I don’t do crowds or relationships. This is my first convention, and while I’m excited to finally meet my fellow fangirls, I’m already regretting such a huge commitment. My anxiety is through the roof, but I’m determined to see it through.
When Ronnie and I wander toward the vendor area, I trip over my own feet and nearly tumble down the escalator. My life flashes before my eyes just as a pair of strong arms wrap around me, pulling me back from the brink of disaster. My rescuer—Daredevil.
Well, a man cosplaying as him at least. I’m so flustered, I don’t catch his name before he vanishes into the crowd. Later, I stumble into him again at a vendor’s booth without his mask and realize he shares a core trait with the masked vigilante. He’s blind.
As he shows me his art, I realize two things. He’s an amazing artist, and I’m dangerously close to breaking my rule. No relationships. I can’t risk the pain again.
Jessica is an introvert fangirl who took a chance at braving the noise and crowds of a Con with her online friends. She’s out of her comfort zone in so many ways, but she’ll be thankful she attended when she “stumbles” into the arms of a handsome Daredevil!
Like the Marvel hero behind the costume, Alex navigates his sightless world by allowing his other senses to take over. In a split second, what he feels, hears, and smells of Jessica has him intrigued and wanting more.
Jessica and Alex are the next to find love at the Philly Convention that started with Confessions of a Fangirl. I liked how the author explored some atypical romantic themes, including introversion, blindness, long distance, and painting both on and off canvas. The story is novella-length, but there is enough to quickly fall for the characters and enjoy their love affair!
While I read this story on the screen, I feel like this would have been the perfect story to listen to as the imagery that was painted through the words was poetic and I could see it so vividly in my mind. I'm not sure if it was due to Alex being blind so there was that loss of one sense heightening the other senses, or if the author was just that talented, but the words literally danced into gorgeous scenes in my mind while reading. And it was so deeply sensual in a way that was never crass or dirty. Truly a beautifully crafted piece of art.

Alex is a suave yet sincere artist that tries to see the best in the world even though an accident has stolen his sight. Jessica is a woman who guards her heart but decides to try something new and overwhelming - a comic con. Little did she know that she would fall in front of a gorgeous artist in a Daredevil costume and good thing Alex knew how to catch her!
This book was a lot of fun to read. I'm loving the fangirl confessions series. This second book follows Alex and Jessica as they meet at the convention and connect afterward. Jessica is hesitant, but Alex is patient and breaks through her walls. I really enjoyed this one.

This was such an amazing read. The Daredevil fangirls will love this book. I know as a Matt Murdock/Daredevil fan I was swooning the entire time. Like oh I love Alex so much. Also jess...that's my name lol. I was living vicariously through her as I read the book. I also loved her. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
