OH MY GOSH. Well I am not over the Amber and Marcus story. I actually am mad because it ended LOL. I loved Amber so much as a main character. I felt her emotions with her. I envisioned each chapter as I read it. Quinn did THAT period. I want more books now please and thank you hahaha.

Overall, I loved the amount of detail in each chapter. I have a short attention span tbh and Whipped was able to grab hold of it and take me on a wild ride. If you like spice and the themes I listed, THIS IF FOR YOU. My only critique is that I wanted it to be longer…selfishly hehe.

Thank you to Quinn Rivers for allowing me to read this early. If you like BDSM, You’ll love this book! Oh my gooodness. I love love love Amber and Markus’s story and how they found each other. I didn’t like Tom, period. The spicy scenes were spicing. The chapters are short which I LOVE, but it still covers the entire storyline. 30/10! Highly recommend!

Definitely going to re read this in the future.

I really enjoyed this authors, writing and the complex characters they create. The writing is so bingeable. I think this book is an example right person wrong time and it’s always been you tropes. I would love for everyone have a happy ending like Renee and Tom because I really enjoyed the glimpses, I got to saw of them. I’m glad that Marcus and Amber both realize that well they do love each other and they also love their current partners and realize that they are hurting them. Which is something I really don’t see in books that have infidelity or cheating in them. Reading this book, it makes you want to root for everyone to be happy. I can’t wait to read what else this author writes.

Marcus has always kept an eye on Amber, she just doesn’t know it. So when she applies for his company, he can’t wait to offer her the job and get her closer to him. But he is engaged to be married. Marcus is a very dominant man and likes to get what he wants. Can he have the woman he’s always wanted?

The electricity is sparking right away when Amber gets to California. Marcus has set up everything for her. He makes it known very early on that he wants more, but can they have more since he is engaged to be married?

Taboo Tension That Burns

Alright Besties… let’s talk about "Whipped" because the buildup alone had me turning pages like my life depended on it. Amber and Marcus... The tension was thick. Best friend’s older brother, long-simmering obs€ssion, and that “we shouldn’t but can't resist” energy? Yeah… Ate. It. Up.

That said, I struggled a bit with how both MCs were straight-up leading their partners on. The lack of honesty... and let’s call it what it is, cheating... wasn’t my favorite, especially since Tom wasn’t even a jerk. He was actually a good guy, so yeah… I felt bad for him.

Still, Amber and Marcus’ chemistry was undeniable. The stolen moments, the k!nk exploration, the obs€ssion... So deliciously taboo. Overall, it was still a great read and absolutely TBR-worthy.😉

When Amber needs a job shes surprised to receive an out of state offer from her best friends brother to be a security guard at his tech company. Amber has always had a thing for Marcus but has been intimidated by him since she was a teenager. Even though both are in relationships, they find themselves drawn to each other and can’t keep away. I got an early copy of this book and it was okay, I wasn’t a fan of the age difference in the beginning. Or how manipulative Marcus was, I understand he was a dom but it felt heavy handed. If you like voyerism, spanking, boss/employee relationship, best friends brother and an age gap, this book is for you. The writing itself was good, parts of the subject matter just wasn’t for me.

Love a novella once in a while.
This was such an easy read and kept my attention.
Overall I enjoyed this book.
Amber and Marcus have known each other for years. There is a slight age gap, I didn’t mind the lack of character development because it worked with the story.

Once I got to about 70% in, it felt a little rush. As in the pace didn’t feel the same from the chapters leading up but it wasn’t terrible, just something I noticed.

The ending.. it was okay I was thinking it was something else but it wasn’t really about them.. idk kind of like it could of had a different ending more catering to their story not them as side characters in the end.

If you’re looking for something quick with some spice. I would recommend this book.

I enjoyed this novella and found it to be a quick read with a full story.
Marcus was what we all dream of in an MMC- billionaire, best friend’s brother, dominant, caring, stalker, and possessive.
Amber was an FMC who is trying to find herself and learning how to take life into her own hands.
This whirlwind takes you from a glimpse of their past to a glimpse into their future, and the present is full of discovery and passion with BDSM explored.
As it is a novella, some of the storyline felt rushed and I think this would make a great full story!
Quinn’s writing flows well and was an easy read.

There are some triggers, including cheating (though not between the MCs).

If you’re looking for a quick read with good story and spice, this is the book!

I think it is a really interesting plot point that both of our main characters start the story in different relationships. I related to how Amber decided to move across the country to try and find better for herself. I loved Marcus’ attention to detail while he is getting her set up. The writing was so well done. I feel like pacing for a novella can get difficult, but in this one the plot was well explained any it flowed perfectly. Once I started, I couldn’t put this book down. I definitely am looking forward to reading more from Quinn Rivers.

Down and DIRTY!

Oh my lanta! Let me fan myself real quick as I compose from this hot as all get out read. Marcus and Amber's chemistry is through the ROOF! Each page had me sitting on the edge of my seat, greedy to never stop reading.
There is a little hiccup between them, but it gets fixed quickly rather than be dragged out which I love as it comes with quick thinking and being adults to talk things out.
And the SPICE! Quinn Rivers, I bow to you for enthralling me with each interaction between Marcus and Amber.

I was so excited to be able read this ARC of Whipped. I thoroughly enjoyed this face paced novella about Amber and Marcus. I was hooked from the very beginning and how their obsession with each other began years before they ever acknowledged it to each other. The plot was very good and the spicy was perfect. Cute, quick read. It’s a novella so you don’t get a lot of character development, but the book moves pretty quickly. This does have some OW/fidelity touches, so some may not like that, but in general was a very sweet read. I think this has potential to be a full length novel to help answer some questions or things that were touched on quickly. I enjoy the authors writing style, but I want more! 3.75⭐️2 🌶️

For a novella / short story this was really good. It was a little fast paced but because there was a past between Marcus and Amber it fit. The unknown love between these two that they’ve had since they’ve known each other and then the discovery and confession, loved it. Conflicts in the story adds drama which makes it more exciting and more loving when the main characters finally get together. 💕❤️

Holy crap this Novella is such a wonderfully written one. It show two different characters who both have wanted each other for a while. While also showing that they have relationships, and life to deal with as well. The way that Amber & Marcus are with each other is electric. They both have thought of each other for years. The way they describe the other one is in a way you can tell they care for the other. Amber wanting to please Marcus, while Marcus is wanting someone who worship him like he does her. They have a connection and it's steamy and beautiful. These two grow in ways that feels so real. That ending was amazing!
