This is the second book in the series and I really liked it. You don't have to read book 1 to enjoy this one, though I always like knowing all the characters, and we get to meet more of those hot and sexy bikers. I also liked that the books have strong female characters which is really refreshing. There was plenty of action and some very steamy scenes and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I am hooked. Very entertaining.

Life is just too short.
Okay so the more I read and the older I get the less patience I have. Daisy annoyed me from the get go.
Supposedly Daisy is a former Marine and has served 3 tours in Afghanistan.
Now I’ve never personally met a marine. Or if I have I didn’t know but I suspect Daisy “I’m a Marine” Weston is nothing like an actual Marine. And yes I know it’s a romance book but she was bloody annoying.
I’m surprised she doesn’t have a collection of t.shirts.
‘I’m a Marine’ printed on the front and ‘I’ve served 3 tours in Afghanistan’ on the back.
To make matters worse she’s not particularly bright. She also feels she can take on anything on her own cos she was a marine you know. She served 3 tours. 🙄
“Tell me you aren’t seriously considering letting one of those bastards stick his dick in you.”
“I’m saying I’ll do anything I have to, in order to get her back.”
“Even whore yourself out to the bikers who took her?”
“I’m a Marine, and I’ll do anything to complete my mission. No matter what the cost.”
But don’t worry she’s done her research 🤣
From her research, she knew outlaw bikers always wore their colors. It was a point of pride.
While researching outlaw clubs, she’d been stunned to find a connection between ex-military members and biker gangs.
“I’ve done research on bikers.”
A quiet night in, studying all of her biker research.....
Forget all the research all the information could have gathered from just watching one episode of Sons of Anarchy.
Even when something is explained to her. Like when Cowboy tells her what a prospect is...
“When a man prospects for an MC, he’s basically interning, getting a tryout to be a real member,” Cowboy explained.
She obviously didn’t listen but it’s okay because she worked it out on her own.
A prospect must be a probationary member of the MC, she deduced.🙄🙄🙄

I read the first book
a couple of months ago as a R2R and really really enjoyed it.
So when I was offered the chance to R2R the second book in the series, I jumped at the chance!
Cowboy was introduced in the first book, as a member of the Four Horsemen MC. This book is longer than the first, and a warning states at the start, it is darker in tone than book 1, which is the case.
Daisy is an ex marine, and is searching for her missing sister, who has been connected to a local rival MC club, The Raptors. Cowboy has gone undercover, as a relative newcomer to the MC World, his face is not known to The Raptors club. The Four Horseman MC club, after a violent history, have sort of cleaned up their act, and like to met out a bit of vigilante justice from time to time, and have heard that the rival MC maybe dealing in trafficking.
The first meeting is great, and Daisy, as an ex marine managed to get one over on Cowboy, not once but twice in the first night.
But soon, they team up and the Four Horsemen and Daisy, make an uneasy alliance, agreeing to help each other out.
I loved this story. I really liked book 1, and enjoyed it greatly, but this book just turned it up to an entirely other level. It was chock full of drama and suspense. Book 1 was very much an introduction to the Four Horseman and their members, and I adored Ryker, but this darker grittier tone to it is certainly where it seems the series will be going.
Both characters have tragic pasts that make them closed off and mistrustful. But the sexual tension between them is off the charts and as they work together, they both struggle to keep their feelings for the other in check. Daisy is a strong heroine, and Cowboy, while he may not like it, does not stop her from doing what she feels she needs to do for her sister.
The dialogue between them was great
I said when I read book 1, I was a bit tired of MC books! Seemed like you could not turn around without tripping over many badly done MC series, and everyone was doing bikers, like they did vampires 5 years ago.
But, I am glad I decided to give an MC series another go with Book 1, and cannot wait for the rest of the series.
The only niggle I could have, would be sometimes, the details need to be ironed out a bit better. But then I can get overly concerned about small details, such as, I do not think it ever said how old Daisy and Cowboy are...also, the history of the MC club that is mentioned in this book and the first, ie, when everything changed for the club, exactly how long ago was that etc...but, that is just a preference of mine, to have those small details clear.
But, with a whole cast of very intriguing characters, this is a series I look forward to finishing. I cannot wait for Duke's and Shepherd's book, especially Shepherd - as you can see, in this book and in the teaser for Duke, how his "secret" is starting to wear on him.

Former Marine Daisy Weston is posing as a stripper in order to find her missing sister Rose who she believes is mixed up with the Raptors MC. Cowboy is trying to get information about some sex trafficking rumors that are swirling around the Raptors and while checking out their strip club he becomes infatuated with Daisy, that is until she drugs him and now he wants answers.
The Four Horseman MC decide to help Daisy, they want to work together to get the intel on the Raptors. Daisy grew up unloved and now Cowboy is causing her to feel things she doesn't know what to do with. As they get closer to finding out what happened to her sister she gets closer to Cowboy and knows it is only a matter of time before she has to decide if she is willing to open her heart to him.
So far best in the series. I thought this was fantastic. Daisy kicks butt as a heroine but he doesn't have great social skills. Cowboy is a charmer and becomes a favorite. Can't wait for the next boy.

Hot as Hades is the second book in the
Four Horsemen MC
series by Cynthia Rayne. It’s longer and more complete than the first book, Sweet Perdition, which I also enjoyed even though it was a much lighter read.
We’re introduced to Cowboy in the first book. He's part of the Four Horsemen MC, a biker club with a strong moral backbone that exists primarily to impart justice. The Horsemen are enemies of the Raptors, an MC involved in illegal businesses ranging from drugs to trafficking to prostitution. Cowboy is spying on the Raptors when he meets Daisy. She's posing as a stripper while she secretly seeks information about her missing sister, Rose. Daisy believes Rose's disappearance is linked to the Raptors because Rose's last known boyfriend was a member of that club. Immediately, the Four Horsemen convince Daisy to join forces with them and they decide to work undercover to find Rose.
Daisy is a unique heroine. She’s a tough ex-Marine who likes guns, comfortably hides a knife in her bustier and has no qualms about killing a man. She's hesitant to have an affair with Cowboy and keeps him at arms length until the attraction between them becomes explosive. She slowly becomes immersed in the lifestyle of the MC, connecting with the members and feeling at home with all of them.
Cowboy is a former rodeo star who is overcoming a tragic past. He’s also sensitive regardless of his alpha possessive streak. He wants to look after Daisy and manages to do this gently and lovingly, without being pushy. I loved his brotherly connection to the rest of the MC members and his protective side.
The story was enjoyable and the MCs were very likeable. Although it deals with some dark subjects, the author touches upon them in a way that was not too gritty. We have some violence and suspense but it’s balanced out. There’s a lot of action, and the romance between Cowboy and Daisy moves at a perfect pace. The steamy scenes occur at the right time, without the author forcing them for the sake of gratuitous sex. Their first meeting was both fun and hot. Although there was an immediate attraction between them, love came a lot later and the sexual tension was great.
The secondary characters also played an important role and we can infer which ones will be getting their own stories soon. I loved getting a glimpse of Ryker and Elizabeth from the first book. The story has a HEA although a few loose ends will likely be resolved in the next book. It's not necessary to read the first book to enjoy this one, they both work as stand-alone and there’s no cliffy.

So very good. A hard Marine, Daisy, with a troubled past looking for her missing sister. Enter Cowboy, a former rodeo star now a member of the Horsemen. Wow, this was a roller coaster ride but well worth it. Great setup for the next book I will be waiting.

Book 2 in the series is all about Cowboy and Daisy. We met Cowboy in book 1, with his good looking, Stetson/boot wearing bad self. Daisy is on a mission to save her sister who was taken by someone that Daisy believes was a member of the Four Horsemen’s rival MC. So she gets a job as a stripper at the rival club’s strip club. Cowboy is at the strip club (undercover) trying to get info on the rival club’s activities. He sees Daisy stripping and immediately wants to screw her. For some unknown reason to me, she offers a lap dance and takes him into the Champagne Room where she proceeds to drug him and look in his pockets. I wondered if she planned on drugging all of the men she did a lap dance for to see if they carried information about her sister in their pockets. Oh and a major factor, Daisy is a former Marine and has served 3 tours in Afghanistan. That fact is repeated over and over and over. She thinks she is a bad ass super woman who can beat men in physical altercations and really made some silly decisions. I love strong, tough heroines but somehow Daisy was a little OTT for me. Cowboy was a likeable character and they do have a HEA. We see more of Shepherd (VP) and Pretty Boy (Prospect) and those little hints of a gay leaning. I’m pretty sure Shep and Pretty Boy will soon be a book in the series.

I've never read a biker romance before, I'm more of a PNR girl, but this showed up on a group read....I don't think it will be my genre of choice going forward.
As much as I don't mind over protective alpha males, this took it a bit to far. Maybe because in PNR it's fantasy (werewolves driven by their animal sides, super old vampires who grew up in a more traditional time, etc.). But in contemporary modern day USA...I can't be okay with the property tattoos and "don't look at any man but me or its disrespectful".
I enjoyed the plot and suspense, even though I figured out who the bad guy was pretty fast.
The whole Marine thing drove me crazy, but probably because I'm married to a Marine and I know how they act. No Marine who served 3 tours would go around announcing to everyone that they are a Marine, and they would NEVER refer to themselves as a soldier or allow anyone else to. Considering our heroines supposed combat experience, she made a lot of dumb choices. I didn't feel her as a Marine at all, and I probably would have gotten into the book more of she has just been a civilian woman. But to give the author credit, she did a decent job with the Marine lingo...even if no Marine would say some of what she did.

Book two in the Four Horsemen MC series finds Cowboy sitting in a strip club looking at a girl who just doesn’t seem to fit in. He is undercover for his club, and finds himself caught off guard by this take-charge girl owning the stage. Okay, this was kinda funny, y'all. The stripper, Daisy, takes him to the “Champagne room” and drugs his ass. Too funny! Well, this begins our great little war of wills between Cowboy and Daisy.
Daisy is an ex-marine looking for her missing sister. She is doing and will do anything and everything to find her and get her back, even if that's working the stage at a seedy strip club. The last thing she expected was to find help from an opposing MC. More than that, she is taken aback by what she feels towards the biker known as Cowboy.
Daisy and Cowboy have a chemistry that works for them. Both are emotionally repressed and confused. However, when it comes to the club, Cowboy has no doubt, and getting Daisy to understand the rules and pecking order of things is a challenge.
“You need to follow my lead today.”
‘You’ve met me, right?”
See what I mean? Funny, sexy marine don’t follow your orders alpha biker babe! LOL.
I really do love this series by Cynthia Rayne. However, it’s not perfect. It needs a good going-over by an editor. There are quite a few spelling errors that spell check misinterpreted and a few minor inconsistencies. But for whatever reason, I am drawn to the storytelling. I am excited by the thought of the other Horsemen getting their own books and the family the "old ladies" are forming. There is an endearing quality to it that keeps me wanting more.
Also the author very thoughtfully added a trigger warning. Always appreciated.

Warning, this is not such a light and fluffy read as with the first book. I had the honour of reading the first book as a read to review and this same goes for this one as well. It took me a while to get into this book but it deserves 4 Hot as Hades Stars.
Ms. Rayne sure does know how to pick the right quotes to sum up the books from both of the main characters perspective.

Daisy is a Marine and she is looking for her sister. The last she heard was that she ran off with a MC from the Raptors named Rock and was never heard of before. Daisy is tough and will do anything to complete her mission even stripping to find Rose. They are all they have.
The Four Horsemen are also watching the Raptors and they want to shut them down. Cowboy is there undercover but instantly gets a hard on for Daisy when he sees her. That they both have ulterior motives is clear to begin with. The Four horsemen are there to remember their sins and they are out to make up for it.
Behold a pale horse! And its name that sat on him was Death. And Hell followed with him.
Daisy drugs the wrong person, Cowboy, to get more information on the whereabouts of Rose. Cowboy confronts Daisy in front of the Pussy Palace and gets his arse kicked. But Daisy doesn’t count on staying in Hell, Texas where The Four Horsemen are at home. The club convinces Daisy to work for them on the inside.

Daisy doesn’t want to end like her Mum but in the end she realizes that it is more obsession what her mother had with her pimp than love. So the happy ending comes and all with finding Rose. It’s always the slick ones you have to watch out for. I also really, really want a book with Voodoo.
The Club Commandments for the prospects at the end are so good

The next in the series is Rose & Duke, Shepherd & Pretty Boy and Captain and Eddie. I can’t wait for Shepherd and Pretty boy to get their own book as we saw that there is chemistry between the two.

Daisy is a Marine and she is looking for her sister. The last she heard was that she ran off with a MC from the Raptors named Rock and was never heard of before. Daisy is tough and will do anything to complete her mission even stripping to find Rose. They are all they have.
The Four Horsemen are also watching the Raptors and they want to shut them down. Cowboy is there undercover but instantly gets a hard on for Daisy when he sees her. That they both have ulterior motives is clear to begin with. The Four horsemen are there to remember their sins and they are out to make up for it.
Behold a pale horse! And its name that sat on him was Death. And Hell followed with him.
Daisy drugs the wrong person, Cowboy, to get more information on the whereabouts of Rose. Cowboy confronts Daisy in front of the Pussy Palace and gets his arse kicked. But Daisy doesn’t count on staying in Hell, Texas where The Four Horsemen are at home. The club convinces Daisy to work for them on the inside.

a character that was introduced in bk 1 of this series as one of of the members of the Four Horsemen MC, his story and man, is he one smexy cowboy on wheels with a heart of gold!! So multifaceted with an edgy persona mixed with a hidden tragedy that he tries to cover.
Now pair him up with an intelligent spitfire, Daisy, who interestingly knows how to hold her own and wield a gun (*how cool!*).
(minus the smoking)
Along with: danger, deceit, seduction and chaos threaten the two in the mix….and the skies the limit for this duo!!
I so (♥)loved this coupling and the story line! It was fresh, nicely paced, and had enough 'jazz' to keep me interested!

Hot as Hades was a fun, sexy and fast-paced addition to the Four Horsemen MC series. We have a cowboy biker - this is Texas, after all - and an ex-Marine-turned stripper who's hell bent on saving her sister from a gang of bad bikers. We do have a few moments of ridiculous over-the-top behavior (kind of typical for MC books) and a couple of TSTL moments from the heroine (I hate that term, but it applies here). But we also get a basically good MC, determined to do (mostly) right, great female friendships, excellent bromances, nice sexual tension, scorching hot sex and a good love story. Looking for a new MC series? I say give Hot as Hades a try.

This is the second book in the Four Horsemen series and wow, I am hooked. This book had me gripped from turning the first page.
Our MC Daisy is an ex marine, searching for her missing sister Rose. The last time she spoke to her she was dating someone belonging to a motorcycle gang called 'The Raptors' unlike the Four Horsemen this club is mean, into drugs, weapons and sex trafficking. Desperate to find her sister, Daisy gets a job at a lap dancing bar where she knows the Raptors like to hang out.
Daisy entices Cowboy a member of the FH into a private dance, and after a tricky start he offers to help her find her sister. Spending so much time together the pair become inseparable.
Again this book is another refreshing change to see a hard ass woman front and centre not waiting for a man to protect her, but also taking the help when it is given. She always packing, even in her stripper clothes :)
This book was much darker that the first, and there are scenes of rape and non consensual dominance which some may find hard to read. But it is done in a gentle manner.
I am quickly becoming a far on the author, she managed to include characters we met previously in the first book and bring new characters in all the time, almost weaving a web getting you ready for the new book and future books to come I am sure.

Better then the first
This one had lots of plot and characters and not just Neanderthal men and sex.
I liked Daisy she was tough as nails and didn't take any crap. She was dedicated to find her sister at any cost.
Cowboy was interesting too. He had lots of drama in his life. He was hot and sexy.

Oh this series is something else! When I read the first book a couple of months ago I was surprised to see how unique it was and how different from the typical MC books out there. This one was no exception. Powerful characters and intriguing plot made this such a great read!
Cowboy was introduced in the first book, he's part of the Four Horsemen MC and now a spy on the clubs enemies, the Raptors. Daisy is a tough cookie! She's ex-Marine and on a mission to find her missing sister who got involved with the Raptors and working on their strip club in order to get closer.
Daisy and Cowboy were so fun to read and their sexual tension was there from the start as he meets her as a stripper but what I liked was the fact that they didn't act on it until later on the book. I enjoyed the story of Daisy and Cowboy, but maybe not quite as much as Ryker and Elizabeth's story. I did like that it was a longer book and there was more time to get to know the characters. Neither was your typical stereotype which was refreshing. Cowboy is, well, a cowboy biker. And Daisy is a marine! And the story was interesting - Daisy is searching for her missing sister, Rose, who was last known to be with a member of rival MC the Predators. Daisy takes a job as a stripper/waitress in one of their bars hoping to learn something about her sister. She meets Cowboy on her first night - he's undercover trying to learn about suspected forced prostitution and trafficking. Daisy hooks up with the Four Horsemen (and of course with Cowboy) when she realizes that going it alone is plain stupid. This book wasn't as sexy as the first book. And my main issue was a lot of missing and misspelled words, and some inconsistencies . But, despite this I did like the characters and the story line, and I'm really looking forward to reading Rose and Duke's story. Duke sounds like a VERY interesting guy!

Not knowing exactly how things were going to work between Cowboy and Daisy, her working in a Raptor club was very risky. After months of no leads one night would change things for everyone. Things between Cowboy and Daisy had been strained to say the least but once they finally had that lead things went out the window.
What happens between Cowboy and Daisy shocks everyone. Do they find Daisy's sister Rose or not?

This book indeed has more plot than the previous one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I wanted MORE with the ending, even though it was true to Daisy's personality. We KNOW........ (SPOILER ALERT) she found her sister and is going to stay with Cowboy, but it felt like a "riding into the sunset" ending. I'm noisy and needy and I wanted more. This is good read and I am super excited about the next book Damned, Duke (he is the dark and kinky one) and Rose's story, it should be very interesting.

This was a good book. Daisy is an ex-Marine and a strong independent woman you throw Cowboy and the Four Horseman MC into the mix and wow, together they try and find out where Daisy's sister Rose is. I do love how we get to head back into the MC club and still learn what goes on with the rest of the group as well. I loved hearing what's become of Pinky and the rest of the group. The story did take a slightly unexpected turn and it was great. I love the twists here and there, holds my interest. Would highly suggest reading this series. I myself am heading onto book 3 next. This is my voluntary and unbiased review.

I started this series out of order and this is book#2 but it didn't matter. It didn't take away from the story at all that I hadn't read the first book and I will be getting the rest of this series. I loved this book it had a good story line and while it is a part of a series it could be read as a stand alone. It left you really, really wanting the other guys in the clubs stories. Can't wait for Duke and Shepard! If your looking for a good MC series to read this is the series for you. Rated very good

I have read a book with this kind of plot, so this book's not really surprising for me. But I do enjoyed the style of writing. I actually read this book last year but keep staling with the review thingy. And now I regret my decision. Because the buzz is already off, I don't really remember the details of my feeling after I read this book except that I'm pretty content after reading it and that I liked it. Just not as much as I enjoyed any other MC themed books.
But overall I enjoyed it. Look forward to read the next installment of the series!!

I wasn't particularly happy with the first book and truth to be told this one didn't impress me either.
I left it unfinished at about 69%. I thought that the first one was too short but this one was kind of boring. Maybe it wasn't the right book for me at the moment or maybe I've read too many biker books recently, and probably many of you will actually love it...
Maybe I'll pick it up some other time and update my review but for now I can't say I was impressed by it.

Didn't like this one as much as the first, but it was definitely a solid read. The author writes well but this particular story didn't resonate with me as much as the first. Heat level was lower than the first, so probably at about a 6.5 out of 10. The third book sounds very intriguing.

Just keeps getting better!! This series is so much more than I ever expected. Loved Cowboy and Daisy's story. So good together. Cowboy *sigh* Can't wait for Duke and Rose next.

Great book, Daisy is tough as Nails. Cowboy was mu hotness knight. These two had chemistry from the get go. Her boss was an ass. Kudos to t he author.

I enjoy this more than the introductory novella. In this book the characters are more developed as is the story. My only negative - the story ends when they declare themselves.
