Blood and Honor

Rate this book
Amazon best selling author, Jayna Vixen, returns to Darling, California in this action-packed quest to track down Rhiannon Blake’s missing sister, Mickey. Rhiannon’s boyfriend, Dax Jamison, vice president of the notorious Phantoms’ MC, will do anything to get answers for his old lady. Is Mickey trying to avoid potential backlash from a violent drug cartel? Or is she running from something else…something even worse? Wince, the Phantoms’ resident computer genius, takes it upon himself to track Mickey down.

This book pulls the attentive reader beyond the surface to a deeper storyline intended to transcend the traditional elements in the romantic suspense genre. Maybe, just maybe, some things happen for a reason.

This is the final book in the best selling MC romantic suspense series, Riding the Line. Thank you for your readership!

This book contains strong language, violence, and steamy/sexual scenes, which some readers might find offensive. Intended for readers over the age of 18.

a decent conclusion to the story as a whole. The different points of view gave me a bit of whiplash though.

On a spoiler note ....

One thing that kind of stuck out for me that in my mind that damaged the MC crew I grew to love was the situation with Alanna.

Of course we don't like Alanna, she's a bitch. But she really didn't do anything to hurt the crew aside from being a bit obsessive with Dax. Was there a part I maybe skimmed over and missed where she did something Mexican prison worthy? Cause from where I stand. She was kidnapped by a rival MC - trafficked to Mexico as a whore and then arrested for who knows what and is incarcerated in a Mexican prison.

I don't see how she deserves that. After saving a bunch of girls being trafficked into the sex trade, you'd think you'd have more to say about Alanna's situation than "Hope she likes pussy." Whether her motives were noble or not. She did try to save Sirena and she did try to bring a "Rat" to the clubs attention.

I don't think her punishment fit the crime ... I was a bit disappointed.

Also I was disappointed that they decided to make Trish out to be a cheater in what I felt was an attempt to lessen some perceived wrongness to Dax's initial cheating.

Just my opinion and why it didn't get more stars from me.

Blood and Honor (Riding the Line series #4)
By: Jayna Vixen
5/5 stars

In the epilogue for the 3rd book, Leather and Sand, we see Mickey, Rhee’s sister who has been missing for a little over 4 years. It also appeared as though she definitely wasn’t in Witsec since she was holed up in cheap motel room. Mickey has information regarding someone dangerous who is trying to get close to her sister. Mickey knows that she will have to emerge from hiding and contact Rhee. So part of the book is her Mickey’s journey to Rhee.

Dax, Rhee & Sirena have gotten into a routine the 3 months following the attack from Vidal at the end of the 3rd book. Dax traded his leather for sand and stayed with his family in Hawaii. Rhee is still working and doing charity work for her studio, which takes time away from her family, but gives back to the community. Dax and Rhee have made repairs to their relationship and Dax has become a great dad to Sirena.

Wince acts as a liaison between Dax & his business on the islands and the Phantoms MC, where Dax is still vice-president. Wince gets to witness Dax, Rhee & Sirena as a family and it becomes something that he can imagine for himself. He is also tireless in his search for Mickey, as he desperately wants to get closure for Rhee, but hopes that she is still alive.

Of course, there is still the problem of a potential rat in the clubhouse and matters of that sort must be dealt with in person. Dax refuses to leave his family behind in Hawaii and so they all take off for Darling, California.

Trish reemerges, but not in a bad way, and she actually takes care of one of the Phantom Stalkers who had been obsessing over Dax, for Rhee. Which was awesome, she was awesome.

Slade, one of the grunts on the Hawaii trip at the beginning of book 3, is featured more prominently in this book. We also learn of how and why he joined the Phantoms MC. I really enjoyed getting to see more of him.

This book was a nice wrap up to the Riding the Line series, which I immensely enjoyed. There is the possibility of a spin-off series involving these characters, though that is not certain, so we don’t know which of the characters may be in it, but we can certainly guess by the ending to this book! Jayna Vixen, the author, does thank Kurt Sutter and the cast & crew of the television show, Sons of Anarchy for being an inspiration for her writing this series.

Wow

I loved the series PERIOD! You can't help but be drawn to Dax with his effed up childhood and how he persevered through it all to be the person he became. I really rooted for Rhee to get back with Dax. I got really excited when Sirena came into the picture and to see how everything fell into place as it should. I'm so happy the sisters finally got their long awaited reunion. It was good that the trouble maker, Allahna got her karma and went where she no longer can cause strife with the club. Relieved to know about Hawk too! Slide got his vengeance for his parents. Mouse and Wince.....now that would be book I'd buy as well (hint).

Right, it seeeems like forever that we've been waiting for the story of Mickey to unfold and without further ado this story wraps it up.

Im giving this 3 stars because I wanted for meat to hers and Wince's story. I feel like Im left hanging at the end at that beach scene. Bleh!

But Im really happy with the how Dax, Slade Wince and Hawk all gel together when we get the crux of the story of the kiddy porn ring. I did not see that loop hole coming at the end with the old veteran connection.

I hope we can more stories for Slade and Wince. I'd love to read more

4.5 stars. Great book, from the first chapter to the end. Mickey suffered a great deal of situations that one person can go through. I was happy that Dax and Rhee was added in the story and babygirl. Wince what a great guy, he deserves happiness as well. I truly enjoyed all three books. This note is fot the author please continue writing books from this MC Phantoms. I believe Hawk and Slade needs a book. Bravo..

Micky's story intertwined with the others and concluding the series. I spent the entire afternoon reading it because I was eager to hear what happened. I didn't expect it to have the twist it did. Of course you knew where the ending would lead but overall good series.

Great Ending

I loved everything about this series. There is so much depth to the plot and all the characters. I want to know more about Wince and Mickey's relationship. And what about Slade ? I see a spin off series coming. At least I hope so.
