4 stars for Ruby and Tristan and Connor
Wow, what a journey. This is most definitly young adult story telling with closed door intimacy and it has a good measure of action, betrayal, trust and bonding. Ruby has to go through lots of changes over the course of less than half a year. From human to shifter, to moon touched, to mate, to rejected, to betrayed, to abducted, to spelled, to used, to be loved, to be the rescuer of the supernatural world, she grew a lot, lost a lot, found herself, friends, strength, family and a future.
It just made me feel queezy, that a bond overruled all missteps. Because I had a much harder time to forget actions and decisions. What irked Ruby and made her feel betrayed by one character was right and good by the second character....
Beside that, and i had to reduce a bit of stardust for it, the story got good twists and turns through the four books and I listened to it all in one sitting.
The story took turns, went up and down and in a binge read my attention sometimes ebbed and flowed but at no point took the story the hooks out of me.
And now i am intrigued to meet the next couples in the Pine Valley world.
