I enjoyed this book. Tech is everything I want in MMC. HE IS ABOUT THAT ACTION. he’s not into waiting around and watching the ones he care about suffer.
Jury was likable too but I’m ready for her to release the shackles off her feat from her family so she can dance cus babbyyyyy!! They mean her no good.
When I realized there were more than 2 POV’s, I thought it would be a lot to keep up with but the storytelling was great and not overwhelming.

This is my first time reading anything from Lakia and 🤯🤯. She had me hooked from the first word. This story flowed well. Despite it being short she was able to create a jam packed action filled plot. Wow, so much going on. And the ending? I'm running to part 2🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️ I liked Tech and his take charge personality. The way he got Jury lol wow 🤭🤭 Crazy and unhinged for real😂😂. And I really don't like Junior. He reminds me of Marlon. They both don't know who they are and have identity issues😅. I like Quori and Vez😍... I'm excited to see how their storyline will play out. An easy 5-star. I enjoyed this!

Wild ride, looking forward to part 2…
So I rated this a 3.5, and it would’ve been higher but the FMC’s were two of the ditziest I’ve read in awhile. I legit try to steer away from books where the fmc is going to work my nerves but I digress.
Tech and Travez more than made up for where the FMC’s and Jury’s wack ass step momma lacked. The were the right kind of unhinged and crashed out over theirs in the best way.
And Junior? He gotta be the weakest cartel leader ever! lol straight pathetic. Like how are you getting slapped, punched, cussed out, shot and tossed over bridges in such a short installment? Lol I can’t wait til he gets what’s coming to him cause he’s for sure a BAN.
Ok… so I’ve got some predictions for part two.
-I think Mocha killed Jury’s bio mom in that car accident
-I think Quori and Tech’s dad is about to show up and have Jury’s parents getting tossed off bridges like their b*tch a*s son Junior! Lol

Passenger Princess by Lakia had me in a full chokehold. The twists came out of nowhere, and I loved every stressful second of it. Tech’s possessiveness over Jury? Whew. He does not play about her, and I was here for it.
Honestly, all the characters was solid, but Tech and Jury are hands down my favorites. Now Jury’s brother Junior? Absolutely not. I had such high hopes for him, and he completely fumbled the bag.
This book had my nerves bad at times, but that just made it impossible to put down. I’m already ready to jump straight into the next book because I need to know what happens next.
If you want something twisty, emotional, and addictive, this one delivers.

Wow just wow when I say Tech came out stomping!! And Showed Jury how a real man does! He learned alot on that set down and him and Jury clicked so right!! Junior irritated me so bad with his snake so a true definition of smile in your face! Q wanna be grown and lost in the sauce self about to find out the real! And I love me some Trav came out on some I can show you better than I can tell you!

One thing I love about this author’s work is her ability to keep your attention throughout a book. It was so much happening, so many twists, secrets revealed, unlikable characters and get back!

So this was my first lakia book and I was locked in! I really enjoyed this. Tech is the definition of a crash out but we love him. And the drama, I was on the edge of my seat. I’m excited to hear more about vez and quori. And find out if there is gonna be an all out war…because the cliffhanger… I NEED ANSWERS NEOW

Ima give Miss Lakia the 5 okay she wrote her ass off this book but it’s really annoying how we have 6 degrees of seperation from every angle. I like interconnected storylines but I don’t like too much overlap best friends freaking on siblings then freaking on the friend of the friend like please enough Tampa st.pete clear water big enough to have men that’s not interconnected. I’m rooting for Tech and Jury but again yall authors gotta stop giving the girls bossed up jobs and making them buffoons. Like I’m sorry Jury gotta be THE DUMBEST FMC with a degree we’ve ever met. You agree to a marriage contract to save your brother but you miss lawyer girl with your own firm NEVER SEEN THE CONTRACT?!? Never seen what you was agreeing to? Never concerned yourself with what your brother who you know is not bright like sorry that’s a problem. Like after the intro to Marlon GIRL I WOULD’VE had my hat coat and magnifying glasses out call me Sherlock homegirl cus that contract will be in my POSESSION by that night

Whew, bestie... "Passenger Princess" by Lakia? Yeah, that book snatched me up and did not let go. I went in blind, had zero expectations—and came out completely shook in the best way possible.
So boom—we meet Jury. She’s fine, smart, and got a whole law degree under her belt, but baby girl is tied up in some generational mess. She’s the daughter of a drug family and engaged (read: forced) into an arranged marriage with the son of another family. The setup is giving legacy but in the most toxic way, and whew... the way her family did her?? Trash. Straight up.
Enter Tech. Insert deep sigh and slow blink here. Tech just got out after doing a 12-year bid and he is NOT playing with anybody. Not with his time. Not with his people. Not with his heart. He’s Jury’s older brother’s best friend, so they’ve been around each other since back in the day—but now? Now the vibe is grown. The chemistry? Immediate. The energy? BDE from the jump. I mean this man looked at Jury ONCE and was ready to rearrange her whole life and eliminate anything (or anybody) standing in the way.
And he meant that. With his chest.
Of course, there’s a fiancé in the way (ugh), but Tech doesn’t care. He’s fresh out but already ten steps ahead. Protective, possessive, and soft with Jury in a way she has NEVER experienced before. But when she crosses paths with Travez, Tech’s ex-cellmate and loyal friend, all that starts to shift. Their first interaction had me hollering, but the way he’s instantly locked in? Chef’s kiss. He’s just as willing to crash out behind her, and his actions at the end?? Had me staring at my Kindle like—"oh, we doing THAT?!"
This story is layered. It’s about love, loyalty, family betrayal, and finally seeing yourself worthy of something better. The girls had to unlearn a lot. The men—especially Tech and Travez—came in with that protector energy, no hesitation. And that SPICE? Baybeee... Lakia did what needed to be done.

Tech was a young man who was doing a bid in prison based on loyalty but little does he know that loyalty don’t mean a thing when money’s involved and his best friend Junior showed him just that. Working for Junior’s father for years after his pops died and his mom was left with mounting bills and the education of him and his sister Quori. Junior is all for self and the way he does his sister Jury definitely lets it be known on multiple occasions. Making a deal with a prominent crime family Jury agrees to marry the heir of the Benoit family, Marlon but this no having manners ninja proves to just think with the head between his legs and not the one on his shoulders. Jury didn’t know her brother was into a bunch of other things and now she’s a pawn in his game. Tech meets Jury and sparks instantly fly but there’s one problem-Marlon and the agreement that’s bestowed upon her. Quori is an accountant but got mixed up in some bad stuff and is now under investigation and I already knew the person behind it sad to say. On an outing after she leaves her mystery man she meets Travez who just got out of prison and is out on parole and he likes what he sees he finds out later that’s his boy Tech’s sister and Travez is on a mission to make her his and doing what he has to, to get her. Junior been on bs with Quori and he done ran across a man that don’t play about her and she ain’t even his yet. I hope Miss Kim is ok and that cliffhanger let my mouth hanging open bc WTH. Wanna know all the in betweens pick this up ASAP. You did your thang boo nothing short of phenomenal. If y’all haven’t read it get to it I know I’m a lil late tho lol

For me three stars means I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. The book was good.. just not great. I really liked the MMC, Tech. He did not play about Jury dingy self at all LOL. From the moment he came into her life, he was locked in and I loved that about him. Jury was ok for the most part I like that is an attorney and went to school.
The story starts off strong. Tech went to jail for something that Junior should've went to jail for! That alone sets the tone for a lot of tension in the book not to mention Junior setting his sister up to be married for his own benefit. Tech knows he probably shouldn't be with Jury especially with how he feels about her family but something about her keeps pulling him in.
This is definitely a insta-love story. I like insta-love to a certain extent but this one was super duper instant. They were doing the most really fast, and sometimes it felt rushed.
The plot itself was good. The idea was strong and the beginning had me interested. But somewhere along the way it started to feel a little flat. Nothing was necessarily bad it just felt like something was missing.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and part two is out. I'm moving on to the next book.

Wow...this whole thing left me rattled and wanting more. The drama, and them snaking @ss Benoits. First, Junior is a straight up degenerate that sold his sister and made his "best friend" his fall guy! His daddy and his mom ain't no better and I'm hoping that the next book, Jury finds out they all ain't $#i+! I loved how Tech was about his business, he came out, head held high, not wanting a handout, and putting all his energy into Jury. He was on her like sunscreen on a hot Florida day. That stunt he pulled in ole boy apartment had me on the floor. Lex...I really liked him, but that ended was jacked up. They didn't have to do him like that. Vez, whew he just as bad as Tech when it comes to Quori. I know that book 2 is going to be full of drama because I don't know what the issue is with Tech and Quori's dad, but I'm about to find out. Off to book 2!✌Happy Reading Y'all!💋

I kept seeing this book and skipping it, but Lakia posted it on Tik Tok. So, giving it a chance and so happy I did.
Tech gave me a fix indeed. While he might’ve been fresh off of lock, baby showed up and showed out for Jury day one. Also, watching out for his baby sister, Quori. Little does he know, lil sis has big secrets and it’s going to cost him a friendship.
Jury is the babygirl of a crime syndicate family that has run into some trouble. Thanks to her older brother, Junior. With him leading the family and her retired parents out of town, they try to handle it quickly before their return. Only she doesn’t count on her brother putting her up for sale. Sometimes family isn’t everything, and Jury learns quick that her brother doesn’t value her like she values him.

Not for me
Let me start by saying I am a fan of Lakia’s work. I have usually liked her stories, but the one just didn’t do it for me. Somethings just didn’t make sense and could possibly be more believable if the characters were older and not in their early 20’s. Also the scene with Travez at the store would have landed him right back in jail. Although, I knew would have a to be continued ending, what Mocha did to Lex came out of left field and didn’t really make sense. The dialogue between Mocha and Jury tried to explain it, but fell short in my opinion. I didn’t finish this book feeling like I absolutely have to know what happens next or with a high desire to read any sequels.

Need part 2
Wow, from start to finish the story kept me engaged. Tech is that dude. Tech is just what Jury need or sure. Junior was selfish and whatever happens to him, just happens. I love how Tech take care of the people he loves and cares about. Vez is no joke and he will have Quori and Tech will respect it. Jury is is in a tight spot when it comes to her family, but I believe she will choose wisely, once she knows all of the mess Junior has been doing for years. I can't wait to see whom is Quaori and Tech's dad and how will Tech respond.

I immediately loved Tech. He stands on BIG bidness. PERIODT. He’s bit of a crash out tho but I love it. Just when I thought there wasn’t a anyone like him, here come YN Tez. Loved him and how ain’t have no filter.
I love how both Jury and Quori don’t need a man because they chase they own bag. Own they own business. Love that for them.
I like how the story flowed well & there was something always going on. Held my attention from beginning to end. Had me like damnnn what’s gonna happen next lol.
This was good now im boutta dive into part 2.

Such a great read. I need a breather. I spent all day reading this book. In between work and all. This book had so many twists and turns my nerves are all over the place. I absolutely love Tech. I love how educated and loyal he is. Jury is my girl so not too much on her for the ending (not to give away anything). Please don’t make me wait long for pt 2 Lakia gurl!

Lakia you really showed out with this new crew. When I tell you how much I love Tech and Vez are gonna be on my list of favorites. Now, I don't know what's gonna happen with Mocha but baby I'm for all the karma that's coming. Quori and Jury are gonna be tried and I believe they will come out ok. Go ahead and drop part two because that cliff hanger was trifling lol. Passenger Princess is a wild ride for sure. I loved Tech, but Jury was hard headed and got on my nerves. That man was fresh out and hit the ground running. I really enjoyed Vez character. I think he would do Quori silly behind some good. I absolutely hated her brother, Junior. Once Jury explained the mom and dad situation it all made more sense about the deal and all. I’m ready for book two😩

I was vibing with this story from the jump but the ending has my blood pressure through the ROOOOOF! I swear the last 20 or so pages had my heart racing and the ending had my jaw on the floor. I need the next book ASAPPPP

Junior was nothing but a screw up and was willing to sell his sister for his gambling habit! Quori sneaky behind she's going to get somebody killed. Tech is not playing about Jury, and now her crazy mama done shot Lex. This is about to be a real mess! Lakia, you have me on the edge of my seat, I must see how this mess ends! Oh, and Jury's father is conniving, trying to figure out who Quori and Tech's dad is, who was she calling on the phone????

Umm these men are definitely crashout but in the most sweetest and caring way. The way that Techa and Vez is crashing out behind Jury and Quori is crazy!!! Granted the family really don't know what's going on but Junior has to be held accountable for his action but hell Daddy been making sure he don't his entire life hence Tech going to prison. That ending was crazy honey and baby I can the mess coming!!!

I know he ain’t gaf when he showed up to Ole boy house 😭😭😭😭.Junior is a btch for what he was trying to do to his sister and the crazy mess he got Quori wrapped up in. The lines just got crossed!!! Tech and Vez are in for a wild ride with these two ladies, especially with Jury's family coming behind her brother! Junior is a screw-up, and I hope they see that. I can't wait to read book two because this story got me on the edge of my seat.
