admit it. The buildup was skillfully written, making it easy for the reader to become invested in these relatable characters who capture the heart with ease. Matt and Isla's story demonstrates that love can emerge from unexpected situations, fostering a deep sense of connection and intimacy through vulnerability and a bond that ultimately leads to a forever love.

Guarded from Treachery is a captivating story and a great addition to Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team series. With every page, the story becomes increasingly intriguing, drawing the reader in and rooting for a happy ending. Along the way, the reader enjoys tremendous camaraderie between teammates, forming a sense of found family, witty banter, and most of all, love.

With the death of her new boss, Mr. Remington, the family requests that Isla leave the little cottage she’d been staying at while working as the estate manager. She finds a new job and goes a bit crazy getting it and moving into an apartment, etc. Then while there she gets a stomach bug out of nowhere and ends up being sent home, however, on the way to her car, someone tries to abduct her and she is saved by Blade and Arrow operative, Matthew Cross. Now, I knew Matt was hot from previous books, but whoa, Holy Hotness! Batman! lol. Isla Nightingale begins to have a really bad month or so. As a former Green Beret, Matt is so awesome at fighting, plus he is a big computer nerd. I love all of the people on the Texas team of B & A, as well as the one in Sleepy Hollow. Matt is a bit envious of the three of the team that have found their other half- Dante, Xavier, & Niall. With Isla, he thinks she might be the one.

With the rest of the team but him away, he is on over watch and protective duty for the women- Lucy, Sarah & Jade. During that, he gets a phone call from Isla and finds out that more stuff have happened since he last saw her. I totally freaked out at all of it. I began chewing on my nails, muttering curse words and punching my bed and pillows. The fight scenes were awesome and I didn’t know Matt had it in him to be super romantic! Wow. I’m so proud of him. My heart broke and I cried when I found out about their pasts. Finding out everything - the total truth of Isla’s sitch- blew my mind. Omg. Omg. Isla is an inspiration on how she deals with everything throughout the book, I’d have been hyperventilating and screaming before the 6th chapter if it happened to me. If you are soft hearted, like I am, have tissues ready. But, the book was also fun, funny, I laughed a lot and squeed a few times. When the book got steamy, I squeed a lot. lol. I can’t wait to see what Rhi and Erik’s books are like. Plus, I so want Matt’s brother, Levi to have a book too.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This is a new to me author. I was a bit worried about starting with the 4th book in the series but I had no problems jumping in and not feeling like I was missing things. I do have to say reading about the side characters makes me want to know more about them and will go back to read their stories.
Isla was attacked in a parking garage while leaving work one afternoon when a heroic stranger saved her. Then he stays and comforts her while the police investigate afterwards, he gives her his number to call if she needed him. After being attached a second time and feeling like she was being watched she tried reaching out to the police and her parents all who told her she sounded crazy. The only person she could think to turn to was her rescuer Matt. But once he heard her story would he believe her would he help her or would he be like all the rest.
All Matt could think about was Isla after saving her from the attack. When Isla finally called and asked for help, he jumped at the chance. Had her drive to him since he was on duty protecting others at the time. After hearing her story, he knew they could help her knew there was something strange going on and he was going to protect her no matter what the cost. Matt and his group jump in with their investigation of what is going on with Isla.
I could not put this book down once I started it. I had to know what and how things happened to Isla. Between the Mystery of what happened to Isal and why she was being sought out and Matta and Isla relationship there was never a dull moment. I enjoyed meeting the side characters and want to know more about each of them. I loved watching Matt and Isla go from strangers to the relationship that evolved. I loved the nickname Matt gave Isla, Isles.
I enjoyed this book and will defiantly be going back to read the first 3 books not because I feel I have to know what was going on in this one but because I want to know more of the guys Matt works with.

Gia Cobie delivers another thrilling, heart-pounding installment in the Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team series with "Guarded from Treachery". This book has everything I love in romantic suspense: a fierce, protective hero, a strong and courageous heroine, and a plot filled with danger, twists, and undeniable chemistry.

From the moment Matt rescues Isla during a terrifying attack, their connection crackles with intensity. Matt, a former Green Beret turned security expert, is the perfect blend of strength and vulnerability, especially as he navigates his growing feelings for Isla. Isla's bravery and determination make her a standout heroine who refuses to back down, even when her life is thrown into chaos.

The story strikes the perfect balance between action-packed moments and heartwarming romance. I loved the forced proximity and the sweet, steamy scenes that showcased their deepening bond. The dynamic between the team members at Blade and Arrow Security added even more depth to the story.

Gia Cobie's writing is engaging and vivid, pulling you into every moment of suspense and passion. The fact that it can be read as a standalone is a bonus, but I guarantee you'll want to dive into the rest of the series after this.

If you're a fan of protective heroes, strong heroines, and stories filled with love, danger, and happily-ever-afters, "Guarded from Treachery" is a must-read. I loved every page and stayed up way too late because I had to read it in one go!

Oh, I loved this book. One of those where we just can't quite put it down because we need a stopping point in the book and unfortunately Gia does not give me that. It's the only thing I didn't get in the book. (I can live with it.) Matt and Isla crack me up both are too shy and concerned about the other person’s feelings to just take a chance and say, "Hey going out on a limb here, but falling for you and wondered if you're going to catch me or let me fall?"

It's one of those pure by chance meetings and the world seems to tilt in such a way you just can't get that other person out of your mind. They just keep sliding back in when you least expect it. Matt is the computer geek of the B & A team and is a bit awkward at times in how to phrase things, Luckly for him Isle understands what he is trying to say and do.

As they spend more time together, they go down that road of does she/he want more or less of me? We have all had those head talks and Gia nailed Matt and his constant not knowing if he should push or not push her for answers. He is self-confident in every aspect of his life except in telling her how he feels. But I'd have to say when it comes to protecting her, he is a true killer. And though she doesn't want him to, she feels the love he has for her in his actions.

A new twist was her pregnancy and how Matt became a dad. It's not just being a bio dad that makes you a dad. I loved that twist. Highly recommend the book just realize as with all Gia's stories putting the book down is tough just start early in the day.

Matt arrives in Dallas adding even more security to her home, but after another attempt is made at her doctor’s office, he convinces her to come to the Blade and Arrow compound. He knows he can keep her safe there as he and his team work to find out why she is in danger. His feelings for have evolved from protector to friend and maybe something more, but is it too soon and could she ever be interested in him? There is a lot on the line as they work to unravel the scheme that has ensnared her, as it will mean taking down some of the most dangerous and wealthy involved. WOW! A simply wonderful read, great characters and a storyline that will keep you riveted
This has been another simply wonderful read that I have been so looking forward to and I guarantee that you will find the plot as captivating and totally riveting as books I have read in the bast and I guarantee that other readers will be as blown away as myself.
Matt and Isla meet when she is attacked and as well as saving her, he actually stays with Isla and cares and comforts during the police interrogation and explains that should she need any help or comfort to simply telephone and he will come to her at once.
Strange things begin to happen to Isla and as she tries to discover who is behind these happenings she also wants to ensure that she can find a solution when this fails, she reaches ot to Matt who as promised comes to her assistance, together they jointly work to discover who is behind the incidents.
This was a read filled with tenderness and love and attentiveness and a couple that are fighting alongside each other to help discover who the individual is that has been frightening her.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

This book is great and I loved the banter between Isla and Matt. They originally met when Matt rescued Isla from a terrifying attack. He was fierce but yet gentle and he chased off my attacker and then proceeded to protect and comfort me. Before he left he gave me his card and told me to call if I ever needed him again. I thought of Matt often as he was the most intriguing and handsome man I'd ever met. And now I am starting to realize the attack on me before was not a fluke and my carefully planned life is in chaos. That attack was not random and the police do not want to help me. No one will believe me when I tell them what is going on and I hardly believe it myself anymore.

I had debated calling Isla just to make sure everything was okay but I hesitated afraid to make the first more. I admired her bravery and her eyes are so beautiful, a deep mesmerizing violet, that I can never forget. Then one day out of the blue she calls and tells me she is in trouble again. And once I heard her story I knew she was right, someone was out to get her. As a security expert it is my job to protect but with Isla it might be more then a job. It is starting to be protect the woman I am falling for.

Guarded From Treachery is a romantic suspense where the twists don’t stop. When Isla is in danger, coincidence brings Matt to her rescue. Though their first encounter was brief, neither can forget about the other. As the danger persists and weird things start happening, Isla reaches out to Matt and the Blade and Arrow team for help. Just when they think she is safe, danger finds a way to sneak in again and again testing their strength and resilience.

I have to say, Matt is my favorite Hero from the Blade and Arrow Security team. He had this endearing charming combo of awkwardness and strength that made it impossible not to fall for him. He had my heart clenching and my cheeks blushing the way he stumbled over himself at times. Isla and Matt are perfection together! I absolutely loved watching how their relationship blossomed - it was raw and beautiful.

Filled with suspense, action and twists- just when you think you have seen it all, Gia drops keeps it coming and it will have your jaw dropping and needing more. Guarded From Treachery is now available!

What you can expect and love about this book:
• Dark conspiracy
• Extra twisty
• Sweet & steamy
• Forced proximity
• Protective hero
• Found family
• Security team

Gia has done it again. Every book I read from this series becomes my favourite and yet there is more to come.

This is the story of Matt and Isla and after sparks fly from their first meeting sudden meeting, where Matt intercedes to help her as she is being attacked.

So there is an instant attraction, as can sometimes happen in moments of stress, nevertheless they initially walk away from each other for their own reasons.
But when Isla needs help, its Matt she calls on.
I really loved this, Matt is a strong protector, yet he had his own vulnerabilities and insecurities, which only made him more interesting. Isla is a strong woman facing un unexpected difficulties, through no fault of her own, and she rises to the challenge with great fortitude, yet she too shows her vulnerable side.

With unexpected twists and a late revelation of the instigator of Islas problems, this is a book that kept me guessing until the very end. I cannot wait for the final book in this series. I just know it’s gong to be epic!

Gia has done it again!! Just when I know I have read my favorite Gia Cobie book she writes another that takes my favorite spot. This book grabs ahold of you and just won't let go. It's absolutely terrifying what Isla has to go thru, I can completely understand how people would think she is lying or that she herself thought she was having a break down. That is what makes Matt so amazing, he believes in her from the beginning. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. If you like a book with lots of twist and turns, that have your emotions going from scared to anger to absolute terror you will love this book! I must say, I'm extremely disappointed in the police that Isla has to deal with! I know there are some officers who are just like the ones described in this story. I like to believe they are few and far between, I have deep respect for the men and women who put themselves, literally on the line to protect us everyday. That's why I felt such anger at these officers, they should have believed and protected Isla!! I highly recommend this book!!!

I did like this but the plot was really silly, it didn’t explain how things happened, and Matt is seriously annoying.

I wanted to love this book but I didn’t. The plot was really silly at times and it never explained a lot of it. Matt is constantly thinking he doesn’t want to rush Isla into a relationship, so Isla is seriously insecure about their relationship. There’s hardly any mention of the other characters again in this one and I missed Danté and Neill. Again there’s loads and loads of pages of Matt and Isla’s thoughts and feelings and it’s boring.

Matt meets Isla when he saves her from a man attacking her, for some bizarre reason he doesn’t ask for her phone number so weeks later he can’t stop thinking about her but can’t contact her. Isla has been thinking about Matt but doesn’t do anything about it, even though she had his number. When things start to happen to Isla and the police think she’s lying, she gets in contact with him then. When things become dangerous for her Matt moves her into the B&A building and they’re soon madly in love. I found it really hard to believe in these two as a couple because they hardly talk to each other.

It was okay.

This is book 4 in the Blade and Arrow Bravo team books and follows Matt (tech guru) and Isla.

Matt is such a sweetie, definitely not the smooth ladies man you expect in this sort of book. Isla meets Matt after he saves her from a seemingly random attack. They part ways and he doesn't expect to see her again. Isla's life goes from a random attack to straight up nightmare territory. With the authorities unwilling to help her due to disbelief, she calls on a man who she hopes may be able to save her again.

I liked Isla's character and her determination not to be cowed by life. Matt is the IT geek in a greek god body, who is not all that he seems. If he can put his foot in it, he will and is prone to self recrimination and guilt regarding past oversights, which weren't actually his responsibility.

Another good book in the Blade and Arrow series, filled with suspense, intregue and sexy times with a golden retriever hero and a heroine who isn't actually losing her mind.

I love Gia Cobie's Blade and Arrow series, every one of her books has so many twists and turns, non-stop action and of course danger that you just have to read it. The characters, in this book, Matt and Isla are perfect for each other.
Isla has just started a new job after her previous employer died and she's forced from her home that came with her job. Suddenly she becomes frightened at weird things that are happening, she finally contacts B & A Security. When she finds out she is pregnant she can't understand how, she contacts her family who turns her away. She hasn't had any relationships for quite some time.
When Isla realizes she is being followed, Matt saves from being abducted. With the B & A family, the FBI and some of Matt's other connections, they begin to find a network putting together a conspiracy, finding why Isla is a target. And a much larger danger looming from a diabolical group.

Safety

Book 4 of the Blade and Arrow Bravo Team brings us Matt's story. We have loved him and his relentless help in solving cases and keeping people safe. This time when he rescues someone he can't forget her. Little did he know that night would change everything.

Isla doens't know what is happening but she can't get anyone to believe her. Sometimes she isn't sure to believe herself. The only person she feels she can turn to is a stranger that saved her and she can't forget.

I love Matt and Isla's story. As they race to keep her safe and discover what is really going on they find a future neither believed was possible. This one is full of action, sweet romance and the next book boyfriend you weren't expecting. I love this series and if you haven't read any of the books yet this is the purfect one to get you hooked.

Oh man…this one was a real doozy! I’d fallen in love with nerdy Matt Cross during the previous Blade and Arrow books. What I never realized was what a HUNK was hiding under that shy, nerdy exterior…he is pretty wonderful on all fronts! Then we meet Isla…who Matt rescues while she’s being attacked in a parking lot. From that point on, it is pretty much nonstop action. Grab a cold drink, some snacks, and a few tissues—you’re not going to want to put this book down until you reach the end.
The storyline is really interesting; the characters are amazing; the plot twists and turns are somewhat distressing in places; but that HEA is so worth the journey! Gia Cobie has a real winner with this series AND this book. You need to add this one to your TBR list right now—don’t wait. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was totally mesmerized by the tale.) ❤️❤️

This is a affinity read 💫
I want to thank the author for sending me an ARC of this book 📖
I really loved the romance between Matt and Isla!!!!🥰🥰
I loved how protective Matt was over Isla and also he believed her when she needed help even with the police not believing her. I loved Matt’s whole team and their partners and that they also helped keep her safe.
I even loved how he watched out her and her baby and at the end told her that even though the baby wasn’t his. He would treat it has his own. I felt sad about what happened to Isla 🥲🥲. But I am so happy that Matt and Isla got an happy ending with their baby. And I can’t wait to read the other books in this series and any upcoming books too.

Gia Cobie has once again proven why she’s one of my go-to authors. This book is an exciting blend of danger, suspense, and romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The plot is fresh and full of unexpected twists, making it impossible to predict what will happen next. Matt and Isla make an incredible couple—Matt is both caring and protective, while Isla is a strong, brave heroine who faces every challenge head-on. I also loved reconnecting with the other characters from the Blade and Arrow teams. The sense of camaraderie and "family" within the team adds so much depth to the story. This book is truly unputdownable, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a thrilling, emotional read.

Guarded From Treachery is an emotional and action packed rollercoaster ride that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. The storyline is one I've never seen before and is totally intense and succinct. But what really entices the reader is the characters and their actions that really give weight and flow to this story. This author always writes a good story but no one writes the people in the story better than Gia Cobie. Her books leave you breathless as you laugh, cry, and hold your breathe with each action. Matt and Isla are two of my favorite characters in this series and are perfect for each other. Family and friends working together for a HEA ending that you know you will always get with this author. I highly recommend this series.

Matt meets Isla when she's leaving work early, she's not feeling well, he saves her from an attack. He's attracted to her and gives her his card, he works for Blade & Arrow, and tells her to contact him, if needed.
She doesn't, but all sorts of weird things start happening, she realises she needs help and can't get Matt out of her mind. She contacts him and learns so much about herself, her past relations and how independent she is. Matt is great, he supports her but tries not to be too overprotective, although he finds that really difficult!
Can they work out what's going on and why?

This was so good! It was great to read of a hero that wasn't arrogant and had emotions.

When Isla was followed and saved from being abducted by Blade and Arrow operator Matt, that was the start of all her troubles.

Isla was strong and brave but also on the verge of thinking she was crazy but turning to Matt helped to work out the true extent of what was going on. Matt was strong but didn't have a great self confidence but he knew he wanted Isla. Their connection and chemistry grew quickly.

Non stop action, danger and suspense., wrapped in a beautiful romance that I really enjoyed.

This author had an amazing way of putting you in the story and I can't wait for more! Just amazing!!

When you have nowhere else to turn…

Isla was in a dangerous situation and each time she reached out, no one would help. In fact, they questioned her motives and even her sanity. She had no answers and wasn’t safe. Until Matt stepped up and became more than she could have hoped for…

This is the latest instalment in the Blade & Arrow Security Bravo Team series and it had the drama, suspense and camaraderie that is part and parcel in these stories. Their group continues to expand and Isla fit right in. Here was the community she needed to figure things out and not only survive, but thrive.

This author’s easy writing style meant the pages full of tension and heart were over way too soon…

*I happily reviewed this story

I am always ready to dive into one of Gia’s exciting well written storylines. This one did not disappoint as it was a very unique plot line. This is the story of Matt, a tech guru for B&A, and Isla, a young woman caught is a crazy danger filled situation. Their connection was strong from their initial dramatic meeting. I felt the raw vulnerabilities that they both felt as they traversed the evil surrounding Isla and their growing relationship. Loved Matt’s tender nerdiness and his protective alphaness. Isla’s resilience was certainly admirable. As always the team members rally around giving aid, support, humor and acceptance. Wonderful read and darling HEA.

Fast paced, emotional, funny, sweet, lots of action! Matt saves Isla, a stranger, from an attacker and his attention is caught. When Isla suddenly seems to be the target of danger, he throws himself into protecting her. They were both sweet and thoughtful and giving and their biggest fault was that they were BOTH reticent to actually tell each other what they felt for and what they wanted from each other. Both had had pretty crappy childhoods which made them independent but also made them insecure about expecting anything good or nurturing from others. But nice guys don’t ALWAYS finish last! I loved this book and couldn’t put it down.

Matt, a tongue-tied Alpha male and Isla, a strong heroine. Matt saves Isla from an attack in a parking lot. He helps her through the police questioning and gives her his contact information so if she ever needs him, she can call. Indeed, she does need him, and we were off on an amazing story. Matt along with his other Blade and Arrow Security family pull out all the stops for Isla. This is an action packed; emotion filled story of Dark multi-faceted adventure with Isla finding family and her HEA. I loved this book as much as the previous ones I read in the series. It is the 4th in the series and can be read alone but why do that when they are all wonderful reads. Gia Coby never disappoints!!!

‘Guarded from Treachery” is another Gia Cobie winner. Isla is being attacked, and Matt saves her from injury. She has had multiple attempts on her life and every time she went to the police, they didn’t believe her. Fortunately, Matt believed her and brought here to Blade and Arrow for protection and discover who wants her harmed.

The plot against Isla is deeper than she and Matt thought. Blade and Arrow members are determined to find out who is behind the attacks and why. There is surprise after surprise in this story that will keep the reader engaged from the first page. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the fourth book in this impressive series and this is Matt and Iska’s story.
Matt is a former green beret who is now a member of Blade and Arrow security, and Isla is new in town. When Isla is attacked it is Matt becomes her savoir as he chases off her attacker and protects and comforts her.
This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, twists and turns, humor, witty banter, forced proximity, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, and sweet addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I love the book. A twist that you don't see coming. Isla is attacked outside of work and is saved by Matt, an Blade and Arrow Security agent. He leaves his number with her and tells her to call him if she needs anything. He is anxious to hear from her and finally she calls and tells him that she is scared and that someone is following her. She went to the police and they blew her off. Matt is determined to help her and believes her story when no one else does. Can he keep her safe and find out who's behind trying to kidnap her? Action, suspense and a twist. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Isla has been having some unusual happenings here lately that have her a little on edge. Telling the police didn't do anything because no one believed her. Matt is a hacker who has made a family out of his teams and their families. He's her only hope. This is very intense and had me so involved in trying to figure out who and why they are going after her. Family is who has your back ,is there for you, and loves you no matter what. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
