Rejected by her human boyfriend. Kidnapped by her three alpha stalkers.
Mia
My life’s been a storm of bad choices and even worse luck. My mom abandoned me, my so-called boyfriend Justin treats me like dirt, and I’ve spent years believing I’m not worth more than scraps of affection.
Then they show up—Jace, Kane, and Finn. Three powerful alphas with a maddeningly possessive interest in me.
But how can I trust anyone when I’ve spent my whole life being let down? And why do they insist I’m an omega—something I never even knew existed?
I want to believe their promises. I want to trust them. But when my world is shattered by a rival pack, and my body betrays me during my first heat, everything changes and they mark me.
Suddenly, I’m not just Mia—I’m their Mia.
Kane
We never expected to find her—an omega so sweet, so broken, and so undeniably ours. But Mia doesn’t trust easily, and Justin’s lies have her convinced she’s unworthy of love.
She’s wrong.
She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s the heart of our pack. And when a rival pack comes for her, they’ll have to go through us first.
But Mia’s hiding something, and when the truth comes out—that she’s pregnant with our child—she runs, afraid of what we might become.
She doesn’t understand. We don’t just want to protect her; we want to claim her. Mark her. Make her ours in every way.
Marking Mia is a steamy reverse harem omegaverse romance with three overprotective alphas, plenty of spice. This book does end in a cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA in Book 2: Mating Mia.
I should have gone to my previous book I've read by this author before even starting this, maybe then I could have my time back.
spoilers maybe?
Okay can someone tell me if this is AI generated? Honestly? It is horribly choppy, jumps from scene to scene, we barely get any connection or real emotion, and it has all these tropes with no background. This is exactly what I would expect if you asked chat got to write a 350 page omegaverse that includes stalking. Somehow though after all that lack of real emotion and real plot line we get the horrible shit they do. They lie to her, trick her into sexual things and then the against her will pregnancy? Pair that with just uncomfortable sex scenes over and over when the relationships are just gross just makes this a horrible read. Not to mention IT ISNT AN OMEGAVERSE IF THE PEOPLE TURN INTO WOLVES ITS JUST A PARANORMAL SHIFTER BOOK.
Honestly I'm furious with myself for this read. I even asked chat gpt of this author was a real person or not because I can't believe they are, and I feel horrible feeling this way if an author took time to write a book but.... SERIOUSLY
I was a little turned off when these three men left a girl in a physically and emotionally abusive situation, I was more turned off when these first physically intimate moment between her and these men was when she was on pain meds that the men knew about, but drugging and marking this girl while still lying to her and saying she is human and can’t get pregnant, holy crap, these men really suck and I can believe she keeps forgiving them.

This book started out so well. Mia is an abused, overworked, seriously under appreciated woman. She works two jobs while her love in boyfriend games and asks for money. She’s verbally and physically abused by said boyfriend constantly. When you meet Finn and Jace you’re kind of rooting for them to be the Princes in her Cinderella life. You even root for Kane to be her savior, but when the rescuing starts happening the story devolves. The pack basically gaslights her, keeping every true piece of information away from her by lying to her repeatedly and ignoring every single denial that comes from her mouth. They bond her without telling her what it means until afterwards, wait until she’s in the midst of her semi heat to tell her what they are and even after she tells them she doesn’t want to get pregnant they ignore that as well. Y’all, this is STILL abuse just in a different form. The last 1/4 of the book is mostly s3x, which is overshadowed by the packs breeding kink (that is , once again, against her wishes). There’s some plot thrown in but not enough to even care about. Won’t be continuing the series, don’t really like ANY of the male characters enough at this point to hope for anything good for them and really don’t want to see Mia continue to have every single aspect of her life (and body) controlled by “the pack”. Really disliked this book and am usually a Layla Sparks reader so that’s saying something.
There are “uninformed hidden omega” books that are done well, this is NOT one of them.
Two stars because the beginning really sucked me in, wish that energy had carried forward.
I like spice, but this one just felt off. The whole book left me confused, mostly because of the constant POV switching, it was too much and made it hard to stay invested. There was little to no real story-building, and the mfc came across as naïve and overly babied by the man. She kept giving in to strange requests and giving up control in ways that was weird.
Normally, I enjoy the dynamic between alphas and omegas, the intensity, the bond, the balance of power, but in this story, it didn’t deliver. It felt more like those elements were used to cover up questionable consent and uncomfortable scenes rather than deepen the connection between the characters.
I made it through about 82% before deciding to DNF.
I don’t want to be mean, even though I did enjoy the book some of my favorite tropes, three men, werewolves, mating, claiming. But it felt rushed, and childish, like it was written by a teenager if that makes sense, some of the writing was good, and I do love a werewolf story, but there wasn’t much to it, some of the rules about there life wasn’t really explained and why there were 3 alphas, and why they had to claim her? Normally you have a pack with one alpha and so fourth so I would of liked the story explained properly to me, why did they all claim her, why does everyone else want her if she is claimed for, it’s so confusing.
I initially gave this book two stars but had to change the rating to one. Which I really really hate to do but this book is a massive problem, even by dirty romance book standards. The ONLY cute part is when the love interests initially meet. The rest of the time this poor girl is getting abused.
First she is abused by her foster parents, then her (ex) boyfriend. The meet cute and initial relationship is okay, with the stalking seeming fairly (by romance novel standards, absolutely not real life) acceptable.
Then the leads proceed to lie to her constantly, keep massive secrets about her body and dictate her every move. Some things happen during sex, she gets really freaked out, and is told to just calm down. That’s not okay. The male leads are aware she knows nothing and proceed to do things without her consent or understanding. It’s disgusting, not sexy.
Then one of them murders someone, again not in a romanticized way like some books, but in an unhinged, uncaring, way. She is forced to go along with it and simply accepts it. The act (other than it being a murder) crosses major boundaries and keeps any decision making abilities out of the female leads hands.
As if that isn’t bad enough, she ends up being drugged and bound to the guys, with zero ideas as to what she is agreeing to. And gets lied to about being able to get pregnant and gets pregnant. AFTER an entire monologue with the protagonist thing about how bad it would be if she did get pregnant. You know, just got out of an abusive relationship, doesn’t know what to do with her life or how to take care of herself, let alone a child. Buuuut she can “figure it out as she goes” and “no one is ever prepared”. Of course she feels betrayed. But noooooo. Trauma and consent don’t matter here.
She finds all this out while overhearing a conversation about how they plan to move somewhere else without telling her. Thankfully, she does end up running. Only to fall back into their arms because of a forced, very manipulative ‘I love you’. Most of the guy’s view points show that they really only care about the babies saftey. They repeatedly use it to justify taking away her autonomy.
This was incredibly disappointing, disturbing, disgusting, and a little violating to read. Like, if a man were to write their worst fantasy and later turn out to be a r*apist. This is coming from someone who regularly reads incredibly dirty, dark romance books. Stalking and murdering is cute when the Prince of Nightmares is doing it (Cursed Legacies) and don’t even get me started on Ruby Dixons incredible book series (sold to a sea ogre, yes please!). Go there to read this kind of genre.
ALSO. If you just want to read some smutty scenes, this still isn’t the book for you. It’s kind of incredible but despite the number of times the characters have sex, it’s always basic, under-described, and fast. They get more underwhelming the more they start to repeat themselves. All in all. Horrible book. So bad I’m pretty sure it was written by a man.
Okay, but very little plot development outside their sexual exploits.
I really thought there would be more plot besides the sex and the sample made it seem as if there would, but pretty quickly it's all about how within 24 hours of meeting the last of the group she moves in with them and starts having sexual encounters immediately with three complete strangers. Her responses to every given scenario are unreasonably sexual even in situations that seems incongruous, so it turns into a plot that feels like those b-porn films where the scantily clad female is doing normal everyday things but somehow ends up getting railed by the three guys out of nowhere with very little if any development or provocation. So, just go into it realizing it isn't really a developing romance, or a mystery; it is just like a B-porn flick in which the entire point of every situation is for them to be having sex whether it seems congruous to how they're supposedly feeling in their internal monologues or statements, and whether or not a person would want sex in the situation as outlined or with the feelings and circumstances as set out or not-- just like a b-porn flick.
And I was okay until they drugged her and took her on to pack territory to mark her without giving her a choice and then lied to her about her ability to get pregnant, manipulating her and trapping her using a pregnancy. That's NOT LOVE. It is manipulation and control and nothing short of a far worse abuse than her ex was guilty of. I get shy and broken down and needing a place to land after separating from an abusive boyfriend, but I prefer female lead characters that have a bit more fight in them, a bit more circumspection, sense of self-preservation, and common sense instead of being completely libido driven to the point it turns off their brain. She is such a limp non-entity doormat of a personality that the book became a complete and utter turnoff for a reader who's does have a brain and a spine and a will of my own. The fact that all she does is tell Finn, "You didn't have to drug me. You shouldn't have taken my choice," and didn't get angry or do anything but simper and pant after manipulative rapists is infuriating. Besides the huge problem of the author playing fast and loose with issues of consent as if kidnapping and using her biology against her (domestic rape) is just okay, I also prefer there to be a bit more substance to the plot, more plot and character development overall and fewer holes and issues with the storyline. So it was just okay until the rape and forced pregnancy scene, and an absolute livid raging frustration after her limp response, not getting mad or doing anything about it like it was okay. Not what I was looking for and NOTHING I would EVER recommend.
I’ve been in between giving this book 2 or 3 stars so I guess 2.5. The beginning caught my interest quickly. A girl in an abusive relationship, working at a dead end job just trying to get out. A alpha werewolf catching her scent and trying to bring her into his pack. Sounds like a good knight and shining armor, damsel in distress kind of story. Then as she gets brought into the pack something for me changed. 🚨SPOILERS AHEAD NOW IS THE TIME TO TURN BACK IF YOU DON’T WANT ANY 🚨
I didn’t like the pack dynamics and found it difficult. She has no idea she is an omega because she was adopted and raised as human. The three alphas know this and yet decide to keep secrets from her. None of them take the time to explain anything about the alpha/omega/werewolf world to her. They drug her and kinda force her into a mating she doesn’t fully understand and get her pregnant even though she very clearly didn’t want to be a mom. I think the alphas spent most of the book gaslighting her. She basically went from one abusive relationship to another. I didn’t like that as soon as she was brought into the pack the one alpha she didn’t have any interaction with was the one that got basically all the firsts. And why is it that the bond connection is stronger with him than the others. All of the guys put a claiming mark on her but only the pack alpha gets hurt the most when she decides to run away. Why is he the only one appearing to feel the strain on the bond when she is gone? The book alludes that her parents might still be alive so since it ends on a cliff hanger hopefully the second book gives more information on her family background.
Mia left her foster parents to live with her boyfriend, thinking she was moving from one bad situation to a good one, one where she would be accepted and loved. It may have started that way, but he showed his true colours once he was laid off from work and spent all day gaming at home, expecting Mia to work extra shifts, look after the house, feed him, a general dogsbody! But she knew it was time to leave when it went from emotional and verbal to physical abuse. But where would she go?
Finn can't believe he has found an omega without a pack. Why is she acting like a human? When he goes back to his pack to let them know, it's not taken seriously, so he brings Jace along to confirm it. Both are drawn to Mia; her scent is driving them crazy. They need to claim her and make her theirs. They scout the coffee shop, finding out as much as they can. Befriending her and making sure she is safe. When Kane pack leader, eventually meets her, he knows she is theirs.
The story covers Mia finding out she is Omega, something she finds hard to understand, and how this puts her safety at risk being unmated and unclaimed. The men will do anything for her, but when information is withheld, decisions made on her behalf, with her not included, has she gone from one bad situation to another? Can she trust these men with her heart?.

This book has so much potential, the story could be amazing. The only thing letting it down is the authors inability to stick to certain aspects that had already been laid out. For example, the characters behaviours, of who they were, would suddenly change. Jace, was the soft caring one, but then later in the book when he places a tender kiss, the FMC explains it as out of character and surprising? Its winter at the beginning of the book, the FMC and one of the Alphas go on a picnic and its explained winter is slowly starting to show signs of spring, but then in the next couple chapters (a week in their time as its stated), its a summer heat outside and the main female is wearing dresses all the time?
It made it confusing and hard to follow at times. And others it made me want to just put it down. But as I said, the story behind it is so promising. And I had to see how it ended- even if it was difficult to get there.
I dont like leaving reviews unless they're positive, but I just couldn't not say anything. I guess im hoping the author sees this and instead of taking it negatively, can use it to help look at how they lay out their world building for future books? I dont know.
Overall, the book is okay but could be so nuch better without all the confusion.

I read this because I was looking for a dark omegaverse. While this is definitely a darker read, it's not super dark. Like our MCs do some messed up things to and for the FMC but they mean well. So definitely morally grey. Dark romance girls will understand that 👍 Anyway, this is where I yell SPOILERS and tell you all about it.
We have our FMC who has no clue about anything and is living with a crappy boyfriend at a crappy job. Life is just crappy okay. Then one day our boy is walking and smells something that draws his attention. Anyway our MC was like Yeah she's mine. So our golden retriever goes back and tells his pack "You will not believe what I found" They don't believe him, so he drags grumpy MC to show her to him. Turns out the girl is not smelling so human... Anyway, the pack is yelling mine and our girl is just trying to survive. Some things go down and they pretty much kidnap and drug her. (That was my favorite part 😍) TRIGGERS: dubcon, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, kidnapping, manipulation, stalking, heats, drugging, knotting, breeding, murder, pregnancy, blood, OTT alphas. CLIFFHANGER

Beware: hot growly alphas! The Alpha's Perfect Prey Duet
Layla Sparks you sneaky author you. This book was addictive. I could not nor did I want to put this book down. The way I devoured this book was ridiculous. I loved these characters and this world was exciting and hot! I'm not hard to please, give me some hot alphas going all protector-obsessed mode on their omega with an action-filled plot, make it piping hot, and I'm happy. If I'm blushing while giggling and kicking my feet the author has done the job of entertaining me and taking me away to a fantasy world.

Mia is shy and insecure. She hasn't had the easiest life but she's doing her best.
Kane is the stubborn pack leader alpha boss man.
Jace is the impulsive troublemaker.
Finn is the most lethal. He's the enforcer of the group.
I loved how their relationship evolved and how Mia's confidence grew. Their dynamic was sweet and steamy. Gah! I can't wait to read book 2 after this cliffhanger! Gimme, gimme!
This was a good one. The plot was super engaging, all the main MCs unique and complement each other well. Mia is an omega raised in the human world, with no knowledge of her ancestry. She works as a barista and lives with her terrible boyfriend Justin, when Jace, an Alpha, catches her sent. He goes back to his fellow pack Alpha member Finn and to his pack leader Kane. All three of them have qualities to die for – they fall and they fall hard. Their only goal is to protect Mia, mark her and make her theirs. But it’s not easy when Mia needs a crash course to who she is, what a pack is – and that werewolves exist. So, there are a lot back and forth, but one thing is certain; she feels for them as much and deep as they feel for her. The hot encounters nearly made my kindle burst out in flames. The book ends in a breathtaking cliffy. I can’t wait to find out what happens next! 5 stars.

There’s a few sentences that don’t make sense in the beginning like somehow Jace knows Mia’s work schedule when he only sees her the day before (he didn’t follow her yet). A little repetitive especially about how Mia is an omega who needs a pack and how she needs to be pregnant. Reading was a bit difficult as a lot of the sentences were short and felt more like statements and didn’t flow as well into a story/plot until towards 1/4 of the book. A few scenes where it seems to time jump and readers can get confused like when Mia has her hand wrapped but it was only two days at the most and it was healed (why did the human doctor not notice/question how her wrist healed so fast). What I didn’t like as much was how all the men wanted her pregnant but didn’t accept Mia’s “no” or help when she told them she didn’t want to get pregnant. They were just standing there letting her scream at them then go back to trying to get her pregnant.
Wolf shifter reverse harem, but the world is designed more like a regular omegaverse. The Alpha wolves are plentiful and form small packs of three (?). In this story, Mia is orphaned at birth when her parents' pack are murdered by Unknowns. There is an indication that the mother was arranged to mate someone else but went with her heart instead. Adopted by a negligent human couple, Mia has no idea of her heritage and a battered ego. She's discovered by an Alpha pack when she's working in a diner supporting her abusive boyfriend. The pack "rescues" her but basically screws up every attempt to help her adjust to a new life construct. The entire plot revolves around various sexual situations, some fantasy, some real. I never got the impression from the presentation that there was true emotion. The scenes were mildly disturbing rather than titillating.
First off, this is NOT Omegaverse. This is a Shifter book. Omegaverse does not turn into werewolves.
Second, the blatant lying and gaslighting to this poor woman was insane. Telling her she can’t get pregnant when she was freaked out about it but then naturally gets pregnant is so manipulative.
But my biggest issue is the fact that they bonded her without her consent and her having no idea what was going on. She believed she was a human and had never even heard of shifters, omegas, knots, etc. And instead of earning her trust, explaining about their world and what she actually is and letting her feel comfortable in this new world and choosing to bond to them they drug her and do it without her consent or without any discussion of what it is/means.
Honestly it just felt really choppy and no substance at all. It was horrible writing and just didn’t make sense.

I rate this a 3,5⭐️. I like the plot and things happening but I got some Ickes from this book too. Like how Kane, Jace and Finn would fantasise of dirty things to do to Mia, and vise versa. And it’s nit enough for them to fantasise about eachother but the author wrote it so it would seem like that was what was happening in the book and that grossed me out. Another thing I didn’t like was that the chapters shipped a lot of time like there was time between chapters and I didn’t like that. Another thing I didn’t like was that omegas can’t shift and I think that’s kinda ridiculous. And that the alohas only mentioned their wolf in the middle and towards the end. I also didn’t like how they only shifted once and I think that’s not enough. I also didn’t like how after they had sex then their dicks would expand and «knot her up».

this book genuinely made me mad. the beginning was okay - ish. Jace finds her in the midst of an abusive relationship and tells the two other alphas that they need to protect/save her. i was rooting hard for Jace and her, and Finn. but Kane gave off really bad vibes from the jump. IMHO, I feel like Jace should have been the one to Court her and break her into this new life AND TELL HER THE TRUTH. but that doesn't happen. I feel like, he found her, so he should have been her initial. but the lying and gaslighting really ticked all my yuck boxes. so, needless to say - that book went right into the dnf pile. im not wasting my time reading about someone being coerced from one abusive relationship into another.
This story pulled me in right from the start and kept me hooked.
Mia, our FMC, has been through so much, and while her journey is full of ups and downs, what shines is the unwavering support of her Alphas. Kane and the others were absolute standouts, even when they bent the truth; their devotion and love for Mia made them impossible not to root for. Keep in mind, Mia might annoy you with how naive she is, but it gets better towards the end.
I’m excited to see how it all ends!

I love books by this author but this one I couldn’t really get into, it started off strong but then it lost me, I’m not liking the pack at all. They save her from a boyfriend that was hurting her just to claim her without telling all the details about how the bond works or even her heats, they didn’t even explain to her really what it means to be an omega and lied to get her pregnant. They wanted to bond her and keep her locked up that’s what it seems. Ends on cliffhanger
I loved this book, and am so excited for the second as the cliffhanger leaves you needing more. Just like all the other books pertaining to the omegaverse if you’ve read them, this book did not disappoint, broody possessive, touch her and die vibes. The love and emotional conflict throughout keeps it interesting and I enjoyed the different approach in this story that the others didn’t have. I honestly could relate to the story and loved all other books by this author.
Dnf @21%. I wanted to like this book, the blurb sounded interesting but it was not. The 3 mmc’s sit there and watch the fmc have sex with her boyfriend through her window (she’s not enjoying it but still). They already claim her as theirs to themselves and want her to be with them but yet don’t somehow stop her from having sex with someone else, that’s definitely not possessive enough for me. They also know she’s being abused but leave her in that situation to figure things out. Nope, I’m out ✌️

My overall thoughts of the book are my oh my what a hot, hot, hot, story. I couldn’t put this story down. Mia is just trying to survive. Her boyfriend is the worst and she has no family. Jace sees her and can’t resist. He tells his pack about her and then Fin comes. They know what she is but she doesn’t. This story was sweet and extremely hot. I love Jace, Finn, and Kane. They each bring something different to the table. I liked the plot and the back story. I wanted more!!! Layla Sparks is my new favorite author, I can’t wait to read what is next.

I stopped reading this book because the way the guys behaved was totally revolting👿 They lied to her ("no,no, you can't get pregnant", the f*ck she can!!!), they bounded her without explaining anything, and especially the consequences! They knew she was an omega from the beginning but they prefered caging her with a bond rather than communicating! With all those deceits, they exposed her to danger and of course claimed that they were their only chance to be protected. Thinking that they would get their HEA is downright impossible. What they did is unforgivable!

Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Raised with humans, Mia’s life will take a sharp turn when three possessive Alpha werewolves luck upon her scent in the coffee shop where she works part-time barista. An unclaimed omega is a rarity, and she was destined to belong to Kane, Finn, and Jace. But just when she can see herself in a life with these intense men, away from her ex, her trust is tested, and she has to make a decision which will affect them all. Their story will continue in the second book so be aware there is a cliffhanger!
Kane, Finn and Jace are protective when they meet their Omega who thinks she's human. omegas are rare and sought after for breeding but she is their mate first they have to deal with her abusive boyfriend. No spoilers but they mark her, mate with her, get her through her first heat knowing they need to protect her from all alphas but she's also being hunted because of her bloodline, something she knows nothing about. Ends on a serious cliffhanger so prepare to read book two. Spice 3.5/5, hot but not kinky other than backdoor action and dp.
Is this AI? This has horribly choppy scenes and there is no connection between the characters whatsoever. Nothing makes sense and everything is contradicted. First her wrist is supposed to be broken but then it's just sprained. She has a horribly stupid bathing scene with one of the male characters right after she meets him that is so ridiculous entirely. But during that scene she is taking a bath but then also showering? And standing but then also laying down? She gets a massage and is laying on a bed but then also a massage table? Horrible horrible book with terrible writing and tropes. So bad its hard to believe a real human wrote it.
Marking Mia is a wild ride — dark Omegaverse vibes, obsessive Alphas, and a heroine caught in the chaos. Layla Sparks delivers intense stalker romance energy with just the right balance of danger, heat, and emotional pull. If you’re into possessive dynamics, reverse harem tension, and can't-look-away drama, this is your next binge-read. Not for the faint of heart, but perfect if you love your romance dark and dominant.
