This is an extremely passionate short piece of work. So much was packed into about 80 or so pages. It had a hint of Handmaid’s Tale vibes and Daddy’s Sinner vibes where a cult of men are running their version of the world and women are nothing more than a tool for them to use and manipulate.

I’m not typically one for feminine rage stories. I love men, I liked being cared for, and I am an Independent with my own personal feels and views that I don’t share publicly because the world we live in will eat you alive unless you only agree with their opinions and also it’s NO ONE’s business but my own, butttt I enjoy challenging myself and also reading things I think others would enjoy as well so I can give well rounded referrals. Also I love reading anything by certain authors and Darma is one of them. All this being said I am very aware and not at all blind to the fact that in some extents the underlying message of these types of stories is unfortunately very real and I am grateful that I live a life of freedom.

This is a dark, fast paced story that wraps you in from the very beginning. You can feel the fire burning and the see the power she is emanating as she starts to claim who she is. It was a fierce piece that I really truly enjoyed.

Wow, I really liked this. Reading it gave me a sense of release I didn’t even know I needed. A fantastic feminine rage story. Rainn’s life was terrible, to say the least, and I just wanted to save her. The men were horrendous and got exactly what they deserved. Even though this was a short read, it delivered so much.

I just LOVE feminine rage! Her own father gave her up for a better status in this stupidly corrupt society. Their brutality and his betrayal ended in ALL their deaths and it was amazing!

• Honestly, anything Darma writes I’m going to absolutely demolish and love. That being said could I read an 800 page book of this, yes. A series, oh hell yes. 😂 But she already knows this.

• Rainn, our babe. When we meet her you are absolutely cringing at her reality and what women go through and what is the “norm” in their society at Sacris Grove. The Creed will make you want to scream. This group of men who basically strip away the rights and dignity of females and they/men hold all the power.

• The feminine rage aspects had me smirking so hard, because, stands up and claps, ABSOLUTELY. GET IT BABE. RAGE. 🔪🔥

• Also did you know? The first three months of proceeds will be donated to RAINN.

• Do I recommend? A million times yes.

Reverence by Darma Day

Please please check your trigger and content warnings before reading this

This story is for all the women out there that have struggled with this. It is feminine rage and we love it. Just remember you are not alone

Rainn definitely goes through something traumatic and it is something that no one should ever go through. She doesn't understand why things have to be this way. Things used to be so different before she moved into this school.

Rainn goes through something that no one should ever have to go through and the one person who was supposed to protect her walked away when she needed him the most. She fought back and showed that she wasn't going to let men treat her the way she has been treated by all the men around her.

This short story is EVERYTHING. Especially given our country’s current state, nothing more fitting than a short, complex, and packing a punch story of feminine rage.

The first line of Darma’s acknowledgment at the end says it all: “This story was born from real fear of society’s downfall..”

She encapsulated the fear women can and may soon face in our world. While the story is gut wrenching, it leaves such an impact.

This story is something incredibly special 🥹 Five stars doesn’t even begin to cover it; this story provided a piece of healing that I didn’t even know that I needed. After decades of blaming myself for every SA, I can finally feel the burden lifting of knowing it wasn’t my fault, and people do care. ❤️‍🩹

“I believe you. It’s not your fault. You didn’t deserve this. I’m sorry this happened to you. You are not alone and there’s people who want to help.” 🖤

It’s a fast read, but it packs a punch!

It’s a society/cult if you wish, where men are the hierarchy and women helots to serve without a voice. Our FMC, is starting to believe all is not as it should be and she remembers a time before.

One fateful evening, her world as she knows it disintegrates and her rage knows no bounds. Please read the triggers as some scenes may affect you.

Honestly, you enter this short story and you are in the thick of it straightaway, it proceeds this way until the end. This is not a romance, there is no love or tenderness in sight 🤭 It is well written, and holds your attention.

this sh*t is fkn dark man. but boy is it BEAUTIFUL... as a woman, damn i felt my whole body stand with this book on a cellular level.

"may the devil call you home & the pits of hell swallow you whole"

this was my first ever book from darma and i couldn't have chosen a better one,i love short stories & in the state of the world right now,a feminine rage story felt very fitting. it's safe to say darma did not dissapoint, the writing is dark.. it is not a romance in any capacity,it is brutal in so many aspects,it has horror elements and it is truly one of those books i think i feel on a personal level.

although a work of fiction i do feel like this is real world issues to some extent and i applaud darma hugely for shining a light of women & i can't even lie i felt so incredibly empowered reading rainn's story... bonus points because i love the name rainn anyways for personal reasons🥹

the writing is so beautifully done,i can't even explain it but darma's style is so easy to read but also feels very complex at the same time, when i tell you i had to stop and google what some of the words meant im not even joking😂

my heart broke in the beginning,i had to stop for breaks,i had to collect my thoughts,i had to stop crying at some parts & then towards the end i felt the victorious feeling that rainn did.. i felt hardcore for her,she truly is a powerful fmc if their ever was one!

absoultely no spoilers but let's just say. as a women. you need to read this🫀

quotes i loved???? i'd love to share them with you🥹

"my body is being served up to these self righteous men who boast fabricated morals, but are nothing more than inadequate boys trying to play god"

"bound by blood, sealed by fire,my loyalty to the creed will never expire" (this one matters in the book, take notes!)

ratings???🥹

character/charcters?? 5⭐️ rainn is the strongest fmc,all the other men are wasteful pieces of sh*t but rainn will forever live rent free in my head! i loved her so much!!

plot?? 5⭐️ the plot line, the writing style, the detail it all flowed perfectly, for a short story i feel it's hard to get a good plot line most of the time (unless your darma day obviously😜) but this was done perfectly! it was easy to understand,it was detailed and most of all enjoyable to read, even with the horror elements!

spice?? 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (v graphic spice, not smutty at all.. not a romance in anyways,it's vulgar and graphic and stomach turning but the spice is there for sure and it's definitely going to make you sweat.. for the wrong reasons🙃)

overall??? 5⭐️ an incredible short story,i literally have no complaints and not a single fault or critique so 5 felt super fitting!! & i can't wait to read more of darma's books🥰

When I initially discovered that this short story would not have a traditional happy ending, I hesitated. I considered waiting for Darma's next release, uncertain if I was prepared for an emotionally challenging narrative. However, learning that part of the proceeds would support victims of sexual assault, abuse and incest changed my perspective, compelling me to engage with the story.
From the very first page to the closing lines, the author notably evokes a powerful emotional response. I found myself struggling with intense anger and disbelief as the events unfolded, particularly in witnessing the harrowing experiences survived by the MFC. The narrative is raw and highlights the grim realities faced by countless women, children, and even men in today’s world. This story is both deeply affecting and thought-provoking.
By the end, I felt a sense of catharsis, a release of tension that had built up throughout the narrative. I was left wanting to embrace and celebrate the MFC for her strength and courage. The story, while fictional, serves as a stark reminder of the real-life atrocities that take place in our society.
This is not a tale for those seeking comfort or conventional resolutions. It is a narrative that challenges, provokes, and stays with you long after the final page. Yet, beyond its literary impact, the story stands as a testament to Darma's courage in tackling such a sensitive subject matter. Knowing that my purchase contributes to a cause that supports survivors only deepens my appreciation for this work.
The author has crafted a powerful piece of fiction that resonates on both an emotional and social level. For readers ready to tackle uncomfortable truths and support an important cause, this short story is a necessary read.

WOW! WOW! WOW!! I’m OBFREAKINSESSED with Rainn!

When I tell you, I would have happily read a series on this book, or a 500 pages, I would’ve ate, and cheered Rainn on throughout her reckoning. “SO IT BE”🖤

Not ONLY is Darma Day, a talented author,
All proceeds from 02/20/25 - 05/20/25 will be donated directly to RAINN. Absolutely phenomenal!!

This novella is dark/pitch.black, and will take you on a journey, from anger, to rage, to cheering loudly for our girl RAINN, while she discovers who she is.

After “The reckoning” Rainn’s father moved them both to Sacris Grave, a dystopian cült, where women don’t matter, their body’s sole purpose, is to be forcibly used for men’s pleasure.

“We are all just pawns in this sick game.
They made the rules, then just sat back and watched.
Sacris Grave a pretty facade built by egotistical men seeking power they never earned and certainly don’t know how to use it.”

A spark, a flame, is sometimes, all we need to get sh!t done, to ignite us, so we don’t remain silent, and Rainn didn’t disappoint, she understood the assignment, and delivered her own brand I justice.

“There will be victory from děäth tonight, and I will be the one to bask in the glory, not the grave.”

One of my top 10 fav feminine rage books!

Reverence is a dark novella by Darma Day.

This is one powerful piece. If you want to read something which reflects how women feel in the current society we are in, this is the one to read. Rainn does everything society and the men of the world tell her she should do to be the perfect female. However, even perfection isn't enough for those that truly have no say over you to take advantage and demand what they want, with no thought to the pain of others.

There does come a point where women will fight back for themselves. They will no longer be seen as worthless and just there to make the lives of others better. No matter how much you put someone down, they will finally snap and take back what is rightfully theirs. This is a story where Rainn keeps getting taken advantage of, but she finds the strength to demand what she wants, no matter the cost.

I really liked the feelings of female empowerment, even though we did have to see a lot of darkness to get there. This is not a light read, but it is so worth it to see how someone will not be pushed down and made to feel worthless anymore.

Wow just wow!

This incredible Dark Feminine rage story is incredible, it follows Rainn (the FMC) on her journey in her home which is sort of like a C.ů.l.t. it's a society run by men to serve men under the guise that it was created to save people from the ruin in the outside world (Society's downfall)
Women are seen but not heard and there to serve.
But Rainn can see this is wrong because she wasn't born there, she misses her old life. Through the story things go terribly wrong for her, and her dad pulls the ultimate betrayal, which makes her snap, leading to the feminine rage side of things.

Though this is a short read is is jam packed and an amazingly written story I am sure many can relate to in one way or another. And the best part? The first 3 months of procèeds will be d0nated RAINN you can check that out at the start of the book for more info 😍🥰

Reverence is a fast paced novella filled with so much plot and heart squeezing emotions. This book gives a hard throat punch to the feels and I thought it was incredibly well written. The thoughts and feelings of Rainn throughout her ordeals are deeply felt. I was quite uncomfortable at times and that means, mission accomplished Darma Day. The emotional evolution hits when not “I’ve had enough” f❥ck you snap comes, and it sends a thriller chill through your body. It’s is quite cathartic. Never wavering from her mission the justice served is most satisfying. So much hate and disgust towards some of these characters made this “not traditional happy ending” gratifying to me. This is a very dark story that sucks you in from page one and consumes you heart and soul. Reverence will sit with you for a while in the best of ways. So I’ll repeat mission accomplished.

This is a very short one sit read that packs a punch. Darma did a phenomenal job with this feminine rage story and left me wanting a full-length novel of what happens next. Please be very mindful of the content as this contains dark themes with details that could be triggering.
This has a very cult like feel to it where men are the hierarchy where it’s a man-made world and women are meant to be seen and not heard and their only purpose is to serve the men with whom their chosen for.
After Rainn’s father uses her purity to gain rank in the society, Rainn feels she has nothing left of herself. After that one fateful night Rainn breaks the chains of society that she was raised to believe in and strays from all the beliefs that were forced upon her as a child, and we get a front row seat to watch the world burn.

"May the devil call you home and the pits of hell swallow you whole."

I can not stress this enough with this story, PLEASE CHECK TWs. Your mental health matters.

Now, this was one of the shortest stories I've ever read, but also one of the roughest ones. Rainn is every single one of us. Her story is what every woman fears, but also what every one of us can become when we don't let our voice be silenced.

I think it is so important that stories like this one are told and shared, especially in this day and age, with everything that is going on in the world. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful to Darma for sharing this story with the world.

“When they demand our silence, is when we scream our rage.”

the way I can devour anything Darma writes. this story came at a time that I know I and many others needed.

THE way she makes you FEEL so much in such a short story. this isn’t a dark romance, but a dark story filled with utter rage. Watching Rainn come out of her shell, question the men around her and take back what’s hers was so empowering.

“There will be victory from death tonight, and I will be the one to bask in the glory, not the grave.”

I can easily think of a few politicians that would love Sacris Crove, and I wish I could send Rainn after all of them.

thank you so so much for this story Darma and letting me beta and arc read on it. I will revisit our girl Rainn every time I need some rage <3

**CHECK FOR TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING FOR YOU OWN MENTAL HEALTH**

In Darmas trek into feminine rage, the struggle was real to read this at times. I had to take a break and reset myself. This story takes you through a gauntlet of emotions as if you walk beside Rainn through it all. You could feel the sadness, loss of hope, confusion, hurt, violation, anger, rage and what I hope at the end was satisfaction (because that was my big f#@k yes girl moment)

This a very real fear for any woman and could at the drop of a hat become our reality. At the end of it all it's a reminder, to always fight, to never just give up and give in, stand strong, and remember you matter

Darma you killed it with this one!!

Your mental heath matters. Read TW. This is not a romance book. The message of this book is truly scary. Just think that this story could be our future with how everything is going. Darma did an amazing job with this story. It’s a strong message and it really hits you. I have been so stressed with how things are going in our government and this book hits me hard. I fear what Rainn fears, her rights taken away, but rainn is a strong girl and she doesn’t go down without a fight. A reminder, you matter!

Daaaayyuummmm..read this book and all I could say afterwards was damn. Darma has written a dark fiction piece and what’s amazing about it, is that the proceeds go to a great cause when buying this work of art. Rainn is amazing in this book, she didn’t give up in the end which I admire, she fought. This book portrays cult-like thinking in my opinion, but its manipulation and trying to control women’s rights are intense. You get the feels in this book. Well worth the read, short but mighty, brava Darma.

Wow what a story!!! This is a short story and boy does it pack a punch. I've read a few books now by Darma and I have to say she's one of the few authors that just know how to get you in your feels and just loves to hit you in the gut with amazing stories.

Rainn is a strong FMC and what she goes through in such a short amount of time is heartbreaking but that comeback and the way she fights back against the men who assault her!!! Wow this story packs a punch and yes it's a rage revenge story but the message behind it is one of importance.

Wow! What a freaking dark and rage filled read. But not in a bad way, it was an excellent read. Farms packed a punch in this short read.

My heart BROKE for Rainn so many times during the book. Wow! Just reading it had me filled with rage and anger and it wasn’t even me experiencing it all. To think someone would have to endure what she did, but she is so tough. And then…girlllllll…she let her rage take over! I was cheering her on, darkness and all.

Drama you killed it with this book, loved it!

As always, check your tiggers before reading.

This is not a romance. Please check your triggers*

This was a short but charged read. Darma's writing was not only beautiful but absolutely powerful. You can tell she poured so much thought and emotion into Rainn's story. As I read Rainn's story, it drew a visceral reaction from me. My heart broke, and I held back tears. These monsters thought they could own her, take what wasn't there's to take, but in the end, Rainn like most survivors... Rainn persevered, and she gave them what they deserved.

5/5🌟 I always enjoy Darma’s writing and this one didn’t disappoint! This is a short, but passionate and powerful story similar to The Handmaid’s Tale but also hits home given the current climate. It’s filled with feminine rage along with an important message that far too many women can relate to, but ultimately also provides a sense of empowerment at how strong us women are. I really appreciate that the author is going to donate a portion of proceeds to the RAINN organization as well. ❤️

This is not my normal read since it is not a romance but a feminine rage read. I couldn’t help but feel for Rainn and what she is taught and ultimately suffers for her rage to manifest. It is short read under 80 pages but it don’t feel rushed and you still get a look at what her past was to how life is now. It is well written with care and detail throughout the story. I easily could have read this as a full length novel. Has the Handmaids Tale vibes.

Everything Darma has written while all very different have been great well written and worth the time to read and this one is no different. Absolutely check triggers before picking this one up.

My body, mine.
His body, mine.
Rainn don’t stop!!!!

I am flabbergasted by the amount of detail and story put into these 67 pages. With current times this book is beyond fitting. The feminine rage in this book is top tier. Rainn is a complete bada$$ and taught The Creed what it means to FAFO.

I cannot wait for this anthology to release so I have the pleasure of reading them all.

I’ll be back to add to this. I just needed to get that out immediately.

The best short story I have read in a couple yrs!
This short story is everything to do with feminine rage.
Rain (FMC) is in a dystopian world, where Men are the lords of the world in a religious/cult like setting. This is not a romance, so much happens to her in a short time, that it will anger you, you will literally feel it in your chest. It definitely gives off handmaid's tales and dark lord vibes, if thats your thing, you should read it.
Check your trigger warnings.

This is the type of book we need more of, especially now. It feeds and fuels your soul and heals your heart. It may seem like so over dramatized from reality, but it's really not. Unfortunately, I think many women can relate to this book. For me, feeling helpless, and even when other see they don't say or do anything. Feeling alone.

Hopefully, this book will make you feel seen and heard. Give you strength and hope.

This book was a nice little short story of a woman, Rainn Davids, who is in Sacris Grove and stuck in a secret society/cult named The Creed. Who thought woman only served one purpose- to be pleasure for the men while being seen and not heard.
Then something happens, and she decides that she is done with this, and lets out her revenge on some of the men (they deserve it so I do not feel bad).
This book is relatable to many woman, but please check the TW as this book is heavy in some scenes.
