More explanation on what happened in the first book. Lorelai is met with new challenges throughout her pregnancy. Not as good as the first book but still enjoyed it.
I FREAKIN LOVED IT! I was consumed by this book I couldn't read fast enough. Each book just gets better. The angst, the suspense and the excitement were at times intense and made me feel jittery. Lorilei more than once proved her strength. She was both vulnerable and strong. Her Alpha's and the children made her vulnerable but their strength together was mysterious and sexy. The sex scenes were off the charts smokin hot! But at times it seemed like that's all they did was have sex. I felt there were some things that were much more important than having sex. They children sound absolutely adorable and I can't wait to for them grow bigger and stronger. The romance between Lorilei's mother and Galen was a great addition to the story. I just finished book three and OH WHAT A CLIFFHANGER! I can't wait for the next book. I'm so excited. I highly recommend this series to everyone.
This is definitely not a book for the prudish. Are there too many sex scenes? Probably, but underneath that there are great characters and an excellent plot that will keep you up late reading just one more chapter…. 🐈⬛
In this book there is more to discover or answers to many questions that came up in the first book.
Lorelei’s dad is scheming against the alphas. Lucas her twin brother who is also winter born is talking to other shadows? Lorelei is afraid of losing the alphas, they assure her that won’t happen but Kai has received his mating mark. He avoids all females so the mate bond does not call out to him. When the heat hits all bets are off and the pack is going crazy. Lorelei is not sure if she can handle losing Kai.
Can Lorelei deal with the guilt of how she saved her brother Lucas? Lorelei is not the only one with shadows and discovers Brax has them? Kane and his mother Tabby help with herbs as Lorelei and the alphas find out about the pregnancy.
Someone is helping Lorelei’s dad to go against the alphas but who?
I cannot get enough of this story. the cliffhanger at the end of this book about ripped my heart out. Definitely an addictive story. this one is more plot driven than spice, but still pretty spicy lol I love it, the characters, the story, plot twists, the emotion. the perfect story ❤️
I love a good book that can meld its main story with some spicy scenes and make it seem intentional and add depth to the read. Unfortunately, this just wasnt anywhere close to that. Nothing progressed without at least a romp in the sheets before anything important to the plot happened and then again immediately afterwards. It really takes away from the actual story line it's trying to create. I also find it had a lot of character building flaws I just wasnt too keen on, especially around Lori. If Lori is being portrayed as someone who's sparky and can stand her own, why make it so she's so quick to release her beliefs/convictions after getting heated about issues that repeatedly occur (like all the secrets and information they keep from her)? All because they're good in the sheets? It doesn't add weight behind the character portrayal of making her an assertive or bold lead.
Spoiler:
The scene with her being drugged by her mother and waking up as if it wasnt a big deal and just accepting it as normal also completely contradicts her character build. If someone is traumatized after being held captive after being drugged around a loved one, does it really make sense she would be okay getting drugged against her will again? And to then brush off the scene because Derik says he'd encourage her mom to do it again if she thought it was right to protect her? Where's the autonomy she apparently holds in high regards? These are just a couple examples of why her character build just doesn't align with
It's just an all round really difficult read if you're looking for plot and sex scenes. If you focus solely on just the sex scenes you may enjoy it, but they get pretty repetitive too.

There is a point where there is just too much filth. Don’t get me wrong love the filth just there was a lot.
Its filth, let’s go find the answers, no we can’t tell you
Then lots of things happen all in the same day.

Book 2 was much better than book 1 in my opinion because there was more story than sex. Although some of the things still don't align and of course the alphas are still keeping secrets. I also got a ton of questions with the conclusion.
I think the overall premise of the story is intriguing and I like that it's not a typical paranormal fantasy.
I still think that there is entirely too much sex in the story, I know it's reverse harem but it's not porn (eye roll) and it's like every single thing they do just leads to sex. Sometimes it doesn't make sense.
I will read the next one if I can find it for free.
Continues the adventures and story from the first book. It was so fun reading all the new adventures and trials the mates went through. Sex scenes are spicy!
I do have questions about the shadows…. I get their purpose but would like to know more about their origins and why only certain characters have them.
Liked some of the plot twists, starts to drag a bit at the end. I really wanted the brother to redeem himself, but apparently not. Kinda pissed Lor seems way more into Brax and that doesn’t seem very balanced considering their situation. Poor Kai, I actually liked him.

I read the first one and it’s pretty good if you’re looking for something easy and suuuuper smutty.
I picked up the second one and had to stop. I can no longer picture the characters without a stupid “smirk” on their faces. This is now my least favourite word.
I feel like a lot of the plot came together in this story! I'm so glad they discovered that they were all mates and two winter born twins... love that plot twist! I'm anxious to see what happens in Book 3 with the vampire battle and hoping for a beautiful future for Lori and her alphas.

her story telling is unmatched! So many twists and turns but not overwhelming, they are all connected and slowly build on each other for a big climax! I cannot start book 3 fast enough!
Love the story development and that we got to learn more about the issues between the Wolves, Vamps and Humans. Very SMUTTY. But loved every second of the story.
