I gave this series as a whole 5 stars!!! Really great paranormal romantic suspense series, as always with great steamy scenes, awesome plots and wonderful writing from Kate Rudolph!!!
Hunting Season*****Owen and Stasia
This is a really great paranormal, shifter, fated mates suspense romance. Owen, former Army, is part of a pack of werewolves who were all military, changed in a mysterious ritual after all being kidnapped in Germany 2 years ago. They were all rescued and then released from service but then started changing 3 months later. They now run a protection agency.
Stasia Nichols, a NY doctor, tries to distance herself from her billionaire family that seems to have its hands in multiple potentially shady pies, but has just had another kidnapping attempt against her, they almost got her this time. Her father and brother, who run a multi billion dollar corporation and perhaps deal in some shady dealings (that may have lead to previous kidnapping attempts for Stasia in the past) insist that she needs extra protection. Her brother AR (one of her nine 1/2 siblings) calls in a favor from a friend, Owen’s pack leader.
This book is a great read, full of action and suspense as well as spicy times and of course a beautiful romance. Are they fated mates? Is that a real thing? They’re going to find out!

This was Em and Andre’s story. Em is Stasia’s sister from the previous book, and a world famous rockstar. Andre is former military, one of the men and women kidnapped and turned werewolf with Owen, from the previous book.
They met when Owen brought Stasia and her sister to the warehouse to treat one of Owen and Andre’s pack members who had been shot, and instantly seemed to get under each others skin. But when Em calls her sister in a panic after finding claw gouges in her dressing room table along with a torn up costume while she’s on tour, Andre can’t seem to let anyone but himself go to her to protect her. Why is he so possessive all of a sudden??? Their chemistry seems to sizzle like a slow burn…But the more Andre is around Em the more he feels the need to protect her and keep her safe, and he begins to see the real woman behind the rockstar…And Em can’t help but notice the only time she feels safe is with Andre near by…. Can they work together to find the shadow werewolf that seems to be after Em? Can he keep her safe?
This is a great story, with lots of intrigue, a slow burn but when Em and Andre finally give in to their feelings things really heat up🔥🔥🔥
Stalking Magic *****
HoooooBoy!!!! This one was intense!!!!! I loved it!!!!😍😍😍
Following the “magically made” pack of werewolves/shifters, this one features Rowe, the bad boy of the park, always restless, always getting himself in trouble, a lover of ladies… along with Vi, the witch that helped Andre and Em in the last book with their shadow werewolf. Vi’s coven leader Rosalie, who Vi trusts and grew up with has asked Vi to contact Rowe’s pack for protection for an upcoming meeting with another coven. She is squirrelly from the start, but she promises to give the pack knowledge about being werewolves and teach them about magic in return for taking the job. When Vi picks Rowe up, from the police department they both instantly feel a connection, but they are both determined to deny it, Vi doesn’t need that kind of trouble in her life. When the meeting starts all sorts of mystery and hijinks ensue and most of the book is a combination of high heat slow burn between Vi and Rowe and figuring out what’s going on in the woods with these witches. Kate’s loaded this one up with magic in the woods, another “natural” pack of shifters guarding the other coven, magic trees, beast/monster attacks in the woods and a whole conspiracy going on!!!!! It was so fantastic!!! Rowe and Vi are EXPLOSIVE🌶️🔥😍.

Hunting Season
Stasia is the daughter of the third richest man in New York. She was talking to him when someone attempted to kidnap her. With the help of onlookers she got away. The downside was she was on the phone with her dad at the time. Now he's going to handle it. Oy vey!
Owen is retired from the army. It's been two years and they were more or less dumped after what happened to them to keep it hush hush. The major brought them all together and discussed an idea...protection. They could provide a service to the world while trying to figure out how to live as wolves between times as human. While they're eating pizza after a run the major gets a call. He pulls Owen aside and tells him he has a job for him. Basically babysitting an heiress who will probably balk at the bodyguard gig.
He heads to the city and in the morning to the apartment of the heiress. She answers and he is bowled over by how beautiful she is and she scents delicious. His thoughts are all over and he is a tad confused. It gets even more so when she tells him no thamk you after he explains who he is and why he's there. She heads to her appointment for the day where she gives her time. Then afterwards to her dad's offices. She then meets with the security team. While there Owen feels as if one of the guys is familiar. Then remembers who it is. He saw him two years ago when he and his group were turned into werewolves. How does he ask questions without getting suspicions aroused. He needs to call the major. Meanwhile his wolf is hyper focused on her. His wolf unequivically tells him she is his mate. Meanwhile in a talk with her sister she claims Owen is hers. Can she open up to him? And why in the world did she say that????
Now between attempts at kidnapping she has to figure out her feelings for Owen. And what about the AR security guy that Owen believes had a hand in turning him into a werewolf?? More questions than answers but can it all come out in the wash?
Not to mention how do you bring up being a werewolf to a human!!!??

Is it related to the group that turned them two years before? And how in the world will he be able to convince her she's his fated mate? Maybe Stasia can help???

Rowe's wolf knows the truth, Vi is his mate. Now to get his human on board with the idea. But first they need to protect her and her coven. Who is after her coven? Why? His wolf might not be able to do magic but he will protect his mate.
Will knowing the coven and the rival coven get them more info on what happened to them?
A fascinating story line that has the reader cheering for the wolves and urging the girls to take a chance. L'amour!!!.

Nice to get 3 books in 1 set! This has Hunting Season, On the Prowl, and Stalking Magic. Enjoyed all the stories!
Hunting Season - 5 stars!
Interesting shifter romance! Enjoyed the bodyguard aspect, and there’s some fun mysteries going on. Love the whole mates scenario! Danger and excitement too! Stasia is in danger, so her father hires Owen to protect her; Stasia isn’t exactly thrilled, but the chemistry between the two shines through. She’s in for a lot of surprises with things turning supernatural. I’m excited to read the rest of the series!

Guarded by the Shifter Volume One by Kate Rudolph is a WOW! This paranormal romantic suspense is such an engaging read. It is the perfect combination of great writing, story-telling, romance, and suspense. Both main and supportive characters are well-develop as they evolve through each page-turn of their journey. I was very engaged throughout and couldn’t put it down. This Werewolf Bodyguard romance and its entertaining intrigue is a collection of 3 books, Hunting Season (Stasia & Owen); On the Prowl (Em & Andre); and Stalking Magic (Vi & Rowe). This collection of fated mates is very much worth the read. I loved it from beginning to end and highly recommend. This is my first time reading this author and I plan to read more.

Guarded by the Shifter contains three phenomenal werewolf romances. I absolutely enjoyed reading all three of these fantastic stories. The books are: Hunting Season, On the Prowl and Stalking Magic. Each of these books has a marvelous plot, wonderful characters and breathtaking endings for the main characters. All of these stories are phenomenally written, exceptionally balanced and beautifully executed by Kate Rudolph. Kate Rudolph continues to prove what a phenomenal author she is with each book that I have read by her. I always look forward to reading her amazing stories because I find them to be entertaining and an absolute pleasure to read. I would most certainly recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for new werewolf romance stories to read.

It all starts with Hunting Season, where Stasia is almost kidnapped, so naturally her wealthy family wants her protected, and Owen is assigned to her. Owen instantly feels the pull, and wants to be more than just her bodyguard. Can his werewolf resist taking her? I loved Owen and Stasia's story, their spark, and discovering a bit of the backstory about how Owen and his pack came to be. And I loved the other two books in this box set too On the Prowl Andre and Em's story (Em is Stasia's sister), and Stalking Magic (Rowe and Vi's story).

Each book is a stand alone but I’m fascinated that each story builds on the last one and the werewolves learn a little more about themselves. First was about mates and making new shifters with a bite, second was about shadow wolves and introduced witches and the third was more about the power witches can wield. Security protection makes each book exciting and a sizzling romance develops. I enjoyed each story and looking for more!.

Three yes three werewolf bodyguard shifters. You have three different women who have their own issues along with the werewolves who are guarding them and how they are attracted to each other. Faded mate? Absolutely! But as we know having a faded mate does not come easy. This was a great Vol 1, 3 stories of Magic made werewolf Bodyguards and their mates. I was hooked into the characters lives right from the start of each story and couldn’t put the book down. I liked the characters. I especially enjoyed the strong women with a mind of their own. Spicy and with surprising plot twists. Settings are well described and with a lot of variation. The relationships within the group of ex militaries provides depth to the book. I liked the first part best.

These stories are very intriguing and the plots do not disappoint. The stories are paranormal reads with magic, witches, shifters and more. Great read
Loved the first 3 books of this series. The storyline was great and I couldn't put it down till I finished it. All in my family read but I'm the only one that love shifter and alien romance. It's worth the 5 stars I gave it and can't wait to read the other books
