Although I agree with the author’s core message, I was lost in the narrative because of a distanced approach. The author speaks like a professor, an expert even, telling us what to do and how to do it. And that’s what creates the distance, which lacks empathy with me, her audience in this instance. I prefer a more personal approach, a discussion as if you were sharing with a friend.
